Badd Medicine here and its reaction time! RRR 2022 Indian Telugu-language epic action drama film directed by S. S. Rajamouli who wrote the film with V. Vijayendra Prasad. It is produced by D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. It is a fictional story about two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Rama Rao), and their fight against the British Raj. Set in 1920, the plot explores the undocumented period in their lives when both the revolutionaries chose to go into oblivion before they began the fight for their country.
What an awesome film this was! As we have said many times, the action is alway innovative. Story was great and the actors did awesome. We did realize that they weren't brothers, but friends that ended up meeting. The commitment level on these guys was an all time high.

The English dub sucks! The director S. S. Rajamouli was angry with Netflix to have taken only the Hindi version initially and not the original Telugu version.
This movie is pure joy for the entirety of its runtime.

      14. Black Friday (Hindi)

Some details about the movie characters and Historical back story :
Originally Alluri Sita Rama Raju since he went into forests for helping the tribals, actually used to wear Saffron clothing and used bow & arrows resembling Hindu god "RAM" (was also a sharp shooter) It was his approach to stand as a symbol of inspiration for tribals to revolt (known as Rampa Rebellion, with motto "Mande Rajyam" which translates to.. Ours is this kingdom) against British in Visakhapatnam agency. (Some believe that Alluri Rama Raju taking "Sanyas" (divine way of living) after death of his love Sita, was the reason for his Saffron attire). Sita really was his lover's name and after her death he changed his name from Alluri Rama Raju to Alluri Sita Rama Raju.
Born in the West-Godavari (a district of present Indian state Andhra Pradesh), in a Telugu Kshatriya family to Alluri Venkata Rama Raju and his wife Suryanarayanamma, after his parents died (when he was 12) was raised by his uncle Rama krishnam Raju. He was a well educated, civilized man who felt that the tribals are the ones being suppressed the most by british, and went to forests and dedicated his entire life for helping them fight british, although wasn't a tribal himself.
He used to do guerilla raids on British police stations (after informing & challenging them that he's going to come & attack and stop him if they can) and collect guns & weapons, using an army of armed tribals by training them.
It's said that it costed more than a million even in those days, for the british to finally find and execute him. They killed Rama Raju unethically while he's unarmed, performing a morning Prayer.
Komaram Bheem, a tribal himself from gond tribes of Adilabad (a district of the present Indian state "Telangana") is rumoured to be an extremely strong man, and to hunt a tiger by himself. He used to wear muslim disguises during his revolt against Nizam. He died fighting the Nizam's of Bhagyanagaram (Present day Hyderabad)
In Telugu states (Andhra, Telangana) everyone knows these things, maybe not in other states. They were referred as Sri Ram and Bheemasen (since long back before the movie even existed !!) from their names and features (Rama Raju's- Saffron Attire, his lover's name is "Sita", went to forests and made an army using tribals, man of extreme commitment, Komaram Bheem- Physical strength, Crude attacking nature, Perseverance) being similar to characteristics of Lord Ram from Ramayanam and Bheem from Mahabharatam and out of the level of reverence they've achieved from people.
Both left their homes almost in the same period and then returned after some time and started their revolutions against British and Nizam respectively. After returning home, Rama Raju started wearing Saffron clothing till the day he died fighting for tribals, and Bheem came back as an educated man and started his rebellion with motto.. Jal, Jangal, Jameen.. with translates to Water, Forest & Soil..
As no one has a clear idea about what happened to them in that period when they left, and what made them become revolutionaries.. the movie writer wrote a Fictional story that they met and became friends and Bheem was the one who gave Rama Raju a Saffron attire and that he got educated himself from Rama Raju, connecting everything that was remembered in telugu people hearts.. if we see carefully, we can see all these details used in the movie clearly.. The mythological references are used in bgms.. as these freedom fighters are actually revered by referring them as Lord Sri Rama and Bheemasen.. in many parts of Telugu states...
    Other details :
-Also The Indian Flag used throughout the movie was the older Berlin Committee Flag (designed by Madame Bhikaji Cama, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and Shyamji Krishna Varma) corresponding to the time period.
(Current Indian flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya, also from Telugu land)
-Rama Raju is also referred by people as "Manyam Dhora".. which translates to King/Chief of the Wild Forests and Komaram Bheem is praised as "Gondu Bebbuli".. which translates to Ferocious Tiger of Gond tribes. These names are also referred in the Original (Telugu) movie version on zee5. The one in Netflix is Hindi dubbed (bollywood) version.
-The bike used by Bheem was the older world war version which were designed lightweight for men to lift and carry them when required.
-Names of Freedom fighters shown in the rrr movie ending song & which indian state they belong to & their language :
-Subhash Chandra Bose (state west bengal/ orissa, language Bengali)
-Sardar Vallabhai Patel (state Gujarat, language Gujarati)
-Kittur Rani Chennamma (state Karnataka, language kannada)
-V.O.Chidambharam pillai (state Tamil nadu, language Tamil)
-Bhagat Singh (state Punjab, language Punjabi)
-Tanguturi Prakasam panthulu (also RRR Heroes Alluri SitaRama Raju & Komaram Bheem) (state Andhra, language Telugu)
-Varma Pazhassi Raja (state Kerala, language malayalam)
-Chatrapathi Sivaji (state Maharashtra, language Marathi)

The last scene denoted that their friendship was hanging by a thread. ( The thread literally being the protection thread that bheem and his tribes wear )
Imagine the pain and conflict going through the mind of ram. He saw that bheem gave up his protection thread and made him wear it and prayed to Gods for his quick recovery. He had to use that same thread to lasso bheem in order to contain and capture him. There is obviously a reason for it. You guys have to see for it yourself. Aint gonna spoil. Btw nice reaction brothers. I feel this is the best movie of 2022.

      This. Exactly this.
Throughout my second watch, I was paying more and more attention to Ram because after his backstory, his character gains a different, tragic flavour. I felt the thread also denoted the distance that had grown between them after this episode, contrary to them holding hands at the bridge scene.
The way blood spills out of Ram's forehead, reaches his eyes, and then drops on the back of his hand, was symbolic to how much he was hurting that he was weeping tears of blood.

That's a real festival in India celebrated on lord Krishna's birthday. He's said to have loved butter, so his mother would leave it on the topmost shelf. Story goes, he called his friends over and they pulled a maneuver like this and he was able to get the butter off the top shelf and shared it with his friends. On this festival, they usually hang a clay pot quite high in the air and people will get together and form a pyramid, so that the topmost person (usually the skinniest) can break the pot.

In the Netflix Hindi version, they subtitled most of the “brother” with their respective names. Since it would confuse western audiences if a lot of folks called each other brothers. Plus it enhances the friendship between Ram and Bheem if Bheem just called him by his name.

Few easter eggs and fun facts of RRR:
    1) When bahubali was released many people began to nitpick about small things in the movie, they began to look for flaws, one such flaw which was pointed out by many people is the iconic scene where prabhas makes the huge jump in the waterfall, many pointed out that he should take a run up to make such a huge jump, instead he just jumps from the edge, thats the reason y in RRR When ram and bheem meet for the 1st time, to rescue the kid under the bridge while they jump down the bridge they take a run up in rajamouli style with a horse n a bike🤣🤣 guess what rajamouli learns from his mistakes, even in the same scene we can see ram charan takes a flag dips it in the water n makes it wet before he throws it to jr NTR, so that when jr NTR wraps it around it won't catch fire 🔥🔥... The imagination n brilliance of rajamouli sir🔥🔥 Respect👍👍
    2) Unlike many other indian movies which involve english actors, in RRR we find the performances of english actors far better, that's because rajamouli approached professionals, the one who played Scott is "Ray Stevenson" one who acted in "Thor" movies, one who played lady Scott is "Alison doody" the lead actress from indiana jones....
    3) The sets u can see in nacho nacho or naatu naatu song, the palace behind is actually President's palace in Ukraine..After finishing the movie n returning to india, war was started in ukraine....
    4) When ram captures bheem's clan member, he catches a snake n attacks ram even though he is tied, that man catching the snake is justified coz they r gond tribals, they know everything abt every animal, how to trap and catch them, n how to treat animal attacks using natural ayurvedic remedies, since they were born n brought up in jungle along with those animals n plants, that's how even jr NTR is able to tame n control the animals during interval sequence....
    5) That song jr NTR sings while being whipped "komaram bheemudo", few non indian and north indian audience may find the song lil distasteful because they r unaware of the importance of the song, the gond tribe (the telangana people) who faced many tortures under the nijam rule, hv developed a habit of singing folklore songs explaining their pain n oppression for years, these songs kind of made those people stronger n revolt against nijams, similarly at the end of the song people revolt, even now a days these songs r famous in Telangana area, we andhra n telangana people r familiar with such songs, but north indian n non indian audience may not hv any idea abt it, even the song komaram bheemudo was written by one of the famous revolutionary singer from telangana area, if u concentrate on the lyrics of the song we can feel the oppression his people r facing....
    6) the subtext or easter egg about the "Barbed whip" that lady scott threw to torture jr NTR is that in the climax when the Scott's empire blows up when lady scott died we can see her body hanging in "Barbed wires" implying that she finally got what she deserved.... "karma is a bitch"🤭🤭🤣
    7) near the climax when jr NTR knocks on the floor to find ram who was imprisoned in the ground, he actually knocks the same beats of Nacho Nacho song, so that only ram charan could recognise it's him rather than other possible prisoners, ram charan also reciprocates by knocking the same beat of nacho nacho, even in the earlier scene when ram charam is bit by snake he plays the same beats to communicate with jr NTR, the cinematic brilliance of rajamouli for using a song in so many ways giving easter eggs all the way around is lit🔥🔥🔥 hatsoff to rajamouli 🙏
    8) the scene about bheem carrying ram in the climax sequence may seem a bit overemphasized, but even earlier in the film in dosti song there was a shot giving easter eggs, where we can see jr ntr doing squats on the ground lifting ram charan, then ram charan does pull ups holding a tree branch, this way rajamouli is planting an idea subconsciously to his audience that jr ntr got lower body strength n ram charan got upper body strength... So that audience get convinced during the climax scene where bheem carries ram... Even the scene seems physically impossible, rajamouli never hesitates to show his ideas n imaginations in the most convincing way possible, that scene may be impossible but u could never find any other director pulling of such a scene in any film like rajamouli... Respect....
    9) The same way In climax fight sequence bheem lifting a bike looks over the top for sure, but do u know those bikes were actually used during second world war time so that in any unforeseen situation during war the soldiers can actually carry the bikes, those bikes weight around 55kgs only, i agree that even 55 kg bike travelling at 50kmph velocity is difficult to be lifted... But look at the way it was imagined, presented, picturized, the mesmerising cinematography in that scene, the kind of goosebumps it gave us, we should watch the movie for its epicness, rather than being nitpicky about everything....
    10) At the climax that transformation of ram charan🔥🔥, many people thought that was sree ram's avatar, there r mythological references to the movie for sure but its not just sree ram's avatar, its actually the original look of Alluri seeta rama raju (the freedom fighter ram charan was playing), alluri seeta rama raju in history was well learnt man who wears those kashayam clothes fights with bow n arrows, probably the best archer india has ever had, he fought against britishers he got weapons n guns by attacking police stations n british camps, he used the same weapons to attack britishers with his trusted men... Even he was shot dead by britishers in the freedom struggle... Legend says that britishers put around 100 bullets in his body n ruthlessly killed him... At the end of the film rajamouli showed ram n bheem in their original looks ram wearing kashayam clothes, with long hair n beard, bheem with a pagdi on his head n those clothes gond people used to wear...
    11) the final RRR fact, For the interval sequence with animals rajamouli shot for around 65 nights, each night they spent around 75lakhs for the shoot itself... In that interval sequence they had to imagine animals were there n fight accordingly, for that to happen n so that each n every background artist to be in sync with the CG animals rajamouli employed different tactics while shooting which were not even used in Hollywood movies,
    a) for bear they used a person wearing green blanket, since the movement of bear is slow similar to a human being...
b)For shots with tiger, tiger moves much faster than humans, so they can't just place a human with green blanket, so rajamouli positioned laser lights following the head position of the tiger, so that camera man n actors can imagine the position of tiger n act accordingly.
    c) for wolves they used dogs which were trained to catch a ball, while shooting the sequence they randomly throw the balls in middle of men, so the dogs chase the balls, in that way rajamouli captured peoples reactions to wolves, later on during CG he replaced the dogs with wolves...
    d) for other fast moving animals like deers, they used remote controlled cars moving in between the actors....
Rajamouli in an interview said in Hollywood movies they get to use very expensive cameras n equipment to get these kind of shots coz they have such huge budgets, but to attempt such shots in limited budget we hv to innovate things (jugaad) to get these shots for a minimal budget... One such innovation is using laser lights to represent animal's head movements, he took the help of IT students to place laser lights where required..
Rajamouli says the reason y most of the times we fail to get the animal shots right is animals in real life move at a fast speed any human could imagine, first we shoot the humans part n then we animate animals, so humans imagine animal coming towards them n act accordingly, but in his imagination animal moves slowly, so while animating animator has to slow down the animal's movements to keep sync with human's reactions, ultimately making the animal move slow, which looks fake for us, for this film what he did is he animated animal shots first n then placed laser lights on the set to reflect animals moving n then shot the scenes... He literally made humans run faster n faster, even in the making video named "Roar of RRR" we can hear him screeming "faster, faster" to Jr.NTR while shooting his intro scene😂😂
For that fire crackers scene he could hv done everything in CG but he chose to go with real fire crackers placed on threads, n later on he enhanced it in CG... There was even a mishap where one fire cracker changed its course n went so close to Ram charan's eye, later in an interview Ram charan jovially said that he was looking for the thread after the scene, he was scared later on realising that there was no thread beside his eye😂😂😂.. Rajamouli explains that we should get 80% of the shot by using real props (fire, smokes, wires, miniatures, fire crackers, water hoses etc), then we should enhance it by CG, if we do everything on CG it looks fake...

Hey guys since you liked the bridge scene so much, just wanted to inform you that scene had a motive. Ram is doing things for country and bheem came to save the child from start. So in the scene the director is trying to show that to achieve their target they will have to exchange the mission they are there for. So the child is passed from bheem to ram and flag which represents the revolt against britishers is passed from ram to bheem and together they can achieve both missions. Sorry if my english is bad, hope you get the importance of that scene and after that scene the title comes and they start the movie plot before that it was all intro of two main character and how they come together in this movie.

The British are looking for the guy who wants to rescue malli (kidnapped girl), if raju gets him alive he'd be promoted to a special officer and so he's infiltrating trying to find the protector

I am not Indian but I became a big Kamal Hassan, the Tamil super star and all around the greatest actor, director, writer in the world. For you guys, watch Kamal Hassan movies. Great cinema. But a Telugu friend recommended one of the RRR director’s early movies called Yomadonga staring a much younger NTR jr. Man, that movie was amazing. I instantly started following Ramjuly’s career, and boy, he doesn’t disappoint. Each one of his movies is tour de force. I highly recommend Yongdonga and Vikromakadu. Okay so i want to confess here about something... I didn't went to theatre to watch this movie... Untill today i didn't watched this movie... The hype and all was so much in these months.. i was dying to watch this movie... But one stereotype in my mind that it's a bollywood movie and with south magic.. so all the action will be over the top and the all they gonna show is the romanticism between the two characters and all... I want to say that i accept i was wrong.. I watched bahubali and i was impressed but after that only KGF and few movies made me to go and watch them in theaters... and i am regretting that i didn't watched this masterpiece... Today before i started your reaction i watched this 3 hour superhit movie... and I loved it so much... and next line i am going to tell my south Indian friends something....
Bhai agar aap log hindi smjh rhe toh mere north ke sabhi log and south ke ... sabhi north waalo ko ek request karna chahunga ke appreciate the south Indian community that they kept the Hinduism and our culture alive...thank you so much aap logo ka.. lekin ek aur baat iss baat ke upar hate mat laana ke south waale hi sab kuch kiye... haan humare kingdoms divided the... South ke raja ho marathao ke yodha.. ya phir rajputon aur sikho ke shoorveer.. itne saalo se hinduism ko bachaya hai darindo se... aage bhi bachayenge but koi hate mat felana bas ye hi ek request hai

When Bheem stabbed Ram in heart, Ram was saved by the Holy Thread of Bheem. (Holy Thread is said to be the protector of the wearer).
This movie is laid with finer small details:
    # Ram and Bheem are Fire and Water. So in the scene where them meet the first time (saving the kid) you see Fire and Water both elements present in the scene.
    # In his entry scene, Ram is surrounded by Fire (torches in hands of rioting public) comes back from snatching the man amongst the rioting crowd, he washes his face with water. Meanwhile Bheem (in his entry scene) starts from near a pond (water) and after capturing tiger, he (and his people) sits by the fire.

You will love this movie more if u deeply analyze every metaphoric reference of this movie cuz SS Rajamouli shows a movie with less cool dialogue, in his movies the imagery talks more than dialogue... I have analyzed some deep meanings of some scenes and there are more scenes like these The whole bridge sequence is cool but at the same time, it also summarizes the whole movie plot. Ram's mission is regarding the country (jumps with a Flag) and Bheem's mission is to save the child from his tribe (jumps to get the child) and in this journey, they exchange their missions (exchange of flag and child) and eventually succeed helping each other. The chariot was on fire cuz when Ram came, the place was full of wild animals and the animals are afraid of Fire so to get rid of animals on his way to Bheem, he did that and here came with director 1000 IQ, it also represents that Ram is a Fire. I want to tell u something about Water and Fire: Somebody asked Rajamouli why he chooses Water & Fire as a friend it is never possible cuz they r opposites and don't like each other. Rajamouli replied that they r opposites but if they come together and work with each other they can do amazing things like they can create steam which can run the motor of this whole world. 1. There is a scene during the friendship montage playing when both of them run beside the train, and the train releases steam. Most people will think it is just for looking gorgeous but it is not. The thing is when water( Bheem) & fire(Ram) come together they create steam. It is the reference and also looks beautiful. 2. When the INTERRRVAL title card was about to come, there was a scene where the blood drops on Ram's hand from his eye and it creates steam if u look deeply u will see that. There are many references I can't tell more. In his movies, he does not add any cool dialogue he just shows imagery and reference. If u see then u will not see any cool dialogues in his movies...his movie making is different And in his movie a hero is a hero who has no limits, he's not here to describe anyone about realistic, physics-fail things
