I love how you encourage us to think outside the box. That is somewhat unusual nowadays.
Angel-Blue Horvath Veselinovic it realy is something that more people should do, and not only in case of 'searching for a steampunk character'. 😀
“Steampunk the shit out of it.” Love the phrase. XD
😁
My character is a leader and spy for the French ressiastance during the german invasion of WW2 he carrys a modified 1870s revolver designed to shoot super heated compressed air (basically plasma). His name is La Mer, after a French song. La Mer means "The Ocean" in French and I chose this because 1. I like the song, and 2. the Ocean is where his victims end up. he wears a armored left hand and stylish hat with goggles, and a trench coat with chains on it and 2 pockets for his pocket watch and his fountain pen, used for a pen or used as a back up weapon as a back up.
I'm a fan of everything you say and you say it so well!
You feel all your passion in your words and it's BEAUTIFUL !
THINK OUT THE BOX !!!
Thank you, it feels good to see nice words like this.
Very useful indeed. It isn’t very common to see someone say to think outside of the box when it comes to fashion, so thank you for that 😊 I am feeling much more inspired now
I'm glad I could help. 😁
I'm currently working on a steampunk vampire hunter costume for Halloween.
Good to know that I'm on the right track.
I've been a steampunker all my life and I didn't even know it until a year ago
Finally you're part of a team then 😁
@@CaptainGlenwell of course, because I was tired of taking lonely walks on the beach, knowing there was something more futuristic out there for me, like hydrogen powered vehicles
I’ve always been into steampunk but this year I’m going to a small halloween party with some friends, some of them are going all out on costumes so I am too haha, I went for a Wild West gunslinger, “Missus Mary Mannerings”
Been out there living it🔥
i appreciate your analysis :)👍
Short, simple video with so much information crammed into it. Why isn't _all_ of UA-cam like this?! =)
Oh my, this comment just made my day. Thank you!
Imma be a steampunk pro wrestler!
That's actually something that could be awesome.
Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful ❤
I will be making a steampunk assassin.
Sounds great, has a lot of potential.
I'm a pioneer woman from the mid 1800s.. still looking for a name though. I was inspired by little house on the prairie. And I live in a pioneer town
Sounds like it has a lot of opportunities. And it's good you don't rush the name. It has to be good if you want it to stick around for a while 😁.
kinda like octane but female steanpunkgoggles, black face mask and a side shave
My character is a German physician and navigator with quite a mouth, he also plays the accordion
i still need to buy the accordion.....
Cool, and not the most common instrument either. But very fitting in a steamed world. 😁
All in it's time.
@@CaptainGlenwell i somehow need to find six hundred dollars for an entry level.
Well, you'll have to start off with an own made paper version or something like that 😂😁😂😁
This is super great!
Thank you!
"steampunk the shit out of it!"
I literally don’t know anything about steampunk but I love designing clothes and I adore obscure fashion so I thought I’d look into it. The character creation process seems very interesting too. Are there conventions or faires for it? Or where do you meet other steampunk fans?
May I ve one of the girst to say welcome in the steampunk world!
And there are definitely purely steampunk oriented fairs or gatherings. But I only know the ones close to me here in Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany and France.
But mostly you can find them via steampunk facebook groups.
Our group includes a botanist, a lovecraftian female sherlock holmes, a submariner, an agrophobic academic...
Sounds interesting, and not all too typical.
"Care ekter" not "Chair iktor"
English is not my first language, so excuse me for the mistakes I make.
But even with those mistakes I think my message came over well enough.
"Imagining upon the Exterior of the Square Containment Vessel!"
(Please mop up when you are done.)
😂
I'm thinking of doing steam punk alchemists is that part of steampunk.
Sure it is, everything could be steampunk'd. And an alchemist would be very nice.
I like this!😊⚙🔧🛠...
Michael Harvey, Thank you.
I'm Group Commander Cractacus Pot (Crack Pot) and I'm the Commander of an airship squadron. I have 5 squadron's under my command with 21 airships in each squadron. I have a Facebook page too !
Lol, cractacus pot
I came up with a character for a story I'm writing--his name is Adan Sterling. He has a bow, with metal arrows, and he also has a gauntlet with a magnetic recall for the arrows. I'm not sure what the archetype would be, though.
Grace Newsom, that sounds like a hunter, but keep in mind that the archetypes are guidelines and your character does not have to fit a particular one. By the way, I like the way you are going with this character.
Captain Glenwell, thank you! The 'hunter' archetype... this gives me some more ideas for his character. Really, thanks. :)
Can there be steampunk animals?
Well, I have a video about one artists view on steampunk animals. And have seen many different views on that regard.

I hope this helps.
i whoud love to be a police officer like cowboy/brithish inspector type police whoud like that
That sounds like a winning combination! 🙂
yeah like the brithish bobby type but also like the early secret service long trench coat bolhat whoud like that i whoud like that greetings from belgium
I'm Juggernaut the harbinger
I made this up on my own
Hey my steampunk name is Captain Glaedwine it is almost the Same as yours ahah
Tim Totaal, haha yes it is, nice to meet you.
Captain Glenwell i saw youre video on absint. Are you going to be serving absint at Dutch european steampunk convention?
Tim Totaal, probably not
Captain Glenwell oh Ok but if you go I shall Greet you ( btw ik ben ook Nederlands)
Tim Totaal dacht ik wel met zo'n naam :D
I'm sorry, but I was completely distracted by your pronunciation of "character". The 'h' is silent, just like in the word "whip" Stewie Griffin! It is not chair act air... it's care act air. How did this not drive anyone else nuts?!
English is not my first language,
nobody's perfect,
And maybe most people just don't care for stupid little mistakes like that.
@@CaptainGlenwell fair enough
