Saw CRB this week. If you took the Allman Bros and Grateful Dead and put them in a blender, you get CRB. Then you get to hear 25+ new songs that are just flat-out excellent. If they are near you, go see them. Best sound I have heard live in a long time. Just awesome.
Amazing band, blew my socks off @Belly UP Tavern,Solana Beach.12/05/12...,hope they release that 1 on Live Downloads.Heading to LA tonight..,don't miss these guys!!!
Ah bro...I almost went to see them last year but was short on money and time. Just crushed that Neal left us. I hope he'll find more peace on the other side.
happy B' day Chris! Christopher Mark "Chris" Robinson (born December 20, 1966) is the singer of the rock and roll band The Black Crowes and brother of its guitarist Rich Robinson.
I wish,I could play harp when the, crows,do remedy, best rock song ever, up there with freebies and the greats. Chris you play, anything and I'd listen. Thank you for the great tunes and the vibes, they bring my hommey, love ya man. Don't ever stop singing and, playing, hippies rule😎😁🍸🏝
The song is good, with the exceptioin of part 4:55 to 6:30. The rest is great blues rock as we are used by Chris Robinson, one of the most talented rock singer and musicer in the latest 90's of the the last millenium!! I really don't know no other band as the black crowes playing in so such much facettes really, really good and high qualitative rock'n roll, idenpendently what syle is on the program!
I saw them last night and IMHO they are as good if not better than the BC. Serious stuff, if you want to see some guys go a little overboard on a jam session but be genuionely happy playing then go see CRB. TIGHT!!!
Oh, I agree apples and oranges however, sometimes people will dismiss former indiviuals from a great band such as the BC and not even go. Hell the CRB rocks as did the BC and was trying to spread the word. Peace :)
Great news to hear that the Crowes are ending their hiatus. I just hope this doesn't spell the end for CRB. They've put out some good stuff I hope to see live someday. Unfortunately for me I live in Phoenix and music like this avoids this town like the plague.
I once had an astrologer run my chart and he told me my best match would be Chris Robinson. I'm still waiting, Chris! What I gotta do, change my name to Rosalee or what?
the black crowes are one of the best rock and roll bands of our generation. and chris robinson -- whoah man, little white guy with that much soul? for real. the brotherhood is a SIDE PROJECT of musicians from other bands that already have millions of dollars and they play what they want FOR THE FUN OF IT. good for them. it's refreshing to see musicians that are just playing because they love to play. they clearly don't care about selling out arenas. they care about making music that is groovy and makes them and others happy. and no, chris isn't giving up and resorting to lounge act crap vis-a-vie lionel ritchie in reno. he plays in between crowes albums and tours BECAUSE HE LOVES TO PLAY MUSIC. is that so wrong?
+Joel York You're right, look at Willie Watson of Old Crow.. he left all the $ to play songs HE LOVES... And many traditionals just like Chris.. rock on Brotherhood.. Close as we'll get to the Dead again.. WHY WAS HE NOT ASKED TO PLAY JERRY'S LICKS?????????? (~);}
Nothing wrong with your statement brother....except it is fucking awful and a bunch of mid level session (massive fucking yawn) musicians, trying to have some soul....and guess what, it ain't up to it, bad Exile Stones and some weak Allman Bros. Hey , thats what I hear. MEDIOCRE in the extreme.
MrAshe68 With your attitude yer gonna fit right in w/ the upcoming world. Oh wait I suppose since you made that statement, you must be MUCH better and more successful? Good luck w/ all that
my cousin saw the crowes at the ryman in nashville the other night and afterwards he ended up walking up the street with rich while rich was pushing his kids in a stroller on the way to the hotel and just chatted about cry of love and just shooting the shit till they got to the hotel and said goodbye. he was so happy when he got back and told me about it.
Let's do not get carried away here as the Black Crowes were one of the best bands ever in my opinion! I also Love the new group he's got, but let's not start making crazy comments by disparaging the years of great music from the Black Crowes and the countless hits and sold out venues.
you cant compare anyone current with the grateful dead or jerry. they were the OG's. yea chris is awesome but who knows if this song would even exist if it wont for the dead.
I had never heard of Supertramp in the early 80's, until I moved from Florida to Maine, just for a change in scenery and people. Then some guy named Bobby turned me on to Supertramp. I was blown away by them, and wondered how I how they were not in my radar in Florida. I guess we were all kind of getting into reggae and pot rock at the time.
He is a pure, pure artist. Follows his muse and then we are lucky enough to follow him and see where his muse takes him.

Agreed, just saw them in LA at the El Rey. Fanfreakintastic. Even played "Tornado." Crazy good.
"Is the air gettin thinner, or are we gettin high?" Love the groove on this track...
I knew Neal Casal back from High School day when he was a complete METAL HEAD. Played everything fast and loud. What a complete 180, and I LIKE IT!
Chris has that beautiful voice. That really makes the band.
The more I listen to Big Moon Ritual the more I think it may be one of the best albums ever made
So true, never get tired of it
We should all strive to be as cool as the guy on the keyboard... the world would be a better place
Love love love love love...my dream is to see him play in person. Would make my life complete...
Mine's 2!
Remarkable. The very definition of artistically free & loose yet tight in feeling & hanging together. Real blues feeling.
Mike Felber SO RIGHT! ;))
Amazing band, blew my socks off @Belly UP Tavern,Solana Beach.12/05/12...,hope they release that 1 on Live Downloads.Heading to LA tonight..,don't miss these guys!!!
R.I.P Neil Casa! damn... bro wtf... Life wasn't that bad... You will BE MISSED!
Ah bro...I almost went to see them last year but was short on money and time. Just crushed that Neal left us. I hope he'll find more peace on the other side.
a must see live it'll blow your mind
Amazing performance!!
Chris is hypnotic--excellent trippin' music. Love Ya Chris and will see ya 4-12-17 in Springfield Missouri!! I'll be up front and center!!
Lovely music!

happy B' day Chris!
Christopher Mark "Chris" Robinson (born December 20, 1966) is the singer of the rock and roll band The Black Crowes and brother of its guitarist Rich Robinson.
This song blew the roof off the Corner hotel in Melbourne Australia last night.
This is such a great song. I love it. CRB Rock.
Adam Macdougall... what a great player and that sound!! CRB... play Scotland please!
Hey Chris I caught your act at The Lookin Festival in 2014. I would love it you could play up here in Canada!
can't agree more to your comment. I really love this guy (and the brother).
Great, great, great band. maybe the greatest of the past 25 years.
CRB is the best new music I've heard in a long time
Slide sounds a lot like Mick Taylor from early 70's Stones - That is a huge compliment!
The song is good, with the exceptioin of part 4:55 to 6:30. The rest is great blues rock as we are used by Chris Robinson, one of the most talented rock singer and musicer in the latest 90's of the the last millenium!! Rosalee is a monster live - anytime. I don't know what setlists you're looking at - play different songs?
Awesome!
Good tune!

Now that Neil Casal.....he's one hard working American!
RIP!

I saw them last night and IMHO they are as good if not better than the BC. Serious stuff, if you want to see some guys go a little overboard on a jam session but be genuionely happy playing then go see CRB. TIGHT!!!
Two completely different bands. You really can't compare them.
Oh, I agree apples and oranges however, sometimes people will dismiss former indiviuals from a great band such as the BC and not even go. Hell the CRB rocks as did the BC and was trying to spread the word. Peace :)
Great live band!!! Lots of dead influence in this circle. And that's what makes it great... Keep rocking
Freaking awesome ✔
The talent is amazing but Chris is such a good front man/songwriter
Gran canción, muy buen sonido me ha gustado
Very similar to Blackberry Smoke. I knew that had to be Sluppick on the kit. Probably my favorite of the Memphis Drum Shop drummers. Go George!
Great news to hear that the Crowes are ending their hiatus. I just hope this doesn't spell the end for CRB. They've put out some good stuff I hope to see live someday. Unfortunately for me I live in Phoenix and music like this avoids this town like the plague.
Who de Man? U is de Man Mr CR, rock it out baby!
Great line-up…rest easy, Neal ✊🏽✌🏽
Let 's not forget to send some love to Mark "Dutty" Dutton on the four string guit-fiddle from the stellar band "Burning Tree"
..Thoze-broze..are amazing.
Is Casal playing a McInturff here? Maybe before he got his Walker guitar....
absolutly!!!!
Lol I finally remembered
Who was monitoring the levels???? was the air getting thinner for you?
Clip city :(
I thought it was my equalizer or my fault somehow, glad to know I didn't need to redo everything on my levels like I just did. I LOVE YOU CHRIS!!!
Ha!!!
Oh yes !!
I'm definitely gettin high with this music...
im havin 2 short bread biscuits and a cuppa rosealee...
i dig that vox with mandala!!
Blue Onyx Rogers Drums! Oh Yeah Baby!
You know, this is great, but who was in charge of riding the gain on the vocals...?
How or what effects is Adam MacDougall using to get that funky keyboard sound? What kind of gear does he use?
That's a clavinet son!!!
He's running the clavinet through a "wah" and an Electro-Harmonix Memory Man.
So freakin groovy!😎👍😃
nice1! first listen to crb..ta man
The one and only George Sluppick on the roundy poundies - no one grooves like him!
Is my girl Jeanne Atwood still at the station? She started it all with Nic Harcourt!
Hot!
The camera man doesn't knows a clavi solo... He was filming just the guitars on the begin...
I once had an astrologer run my chart and he told me my best match would be Chris Robinson. I'm still waiting, Chris! What I gotta do, change my name to Rosalee or what?
let's Jamming.............
Was turned onto these guys at a Little Feat site by someone who
suggested they were ... Little Featish or Grateful Deadish.
Cool shit 😊

Good luck w/ all that
Chris is the last Hippie!!
Except for my brother in law.
I'm not dead yet
Anyone know what guitar Neal is playing?
some PRS model
He's playing a Scott Walker Santa Cruz guitar
He's playing a Scott Walker Santa Cruz guitar
yup, mattybidwell is correct: scottwalkerguitars.com/neal-casal-2/
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
my cousin saw the crowes at the ryman in nashville the other night and afterwards he ended up walking up the street with rich while rich was pushing his kids in a stroller on the way to the hotel and just chatted about cry of love and just shooting the shit till they got to the hotel and said goodbye. he was so happy when he got back and told me about it.
What model bass is dude playing?
kay of some variety.
CRB is Better then Crows. Way Better vibe and you can see Chris is loving it, you can tell when hes on stage. 30 shows and counting.
Let's do not get carried away here as the Black Crowes were one of the best bands ever in my opinion! I also Love the new group he's got, but let's not start making crazy comments by disparaging the years of great music from the Black Crowes and the countless hits and sold out venues.
More like the Black Crowes made the path for Chris to get to this point.
Amen Mr. Dixon!
I beg to differ the Crowes ROCK!! CRB is good but the Crowes was and is the shit
both bands blow. The crows blew less.
great
you cant compare anyone current with the grateful dead or jerry. they were the OG's. yea chris is awesome but who knows if this song would even exist if it wont for the dead.
yeah
Cosmic Gold :)
Judging from this, I'm guessing that all of Chris's muscles are in his throat.
good call.
Truly going to miss Neal. What a fucking tone puddle maker!!
Damn that intro reminds me of Supertramp
I had never heard of Supertramp in the early 80's, until I moved from Florida to Maine, just for a change in scenery and people. Then some guy named Bobby turned me on to Supertramp. I was blown away by them, and wondered how I how they were not in my radar in Florida. I guess we were all kind of getting into reggae and pot rock at the time.
I first listened to this song while streaming WNCW and upon hearing the intro thought, So I’m gonna hear Levon’s voice any sec now... 😆
Seein em in ashland in May hell yeah gettin high
4;55 is the best part of the whole tune which is awesome by the way, wtf??
how are his biceps that thin?
💙
They only got two albums..you want them to play Bob Marley covers all night?
i dont think anyone from that generation or this one can play the keyboard like adam
