great informative review. Defiantly gonna consider this in my future build. continue with your great work and surprisingly high quality vids!
This is really well made and informative! I hope more people get to see your high quality vids!
Thanks man!
for the amount of subsribers you have, you make insanely high quality and useful reviews. Love it!
Thanks man, that means a lot!
This sold me even more than I already was. Great video man! Had to sub
Thank you so much, I am glad this video was able to help you!
It helps a lot that you have installed this AIO in the same case that I have. A guy from my city is selling the black version on marketplace and I hope to save enough money to buy it. Thanks for the review.
These ID-COOLING AIOs are amazing for the price. I replaced the fans on mine with NZXT RGB fans to match my NZXT case.
i have a 280 variant for my 7600x and it never goes over 60C, this brand is for budget ballers everywhere, quiet, cool and long lasting
I got the frostflow for an intel i5 12600k. It's a 240mm on top as exhaust, with three generic fans at front of a generic mesh-front case, as intake. The result is the CPU around 32 C while I work, and about 40-45 while I play - medium high on 60fps. It's insanely good, and the price can't be beaten!
I know it's crazy good! Thanks for watching!
How did you mount it? Did it come with an LGA1700 kit in the box or did you have to buy it seperate?
@@exemplariness mine shipped with the kit but idk
This is great to hear, I’m putting together a build with that exact processor and have been stressing since I realized I’d need decent cooling. Thanks for letting us know about your experience.
@@JacintoVG cool! bear in mind you probably need a mounting kit adaptor for the motherboard that supports the 12th gen intel, but it's easy to find and to install.
Appreciate your review, Good Luck!
You deserve more views and subscribers. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
thanks for the vid brother !!
I got the black version and just the ID emblem on pump lights up white. It looks sick in a tinted tempered glass case. You can get better cooling. I ditched to the fans that came with it because one was making a rattling noise which I have read similar complaints online about after I bought the damn thing. And replaced it with some Corsair 120 fans. Ran 5° cooler during stress test over the stock fans
wait so you can change the fans?
I been wondering if I can add coolermaster sickleflow onto it (120mm)
@@Lumii-YT yep 120mm fans will fit. Just make sure they have the small 4 pin. Makes it easier
alright thanks
Great Video. Is an ASETEK pump ?
Quite informative covering products not necessarily popular. keep up man
Are the fans that come with the frostflow argb? Or isit only one colour?
Hi, just a quick question. Is there a way to manually control the radiator fans? Just curious, thanks.
In bios you can control them
I am looking to buy the 240, however i seem to not be able to find it anywhere. They are all not in stock and i was wondering if the 240 lite was much worse, but it seems like a good AIO.
I've been using it on my i7-12700k, and it's been fine. You can upgrade the fans if you want and upgrade the thermal paste, which will squeeze a few degrees of performance out of this, if you really want to.
what fan do you suggest?
ive owned the cooler for a few months now and have seen no problems with it even after dropping the radiator of the table.
I just acquired the AMD - Ryzen 7 7700X 8-core and was told that it can run hot, will this cooler be sufficient?
Great video, I plan on maybe using it with a 12600k and some noctua fans.
Sweet!
I use Noctua 3000 RPM industrial fans with mine.
what motherboard do u have it doesnt fit mine 😔
ID cooling makes some good stuff
I swapped my ID cooling with noctura fans and it greatly reduced my cpus temps. It also helped with fan noise. They dropped 4 degrees from my H150 elite and with the id cooler plus upgraded fans I paid 145$ where as the Corsair H150i elite was almost 230/240$. To me with corsair your paying for the water block screen and icue command center. Plus i wouldn't trust the thermal paste on corsairs waterblock.
I use this aio with i7 5960x in a load of 210 watts, the temperature is 85 degrees, I have installed Arctic p12 fans on it
Cap pops off and is super low. I removed the shroud on hoses to increase flexibility. Trying to fit in small case
Is it worth for a ryzen 7 7700x?
hey. commenting here because i was able to mod this cooler onto my gtx 1070. (used nzxt g12) had to cut some bits off the metal bracket on the g12, but it works!
with no fans running im able to hold 70c, with arctic p12's running im down to 46c!
gonna keep on mining till september, when mining comes to an end :(
been a nice run so far though!
You probably spent more on the cooler then you made from mining.
What LEDs on the Pump?
Hey thanks for the video I recently bought a new 280 frostflow aio but I was not able to get the backplate for motherboard mounted properley to the motherboard withput there being some kind of slack inbetween motherboard and backplate I used recomened screws the backplate looks to be org it has a 120 aio in it but geeksquad is gonna have to help me on the rest
There's basically only 2 major AIO manufacturers. The biggest difference is the included fans and "bling". Possibly don't connect the led leads so they don't light up?
Unfortunately the lights get their power from the pump connector and the fan connectors.
This or cooler master aio 240mr?
you installed the radiator with the tubes at the top you want them at the bottom to avoid stressing the pump
does it work with am5
Thank you
For the price it does its job. I don't use the stock fans that it comes with as I use 3000RPM Noctua industrial fans.
Good idea! The stock fans aren't the quietest
@@hardwiredreview Neither are the Noctua fans if over 1500RPM. Lol!
Im interested in putting noctua fans - i wonder if they become quieter and runs cooler??
It probably would, I don't have them myself but I would assume it would help with temp and noise
As far as I could see the Rad and tubing is all mass produced, same as you find on the NZXT, Corsair ETC, Only thing that says its cheap is the pump speed, 18000rpm is quite slow you would expect speeds of 2600 at least
I have purchased this AIO two years ago, 1 week after the warranty expired it started failing (my cpu idle temps are around 60° and while gaming 85°) I sent them an email explaining the situation, but it does not seem like they are going to replace it.
That's too bad, I do not know much about the company, but they do not seem to put the customer first. I have not had issues with this AIO yet, but I will keep that in mind. Thanks for watching!
The way he mounted in front was wrong. See my newer post about proper mounting. Good Luck
I mounted the AIO properly in the front of my case. I have had this conversation with countless people. For some cases, my configuration would not be ideal, but for my mine and were my CPU is in relation to the radiator it works fine. The CPU is level with the top of the radiator
I swapped my ID cooling with noctura fans and it greatly reduced my cpus temps. They dropped 6 degrees from my H150 elite and with the id cooler plus upgraded fans I paid 145$ where as the Corsair H150i elite was almost 240$/250$. To me
I'm using a Ryzen 9 5950x and a GTX 3060. mSI 550 but upgrading next month. Just got this frostflow hope it works
I got a 5900X also a 3060, lmk how it goes! I am interested
So for reference a 240mm AIO isn't going to be stressed by anything in the i3 or even i5 range: you really need to test this with a Ryzen 7 3800X or Core i7 12700K - that's about the highest TDP chips a 240mm can handle so the AIO will actually have to deal with the heat. An i3 can use passive cooling without losing boost and never throttle
True but since this is for budget buyers, most likely they are going to be using it on mid to lower end hardware
@@hardwiredreview Yep, just snagged this for my i5 7600k, gonna see if I can crank some more life out of the chip
@@hardwiredreview I'm on a Ryzen 7 2700x so yeah, information on higher TDP chips would've been preferred
Exactly this. that i3 wouldn't hardly heat up the absolute worst intel stock air cooler let alone a 240mm AIO. I understand he says its for a budget its not really good info and should at least have a disclaimer. People will be mad when they throw this on a higher TDP chip and all the sudden they are seeing temps almost twice as high as he reported and think the cooler is defective or something.
what cpu where you running in the test?
i3-10100F
So does this need any other “water” or is it all in one just install and go
This is old but it’s aio/all in one so nothing needs to be added in. The liquid is inside and will never be added or removed
does anyone notice the fans are mounted as exhaust instead of intake?
Me too
Yeah I did, maybe he has a reversed airflow?
You don't want the hot air blowing into your pc, it should be exhaust out the top
@@Bakersvillso the guy on the video is wrong right?
That’s the way you want it. You want your case fans in the front to be intake fans and you want your radiator fans and the 1 case fan at the back to be exhaust for maximum cooling. Everybody does this
I snagged one for my Ryzen 5 5600x because it was overheating on the stock cooler, i’m installing it right now and I hope it does it’s job!
W
@@hardwiredreview it capped at 66 celsius with the fans/pump on idle in Nfs heat which is a game known to stress cpu’s alot so It’s an awesome cooler for the price
Recent problems with AIO pumps make you wonder what kind of quality pump they use and whether it will go the distance. The characteristics you cover are only half the information needed to know if this pump will have clogging problems. It's whether this unit will clog and stop working and they got these pumps on the cheap. You worry about if this is why it's so inexpensive.
my cooler doesnt have LEDs
is theyre not a way i can change the colors?
no. just white.
I bought a perfect new Artic freezer for less than $60 with tax/shipping😱🇺🇸(scratched box….lol).
My 71 y.o. dad doesn’t game but he does serious productivity & wants whisper quiet.
is it posible to use it for 1 year or more? I wanna build a PC with Ryzen 5 7th gen or smth like this on 1700, so, my DeepCool GAMMAXX doesn't looks so good in my case, so, I wanna build my pc with this AIO
p.s. I mean will it live more than 1 year? I will buy smth like ID-Cooling Pinkflow in 1-2 years, so, this one will be used only in this time. Then it will just stay in my collection of PC scrap-metal (there are Pentium D "Hello from 2004" and GeForce 6200 "Hello from 2005", lmao), so, I won't use it more than 1 or 2 years
thanks for your answer
It will last way longer than one year
@@hardwiredreview thank you
Hello! Thanks a lot for review. Can you recommend this AiO for 5600X?
Yes, I would say this AIO would cool that CPU adequately
@@hardwiredreview Appreciate for your answer. Have a good holiday! 😊
Does this aio support lga 1700
I believe it does, but you would need an adapter.
yes its insane cooler fits on its name.
still rocking a hyper 212, its barely taming my i7 6700k 4.8ghz OC.
Niice
@@hardwiredreview I really need to upgrade it though. It runs at 91c while running r23, it would reach thermal limit and start throttling before I de-lidded it. I'm going to save up all my money and buy a new PC in 2-3 years.
Cheers tks.
Using 280 version with 2xToughFan Pro
Watching in coop be like
Yes I'm on my way
Good video. I don't know if anyone has mentioned yet but these AIO's have the pump in the radiator. So top mount isn't suggested. I have a cooler master nr200p case. Usually the radiator isnt suggested underneath the pump but since this is in the radiator. Its perfect for my set up.
** correction their ICE FLOW model has the pump in the radiator
Is this product long lasting? Does anyone know
I've used it for 6 months and haven't had a single issue
I have purchased this AIO two years ago, 1 week after the warranty expired it started failing (my cpu idle temps are around 60° and while gaming 85°) I sent them an email explaining the situation, but it does not seem like they are going to replace it.
@@gonzalobritez1426 dam that really sucks but it’s been 2 years and cheap aio’s aren’t really meant for the long term so I would think it’s about time to get a new one, and you’ve already got your moneys worth out of it.
@@twisted_sharppyt5240 Of course ! But also ID Cooling states that this cooler have a 50k hours lifespan... anyways I got a new one from another brand
You mounted the radiator upside down bro :V
Support lga 1700 ?
Nope, I don't believe so. You would have to buy a 1200 to 1700 adapter.
mine came with the hardware needed
hi. how is this holding up? i need a cheap cooler soon...
Still works great after 6 months or so!
where are the Thermals?
they are near the end of the video
each fan puts out 76 feet per min for you cant beat the price sorry evga or corsair
id cooling the xiaomi of aios
what is your cpu
i3 10100
@Hardwired Review thanks, this cpu cooler is good for i7 13700k
Picked one of these up a couple of days ago. Not impressed at all. Was planning to change my Scythe Fuma 2 with this just because an aio looks so much better but this one really blows compared to the fuma 2. Slightly worse temperatures at much much more fan noise. Returning it tomorrow and sticking to my trusty fuma 2. Ryzen 7 5700X stock with this aio was around 53 C in cb23 and pbo enabled gave me 74 C. Fuma 2 stock 49 C and pbo enabled 68 C but waaaay quieter.
I have a scythe fuma 2 too and i also really love it but you’re comparing a top if the line air cooler for the most budget aio cooler plus this is mean for a bit weaker cpus
@@tacosaka6501 True but they cost about the same. So whats the point of getting this aio If it performs worse and its louder aswell? If its just for the looks Id say it aint worth it.
why do you liquid cool an i3?
Chill bro, my rig is i7 3770 and im using id cooling frostflow x red 240 aio, 😂
Why’s it so loud bro 😂
Your radiator is mounted upside down....
Do you do gift cards giveaways
👍
You have your radiator upside down.
A 0.4C difference for a human is a debilitating fever.
you should study up how a mum works
First
on the front you should have reversed the fans, you are blowing out of the case not in like it should be.
Why does one care about fan noise when ur gona have a headset on lol
Not everyone has a headset on and if its too loud, microphones for video calls or content creation will pick up the noise
@@hardwiredreviewif u have a pc I’m sure ur gona have a headset most
These people are gona be gamers
i got 2 pcs and dont use any headset on both of them..@@profil3dss984

Wrong install. Tubes must out from down side of radiator.
That was the configuration which caused the least amount of noise, and after careful research, it's been proven such AIO orientation isn't any better than the others. It works for me so I'm happy. Thanks for watching!
Completely wrong, you always want the tubing to be higher than the heatsink
@@oblivionlord1242 The liquid cooling system always contains air in the form of bubbles and they are always at the top of the system, since air is lighter than water. And if the tubes are the top point, air will be in them and interfere with the flow of fluid. The air should be in the radiator, near the edge opposite the tubes.
@@Dezmond2inbox Another guy that watched a video and thinks they understand radiators. There are inlet and outlet parts of the rad. Air bubbles cause noise, they will never interfere with the pump or the flow.
@@FiveN9ne copy pasta comments, lol.
Never mount the pump in the front with the radiator tubes high like he did. Mount with the tubes low or the top configuration is better. Air rises in liquid and as the liquid evaporates, cooling will fail in a short period of time. It only takes a thimble full of air in the system to screw up your pump and coolant flow. He said it was not bubbling when mounted in front that's probably due to lower coolant flow. As a PC tech, many times have I seen water cooling systems fail due to this type of tube high front mounting.
The top configuration was not better as it caused unwanted pump noise. This orientation works great as I have confirmed with stress tests that the coolant is flowing adequately. Also, more importantly, there was not any noise. Because the top of the radiator and the pump are almost even, I have no concerns with this setup. Mounting with the tubes in the bottom got in the way of my PSU and put too much strain on the tubing and valves. Before you come to my channel and correct me, maybe do some more research yourself and consider my situation.
@@hardwiredreview LOL, That pump noise is telling you something. Mount it anyway you want. You'll figure it out soon enough.
Just out of curiosity, have you checked what Steve or Jay say about this?
I’m guessing you didn’t watch jaytwocents video that pretty much makes fun of guys like you. How he has it mounted is fine as long as he doesn’t introduce air into the pump by putting it at the highest point.
@@natekurtz I'm guessing you don't make a living working on other peoples mistakes. Don't twist Jay against Jay or me. You cant change Physics. Go ahead, mount it anyway you like. Time will tell!
Call me super paranoid but I'll never trust a water cooling system in my PC
why don't you give us a benchmark real test? it's not a review, it's just a presentation...
question, if i have this AIO do i need more fans to go with it for a mid range pc?
yup gpu need cooling too bru
@@SkyyKeiron thx bro
