This was a great request, apologies for the mistakes we make as we continue to discover more of Nazia's work, we are learning as we go. We want to do a full reaction to one of her songs, which ones would you recommend?

Nazia Hassan is to us Pakistanis what Elvis is to the rest of the world . She continues to live in our hearts thru her timeless songs ….. she actually introduced my generation to this genre of music . Had the pleasure of watching her perform twice in Isd . Am proud to be part of the Nazia Zoheb cult ♥️🫶🏼Thank you for reacting to this 🫶🏼
❤❤🎉🎉
Every time they said "India" or "Indian" instead of "Pakistan" or "Pakistani" when referring to Nazia Hassan, a part of me died. I'm glad they did a little research and acknowledged that the Hassan's are Pakistani. She remains Pakistani music royalty.
Yes, the ignorance!
Such ignorant people
Even when they came to know she is Pakistani they still call it Indian. India being a big market is a reason, nobody remains honest in giving credit where it is due. I wasn't expecting this from this channel
She became famous because of India
@@pari1585 that doesn't change the fact that she was Pakistani and also she was more famous and known is Pakistan
Nazia Hassan was a queen. She brought pop to the south asian subcontinent at a time when we were content with semi-classical music. And she had potential to be the first international diva from South Asia. What happened to her was tragic.
@Jay Rayson she died of cancer and days before her death her husband divorced her. From what I heard her brother said she died in pain 😢
@Jay Rayson arranged marriage. Problems with in laws. Afflicted by cancer. Then she was allegedly divorced by her husband before she died. He never remarried. And their sole son's custody went to her mother. A lot of allegations and muck thrown around by her family as well.
Such a sweet singer but tragic personal life.
@JRayson77she had a troubled marriage. In her own words, her husband cheated on her, caused physical and mental abuse. The abuse probably continued even after she was diagnosed with cancer, which is perhaps why she divorced him.
She died of cancer at just the age of 35. She had already stopped singing after she moved to pursue higher studies and got married there.
Such a tragic life for such a beautiful and talented person.
Ever heard of Asha Bhosle? Pop was literally her dominance if you know the songs particularly with RD Burman
@@spass7431jazz, not pop. Bhosle started singing pop songs only after late 80s, half a decade after Nazia's debut.
Nazia Hassan...what a legend! Pakistan's Princess of Pop!
She is Pakistani, not indian. This is pakistani disco pop, Pakistan has always had pop singers and bands with their own albums, kinda like in the west. In India the singers were mostly playback singers.
Nazia Hussan was called the queen of pop music in Pakistan. She inspired the young generation along with her brother and changed the music trend in the region.Their music composer was Indian musician Bidu.
Nazia's break out song even reached us here in Fiji and became a sensation (Aap Jaisa Koi). My favourite is Disco Deewane.
its nazia not nazi. lol
@@mrexpress8002 lol. Thanks for the correction.
How did that even happen 😭
@@sogekek how did what even happen?
Yeah, she was so pretty and had such a nice voice too. I almost get teary-eyed remembering the 80's. Those were the days!
She was really popular in India too.
Her family was based in England and she was brought up in England and she was a lawyer by profession. She is survived by a son. One of the best natural voices. ❤
i guess her introduction has always been a Pakistani pop singer
Probably the first pop singer from Asia to top the music charts of South American countries for months.
Ask any South American in the 1980s about Nazia Hasan, and you will find her to be her fan.
She was very famous in India back in the day. My mum tells me that she was an icon for her generation.
She is a Pakistani singer and she was born in England
@@zainabchaudhry7449I'm sure they're aware
@@zainabchaudhry7449 did my comment say otherwise? Everyone knows she's a Pakistani
@@zainabchaudhry7449 She was born in Karachi
Its so funny that desperate indians now wants credit of nazia too. She was Pakistani and this is Pakistan disco. Our actors/singers are so talented that they create their place in your industry aswell, it doesn't mean that you created them. It just means that our singers/actors are more dedicated and talented. But obviously there's no solution to this habit of indians where they want to snatch Credit of others
They were a Sister/brother duo. Not partners. She is the pioneer of pop/disco in the Indian subcontinent.
"It turns out she was also from Pakistan" finally you realised lol 😭 she influenced the pop scene in south asia as a whole, not just India, and she is testament to the contribution of Pakistani artists in south asia. This is not Indian disco, this is Pakistani disco, but if we want to keep it natural then south asian :) PS she wasn't just a singer, she was a philanthropist and incredibly humble and well spoken, bless her soul.
Oh really this is Pakistani disco and not Indian disco ... Ok then tell me the Nationality of music director who composed her first disco song and also do let us know who was the director of that movie for which that song was composed ?
Pakistani disco 😂😂😂
@@gurubhai3139 Butthurt much? 🤣 yh first tell me the nationality of the artists who originally sung/composed the countless number of Bollywood songs that are not original, everything from agar tum mil jao to nach punjaban. I'll wait ☕
@@jai_yogithe pain tho 😅
@@hellosigh I feel sorry for Pakistani like you who suffer from Identity Crisis. From language to music form (sa re ga ma learning style) and from marriage ceremonies to food everything is Indian. The fact is your National Language, foods and clothing is copied from India and yet people like you have audacity to call Bollywood copying Pakistani song. Why don't you first stop copying India.
Her songs were very popular in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil at that time and were even played on national radio stations of these countries.
1:20 in 2023 still No One Can Beat her in Pop Music in this Whole World. Pop Queen of India & Pakistan
She Debuted in India🇮🇳 "Nazia Hassan" ❤️
Ofcourse it was a too much Risky Lyrics to Sing in 80's time cause of Society
She is from Pakistan. Pakistani singer proud to be Pakistani ❤
She was the original "disco deewane" girl..
And was the queen of south asia pop
Inhone apna debut Bollywood song 1980 me gaaya tha "baat ban jaaye"
Jab inki age sirf 15 years thi aur inko apne pehle hi song ke liye best singer filmfare awards mila tha jo record abhi tak kayam hai youngest winner of Filmfare award ka sirf 15 ki age me
Also ye first time tha jab kisi pakistani ko filmfare awards mila tha
Inki album disco deewane kaafi badi hit thi 14 country me aur ek usme English song bhi tha jo British chart tak gaya tha
Inka career chota tha (1980-1992) but she was still the queen of pop in her time
Inka life ka sabse ghatiya decision tha Inki 1995 ki shaadi
Because inhone galat insaan ko life partner chuna
Uski already 2 shaadi ho chuki thi
Sadly 35 ki age me inki death ho gayi thi according to Wikipedia she died because of lung cancer wahi uske bhai ka kehna hai jab nazia ko uske husband ki shaadi ka pata chala toh uske husband ne slow poison khaane me milake nazia ko 2000 me maar diya tha
She died soon but still she known as pop queen and for disco deewane and baat ban jaaye song aur subcontinent me pop laane ke liye
Nazia hassan and her Brother zohaib hassan were the singers who brought pop and disco in Pakistan. Sad that Nazia hassan passed away young due to cancer. Both were Pakistani and loved by millions in Pakistan and all over the world . ❤
Pakistans pop music is always ahead of Indian pop music so indeed nazia was the first one to bring pop culture to pakistan in early 80s, but yet there were pakistani rock bands in 1985. From 1988, Jupitars, Junoon, and Vital Signs were leading pop bands in Pakistan n pop music became the mainstream music in Pakistan. Junoon then went to hard rock from 1991 and since then introduced Sufi Rock especially in 1995 by album "inqalab". I wish you explore them.
She is still our queen.. She was our and southaisa First Pop female Singer.. She 4m Pakistan..
❤🇵🇰💕
Oh dear Nazia ❤❤❤ she is a queen herself. Biddu also deserves recognition for bringing out such gems to the world.
Yes Biddu camposer and parvati khan
Nazia was blessed with a beautiful voice.. love from india 🇮🇳
I love nazia Hassan's song dil ki lagi, still one of my earliest memories is my mother singing it in our house in Pakistan. It's a great listen!
Well , Indian Disco GOT its first Taste and Most Popular Disco song - I am a Disco Dancer from Movie - Disco Dancer. The song which became phenomenon in not only Indian Subcontinent But Russia and other countries as well. The song is still Iconic.
After that Zoobie - Zoobie song from Movie Dance Dance (Inspired by Brother Louie Louie - Modern Talking ) AND Jimmy- Jimmy Aja Aja from same Movie -Dance Dance. Essential part of Indian Movie song history.
she was such a sweet angel avery shy introvert girl there is not a single soul on planet that could say abad word about her truly an icon so happy u discovered her.
Nazia Hassan and her brother Zoheb Hassan were UK based Pakistani singers who teamed up with Indian musician and composer Biddu and the trio made disco music popular in the Indian subcontinent. Cheers!!!
You keep on saying Indian .this is Pakistani girl, started in Pakistan and then India took her song in their movie
Pop music was very much alive in Pakistan even in the 60's. They played at concerts and at colleges
Disco deewanay was her bang bang performance ❤It was also remixed in Indian version in an Indian movie but the hook bars were used originally in Nazia's voice
Nazia hassan is just a mind blowing artist.. THE BEST.. She is actually from pakistan
Waleska
Just to let you nazia was a huge rage in south america including Venezuela!
Her song 'disco deewane' was a massive hit there.
Search for disco deewane on UA-cam and see the number of comments from south american people....
Iam surprised your parents dont know about this
Her debut song 'Disco Deewane' was very popular in Latin America as well.
The man behind this music is composer Biddu. He is responsible for launching the careers of Nazia and her brother. Biddu also produced Alisha Chinai's blockbuster album Made In India. The song Boom Boom and some others were remixed by Biddu in his 1995 album The Biddu Experience.
Just to give you a feel of those times, I was born in the late 70's !
Growing up, fortunately, I listened to various singers of that era and earlier like Lata Mangeskar, Asha Bhonsle, Yesudas etc. Among these legends was a little know Nazia, who as per the popular gossip of those times, ran away to UK as her type of music was frowned upon by the ultra conservative religious leaders of Pakistan. Although, I must say, she was never vulgar or anything like that in her music.
My father was a music lover and he got a Gramophone record of Nazia, yes their original one which was probably recorded in some studio in the UK. Because they got popular among the Asia community in the UK, they even got popular in India.
Believe me, those Gramophone records are to die for!
I am a 52 year old lafy and was a die hard fan of nazia hassan and zohaib hassan.Pls correct your words she didn't run away to UK because of conservative religious scholars but she and her brother were schooling there and during their studies they started to sing and famous musician biddu was their friend and initially the songs were composed by biddu and zohaib both.Nazia studied law from uk after that she came back to Pakistan.Zohaib left singing after her death because they were very close to each other. They also had a younger sister zara hassan.
@@clothina6534 Maybe you are correct in some parts, but, I don't think I am entirely incorrect. Nazia may not have literally run away, but, surely she found UK safer for her Musical pursuits.
Maybe I need to get in touch with Zohaib to get a better idea what exactly happened!
Why you are calling her indian or indian vocals all time. She was Pakistani. Her videos either shot in London or in Pakistan, mostly Karachi. Its just that she had lend 1 or 2 songs to bollywood n they used in films thats it. Her albums also went well in india coz she worked with Biddu who was an indian musician
india never had any known disco or pop singer, all the pop singers dominantly hav always been from Pakistan. India had only Bollywood songs which were popular.
Nazia is still a big thing even after 23 years of her passing. like MJ her songs are still used, sampled, remixed in full or parts of it in both Pakistan and India. She was involved in lots of charities and philanthropy too which is why her name is still big today.
Nazia Zohaib belongs from Pakistan... Nazia debuted in bollywood only otherwise her whole music genre is Pakistani pop
I have noticed something which is very odd...whenever, there is a Pakistani famous singer, the Indians call him or her as somebody belonging to South Asia and not Pakistan.
Please give credit to where it belongs....Nazia Hasan was a Pakistani singer who became famous in Pakistan, India and the entire world...
So Indians...please correct your record. Similarly, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Abida Parveen, Ali Zafar, etc, etc, etc are all Pakistanies and not Indians...
I heard most of these songs but I didnt know about the artist. She was gorgeously beautiful and very very talented. Her singing style reminds of Marina and Diamonds.
I did not know Nazia Hassan is no more. RIP. I was in school at that time. We were crazy mad at all the songs she sung for movie Qurbani and some pop later like "Aag de de".
these pakistani Siblings got real swag.they are trend setter in south asia..their music is timeless... Nazia is also given title nightingale of pakistan.
Her voice was exceptional, beautiful voice without any auto-tune or any other crap.
Hear Bappi Lehri if you are into Indian Disco.
Bappi Lahri was AR Rehman of that time.
She is the queen of pop 👑 unfortunately she left the world too soon😢
I discovered her music coupl eof years back and I haven't looked back. She was so far ahead of her time. I infact DM'd both of you few months back to check out her music. Glad to see the video is fianlly here.
She's Pakistani Nazia and zohaib Hassan is her brother, and her music has been remastered many times from time to time. There are many songs from them as a master piece
For the record, Nazia Hassan is Pakistani, not Indian.
Simply loved it!
Nazia and zohaib really transformed music scene in Pakistan from classical to pop/ disco.
I would have loved to see you reacting to some of their top numbers in whole... not in bits 😢
1. Disco Dewayne
2. Doosti
3. Kariye Pyar
4. Zara chehra
5. Ankhen Milane Wale
Oh God.... I shared this with both of you.... ThanQ for instant reaction.
Nazia & Zohaib Hassan are regarded as pioneers of the Pakistani pop..inspired by this duo many pop singers made their name afterwards...famous Pakistani pop singers/groups at that time ..Vital Signs/Junaid jamshed, Ibrar ul haq, Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Hadiqa Kiyani, Rahim Shah, Bilal Maqsood, Ali Azmat, Sajjad Ali, Imran khan, Qurat ul ain, Farhan Saeed
a long list...you will love their songs
When disco was popular in Pakistan, it was unheard of in India...when Nazia came on TV, her song was taken in Indian movie Ourbani.
They're Pakistani and its Pakistani Disco! why you keep calling them Indian? :)
You should listen to her song, Dil Ki Lagi and Sunn. Romantic masterpieces, shows her versatility knowing her claim to fame was a disco/pop album.
Sunn bht hi khubsurat song hay. Very beautiful. Thanks for reminding me
PAKISTANI. NOT INDIANS. THEY WERE BROTHER & SISTER
Nazia Hassan was a Pakistani singer-songwriter, lawyer and social activist. Referred to as the Queen of South Asian pop, she is considered one of the most influential singers in Pakistan.
Now you are going back to my teenage years. Nazia Hasan (not Hassam) was a queen and a gem of a person. She however was Pakistani. She was very popular and worked with an Indian music producer in London. That is just how things are unfortunately. I never saw a single Indian in Pakistan till I moved to the US and we live right next door to each other. Talk about stupid politics. She was pure talent and a kid when she started. Not trained just angelic voice. The thing is that Pakistan is very similar in culture to Northwest Indian state of Punjab. In fact there are more Punjabis in Pakistan than in India. The cultures of other provinces are slightly more different than what we would find in India but majority of Pakistani population is Punjabi. Hence it is not surprising that what cultural phenomenon becomes popular in Pakistan also becomes popular in India. In contemporary music, Pakistan has always been blessed with talent above its weight.
As popular and as accomplished as Nazia the singer was, Nazia the person was even more impressive, highly educated, always looking to help those who needed it, shy and humble, untouched by all the excesses of fame, a picture of class and poise, she embodied the best of Pakistani culture. It was a monumental loss that someone so bright passed away so young. Even her courage during her battle with cancer was awe-inspiring, May God bless her in the afterlife.
Sick knowledge and research 😂😂😂 she's Pakistani by birth till the day she leave us ..
Bidu got her boom boom remix that stuck to my mind in the 90s and till now.
😊first debut in india but they are evergreen... Still makes me cry when I heres them... Really we all love a lot.... We are Indian but still they are our evergreen favourite ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These people cant even research about which language and which country we are reacting too... Duffer girl
She sang Disco Diwane? No wonder they were so popular and cool.
Im obsessed with Nazia hassan voice . She is an angel. A Diva . God bless her in heaven.
I grew up at the right time to experience Nazia and Zohaib as they completely changed the music scene. To say that they introduced pop/disco in Pakistan would be doing injustice to the likes of Alamgir and Mohd. Ali Shehki. Having said, they bridged the gap between the traditional Pakistani musicians and the rock pop flood gates that they opened and gave way to the likes of Vital Signs, Jupiters, then Junoon and Strings etc. As a five year old I went music crazy listening to Bonny M, ABBA, Michael Jackson, and of course, Nazia and Zohaib. I went to military and private schools and never came across any of the students listen to any Pakistani music besides N & Z. They were truly transformative and revolutionary.
The fact that Nazia Hasan rose during an Islamic dictatorship (Zia) in Pakistan where pop music, women singing, and dancing were banned on TV. Her whole life is fascinating!
Uff I hate how Indians just claim everything. This was a Pakistani artist. She's singing Pakistani disco. So please if it's nfak or rfak or even Nazia Hassan, please try to consider them Urdu Pakistani singers.
Dude Pakistan has no music or culture of its own!! Indian music hi bolte hai usko, from sufi music to gazal to everything whatever culture y'all have is from India so calm tf down
She is a singer. The music is disco which was composed by an INDIAN Mr. R D Burman. She debuted in India. Her nationality is Pakistani, but Pakistan gave her no opportunity whatsoever.
Let me be clear, she is Pakistani but the music is not. Not Pakistani disco.
@@kritz_y lol you think claiming our created gazal and Sufi and songs gonna make you the owner. We created these masterpieces for our country and from our own talent. India has nothing to do with it. So stop claiming it yours. Pakistan is free. Pakistan is independent. So is our music and culture. Now go fight with a Wall.
@@prroneiaparrapiofictions4797 Init, they're so buttburt 😂 they were lecturing me on my comment too. Like, it's obviously music that's produced in Pakistan, therefore it's Pakistani, DUH? 😭
@@hellosigh nazia ke saare gaane Indian music label ke hai lol

HI GUYS. DID YOU NOT KNOW THAT NAZIA HASSAN ALONG WITH HER BROTHER ZOHAIB HASSAN. WERE FAMOUS IN LATIN AMERICA IN THE EARLY 1980S. AND THEY BROUGHT DISCO AND POP TO THE ASIAN SUBCONTINENT. ALSO THEY BROUGHT SOUTH ASIAN MUSIC TO EUROPE AND THE WORLD.
She was sooo ahead of her time. The beautiful Nazia ❤
If you're interested in Bollywood Disco than check out some of Bappi Lahiri's work in the 70s and 80s. His songs in movies featuring Mithun were some of the best Indian Disco songs to come out of that Era.
Bro they were siblings apart from being a pop duo. So you guys seem to have things to take inspiration from them. ❤
They were siblings
Born in Pakistan but moved and settled in London at young age (they are British)
She got married in the 90s and ws abused and poisoned but her husband and fought hard for divorce.

Nazia was the first female disco/Pop artist of Pakistan. Sadly she died at the age of 35.
Nazia Hassan The shining star Who Came, Who Sung and Who Conquered. Died Tragically. My Childhood crush.
Nazia Hassan and bro Zohaib both were Pakistani tracks release in Pakistan and globally. Like Atif Assam, Rahat Fateh Ali then invited to India as guests singer's.
She's THE BEST PAKISTANI pop singer. Fight me if you want. 😊
Its Hassan..The are both Pakistanis who bought disco music to entire sub-continent. She and her brother were both very popular in India
One of the best my favourite singer nazia hasan...may her soul rest in peace....Ameen...
The song To Brazil by Vengaboys has basically the same tune as Aap Jaisa koi... tempo-ed up.. 🤷♂️
Please stop calling it like Indian and subcontinent. She was a Pakistani singer and her success was all due to that. Otherwise it looks biased. India and Pakistan are two different countries. No concept of sun-continents now so show some respect to your Pakistani viewers.❤
they didn't know its a common mistake. Calm down lol
Simple rule of thumb
IF A SOUTH ASIAN SINGER, IS VERY TALENTED. THAT SINGER IS MOST LIKELY PAKISTANI
Pakistani*, not Indian. She has always been Pakistani but loved by both the countries. Nazia died young and I still remember I was so upset when she passed eventhough I was really young, I was a dancer and I used to dance to her songs. But I got so upset at her passing.
You should listen to JUNAID JAMSHED - VITAL SIGNS
she is not a indian she is Pakistani pata nahi kis barwe nei lika hai keh she brought pop culture in india. she is pakistani and we proud of him she is our queen miss you nazia hassan
Zoheb Hassan best song is "Chehra"...the lyrics are "zara chehra to dikhao". Its zoheb solo. He was broken hearted after Nazia death n left singing
