The cake looks good! A great hint: A sweetener simple syrup would be good to lightly apply on the cake layers prior to frosting to keep the cake layers moist.
Made this cake and it is honestly one of the better keto recipes around! The recipe filled 3 short cakes pans for me. I didn't try the butter cream (no-sugar butter creams have always tasted funky to me) but I instead made a cream cheese icing which went well with it.

I am going to try different flavored extracts to have other flavors than vanilla. Right now I am planning on making it in a 9x13 pan, top it with strawberries and whipped cream for a group gathering I am hosting. It is fantastic, and I thank you for making the video and the recipe!
That's great! I'm a little confused though on how the texture became more like a pound cake... maybe next time when you are mixing in the egg whites you only mix until it is just combined?? I hope this helps!
Wonderful! I gave up sugar over a year ago but I've found the mixes just don't don it for me and wanted to find something better to bake at home. So glad I found this channel.
I love the concept of this recipe. However if you don’t mind I have a little note for you. If you are going to use egg whites in a recipe add them before the flour. Also, you have mixed the flour quite a lot which can result in over mixing which can make the cake dense and dry. I really love the icing though.

Though I am not familiar with your sugar substitute (also whether it is granulated or powdered), if it says something like “measure like sugar”, then yes, use the measurements given with the recipe. However, I do recommend for the buttercream you slowly incorporate the sugar so that the buttercream isn’t too sweet. I hope this answers your question! I hope your cake turns out wonderful!
Hi! Yes you can certainly bake this as a sheet cake but depending on the width and depth of the pan, you might need to adjust the time of baking. I recommend you initially bake for about 12-15 min, check on it (insert a knife or tooth pick to see if it’s still gooey inside), and if it isn’t ready then bake in 3 minute increments until cooked through. If your sheet pan is really long and it starts to get too brown on the edges, I recommend putting tin foil along the edges to keep it from browning but at the same time allowing it to cook through. I hope this helps!
@@JehovaRaah3 Thanks for reminder thou great Jehovah. Came out pretty well, but next time I will use erythritol/stevia combo instead of monkfruit/maltodextrin combo. The aftertaste of "monkfruit in the raw" was beyond bad.
If you keep the rest of the ingredients the same then I don’t think your product will come out as good as it could. I suggest following the recipe exactly and if you don’t have enough eggs then I suggest scaling the recipe down. I hope this helps!

This just tastes way too much like egg. Eight eggs is a whole lot man. It was an experiment anyway. Now I know. Even my husband said too much egg. The components however made a nice rising cake. It rises and becomes a cake so thank goodness for that. I also don't like the texture of almond flour. Nope.

The cake will not taste the same. Plus almond flour is grittier.
Yes. May need to alter baking powder. More was used here to help the almond flour rise. This is a basic sponge type cake recipe.
Normal all purpose flour will not be good for diabetics. If that's what you're looking for.

Splenda is bad food. Use Swerve.
