They say Skyrim have limitation to have bigger things, but Fallout 4 only have one major city and the size isn't much different to Skyrim, considering that it is for current consoles. Even Oblivion feels much and bigger for some reason.

I hope I will be able to use this with the Realistic Armour Replacer among other mods to make Whiterun feel so much better. I’d never move to another hold, I’d just stay in Whiterun.

Hey sorry this reply is like a year later but would you happen to know where that was? The argonian is the fence I believe and I’ve been trying to find him lol
This makes it soooo much better lol. Pretty much all of the “cities” in Skyrim would hardly even be considered small villages if they were in real world medieval times. And the walled “cities” like Windhelm and Solitude and Markarth would be more like castles and keeps instead of cities.
Oh man can you imagine this mod with jk whiterun overhauled? This is amazing! This is honestly what whiterun should have been. crowed with people and actually feel like a medieval city.
I don't see how placing wooden planks on top of a cobblestone path is going to help anyone get around. I too prefer the wooden aesthetic but it bothers me since I can't make sense of why any town would use wood in such a way.
This is such a great mod! Makes Whiterun actually feel like a city... rather than a slightly better village with a castle. It's a shame really, that my game tends to crash a lot whenever I walk through Whiterun with it installed.

I'm guessing the author of the mod thought it would be... realistic? Cause in real life, most medieval city streets (before the renasance where they were replaced with cobblestone,) had used poop for the roads, so they used wooden planks.
I never realized that vanilla Whiterun was so tiny I mean yeah it's known as one of the smallest Hold capitals but it's even smaller than i expected Love how this mod adds new districts it gives another layer of realistic worldbuilding
It's really a shame how small the cities in the vanilla game are. The lore says that Whiterun is a bustling trade capital in Skyrim with thousands of residents and caravans perusing the city. But instead, Todd Howard gives us THIS?!? Whiterun is smaller than real-life villages from the middle ages, and that qualifies as a "trade capital"? I would expect something at least the size of Novigrad in The Witcher 3. Hopefully, Bethesda drastically increases the scale of the cities in TES 6.
You do realize that your comment is absurd, do you ? If Whiterun and all other cities in Skyrim would be 10 times bigger then the whole map would need to be 10 times bigger also to retain the sense of distance...this not feasible for obvious reasons...not today and less 10 years ago, so please...
@@chris99103 Do you have any clue how much bigger every other Open-World RPG's cities are than Skyrim's Cities? Skyrim's cities are a joke when it comes to scale, even for its time.
