This Beach Boys song is the Fountain of Youth for me. I still remember where I was when I first heard Dennis Wilson on lead vocals singing this. Vine Records Store in the Mall St.Matthew's near the high spraying huge indoor tropical Water Fountain and Palm trees/ Rocks where customers could sit on the benches and relax from shooping and walking plus listen to the current music. This was 1968.
Dennis Wilson, the drummer sang lead vocals on this Rock N'Roll version of Bobby Freemans original hit. This inspired me and J became a huge Beach Boys fan back in 1968. The very year that the Pontiac GTO was the car of the Year for General Motors. The 60's forever a lost era in great musuc and muscle cars. Real American Good times for young people. Amusement Parks, good Pizza and CocaCola, hamburgers french fries, rootbeer floats, cotton candy, snkw cones, submarine sandwiches, drive in movies or cinemas. Swimming parties. Surfing at the beaches.
Wow, what great authentic young dancers shown here in the 1960's. These guys and gals could really rock and they were having tremendous fun and getting exercise too. This is my all time favorite Beach Boys song lead sung by Dennis Wilson the Drummer. Can you believe that! Unbelievable talent and what a voice he had that was so overshadowed by his position as just being the drummer. RIP Dennis you will always be remembered and you really showed your father was a cruel menace by beating you up and disagreeing with the other members of the band. Glad that you all Fired him as your controlling Manager. He had an arrogant Ego problem trying to cash in on all of the Bands Authentic talent and fame. Mike Love almost beat up Murray Wilson one time too in their garage as he was fighting and hitting Dennis with his fists in Hawthorne, California.
Real authentic teenager 1960 's Rock N'Roll music by the Beach Boys, America's Band. The times were so simple then Guys, girls dancing and having fun. A young man's dream pretty girls, muscle cars, surfing, hamburgers and CocaCola or a lemonade, french fries etc. Root beer floats, ice cream, banana splits, Summer days warm weather, drive in movies, cruising the strip or beach side highways, amusement parks, fun in the sun or on the sand or swimming in the breaking waves of the ocean.
Nice editing. Some of the shots are from the 50s and some are from the 40s (those are doing a dance called the "jitterbug"). But it fits the Beach Boys' music from 1965 . Great job !

These dancers are from the 50s, and look a bit odd dancing to music from the 60s
Beach Boys did such a good job on this peace of music. Just square danced to that song last night.
One of the few songs with lead vocal by Dennis. Also not written by Brian. Love it.

Wish i was alive during the 60s. This looked so fun compared to what my generation does now.
I was alive then so will be dead soon. Do you wanna swap?
This was mainly 50s films.
Check the Ramones version...!
If they have a 50's dance night near where live I'll be there!
A classic track from the Beachboys. The dancers, though, from the mid 50s look a bit odd dancing to a song from the mid 60s

Good way to keep fit 😅
I give this a 8
This is what they took from us.
Looks like a scene out of MST3K.
This is 40’s or 50’s dances didn’t The Beach Boys came out 63’
It's more like late 50's; however, when the Beach Boys came out they were dancing at the beach.
Yeah. I think they recorded this in early '65. Fun video though.
Hi Jacklyn.. This song original in the '50's by Ritchie Valens but this cover done by The Beach Boys very Cool
Interesting rearranged visual clips ( probably '50's )
with Beach Boys audio sound from 1965 . Song was written 1958.
