- 7 years and still everyday curly hair fascinate me 🥹♥️ Last three years have been a ride! From unevenly growing curls to 2 big chops to growing hair long!♥️🧿
I thought covid is the time that’s going to grow my hair longer and better but I was SO wrong! I pushed aside my mental & physical health - hair didn’t even stand a chance!! I finally got a layered haircut in Nov2020 to start fresh with short hair but again it didnt grow well. They used to look very unkempt and untidy by the time they would grow below shoulders. I waited till my shaadi and then again got it all short in Dec2021 but this time I got a uniform cut instead of lots of layers. And VOILA! It’s been 1 year 3 months I haven’t cut my hair. That’s what I have done to grow my curls longer 😅 along with 1- always using curly hair stylers & 2-occasional bond repair treatment - by occasional I mean 4-5 times in last 3 years.

I have curly hair as well and they are thigh length 🧿❤. Starting from when I was in LKG i didn't cut my hair till I was 13 when I got a trim. Grateful 😇❤

Take MSM!! And keep your ends nourished with leave in conditioner and/or oil so they don't break off (if they do break off, just cut off the split ends❤ try to avoid haircuts)

what about the curly layered cut caused your hair to not grow? is it just that or was there something else in addition to uniform length hair cut that helped?
There were other things but haircut was a HUGE factor. Layered haircut along with same things would not have helped as much

Apart from that try going to a curl specialist if you have any in your city. Might be expensive but if you are planning to cut once in 1-2 years then can be a good investment on hair. Tell them you want just minimal layers 2-3 MAX! Shallow U cut from back thats all. Avoid getting blow dry and ask them not to do step cut neither use thinning scissors (scissors with comb like teeth)

I have been taking care of my curly hair since 2016 now so 7-8 year approx. it wont be justified if you compare my journey with yours♥️ learning styling curly hair itself takes a couple of months for some people♥️
I can see a new hairs growing on my head every month and I have a very dense hair but the old one doesnt grow longer

It could be the hairgrowth cycle. Every hair strand goes through 3-4 phases. It could be that. Read about ‘hair growth cycle’ it could be that. In your case you can take help of hair growth serums
