Build a stealth dumpster camper and have a roll off bin truck drop it anywhere you want around the city... put a burner cell number on the bin so you’ll get a call if anyone wants it moved

My grandmother had a brownstone in Queens two houses down from the elevated train line. I miss the days of sleeping in the front bay window at the same level as the elevated train. There was something so soothing about the clickity clack of the trains passing by all night some of the best sleeps I remember ever having and I really miss sleeping with that sound in the background.
Been waiting for this one. Used to be a track inspector for CSX you would be amazed by what you see near the tracks. Having seen a derailment or two always be careful 100ft off the tracks is not much if things go wrong.

Merry Christmas, friends.
It’s a stealth camping with Steve Christmas special! I used to live in a house by some old railroad tracks. The trains would go by about once a week. It took some time to get used to, but after about a couple of month it didn’t wake me up any longer. I can wait to see where you camp next. Also a high vis safety vest and the attitude that you belong there or just doing your job will trick a lot of people in to thinking you are supposed to be there.

These are great videos, Steve. I spent a weekend on a couch in a basement of a college dormitory during Thanksgiving break when I was between apartments. It beat living on the street. 🤣🤣🤣
@@plawton35 I wouldn't say unintelligent. I never would have imagined a job in the city would provide tents for employers. As a former city worker myself, if it was too cold, we had to hang out in the truck.
I like watching because I grew up camping, sometimes rough (on a dry river bed under the stars), sometimes luxury accommodations (a lean-to in a campground) almost every week-end all seasons (Vermont thru OR, and up through Canada); it was always an adventure (rattle snakes, yes, bears, coyotes, all mannor of wildlife)...
Love nature, love the process, love outdoors. And food always tastes better cooked outside!
Dressing the part is what sells you’re suppose to be there the most. If you’re dressed appropriately and are acting confident usually no one asks what you’re doing. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!!
Nothing left but a wet spot, Merry Christmas 🎄
future UFO report..........
Reminds me of when i woke up to an empty bed when my girl left me!
Dark Star King did she piss & run?
You’ve made the past year very enjoyable buddy, I wish the same for you and your family in the New Year !!! You too crazy neighbor !! You guys are great !!!
“Your secret is safe with me” explains it all. Love you Steve!
Steve, I'm watching this on my home theater .. With subwoofer.. Wow those Trains really rumble!
Merry Hunker Down Christmas... Peace!
Another solid Full Hunker
I mean, you guys are breaking the mold when it comes to the Hunker Down levels
True Pioneers
Keep it up🤘
Always an adventure when you're camping with Steve!
One of my favorite camping with steve videos.
Great video to revisit. Classic Steve and CN hunker. A Christmas season adventure. Thanks
Merry Christmas to the both of you and your families. And also camping is camping no mater where you are.
Reminds me of the blues brothers Elwood's pad right beside train it would shake his room every 20 seconds
I was thinking the same thing.
How often does the train go by?
So often you won't even notice it.
Been waiting for this one. Used to be a track inspector for CSX you would be amazed by what you see near the tracks. Having seen a derailment or two always be careful 100ft off the tracks is not much if things go wrong.
@@sixmosher I'm no RR but have come across one as a partime land management crew for a local water treatment facility. You find alot of things in the hoods and slums of Chicago.
That's what I was thinking! If one derailed, they would be too close.
What are the odds thousands of miles of track 3 or 4 a year you seen to many films.🤔
@@jasonbainbridge7610 worked in a hump yard seen them a few times a week only big ones make the news.
I love these tense videos 😂 I know you’re not in any danger of getting in any actual trouble but it’s still cool
This is the best channel I have come across in a long time. I have booked to go to Canada for my birthday to go camping. What an inspirational person you are
Okay, okay. I’ve subscribed. I’ve watched you eat chili from a Fritos bag in a public park, sleep in your car at the airport surrounded by space bags with a giant sandwich and now you’re camping at the rail yard with crazy neighbor drinking eggnog by that Christmas tree wearing a reflective vest. Merry Christmas, friends.
Great job I love the calm way you think about everything merry Christmas
Steve just called me out, to my face, while I watched this video in my cubicle, at work.
Just watched, and see video is a couple years old. How chill...Christmas lights and all!
Having fun and getting away from the rat race is the point. Cheers brother, thank you and keep these coming!
I got a “Hunker Down” sweatshirt for Christmas from my dear husband. Best gift ever. All my camping friends will be envious.
Who else would pay to have Steve and Mike Rowe camp together? Or better yet dueling voice over for a nature documentary.
i always laugh when crazy neighbour pulls his wild pose. fair play. cheers Steve for the very relaxing, interesting and informative cautionary warnings.
Watching this old video again. It was good and entertaining the first time and thought it would be good to give it another look.
Today is a good day to watch rail videos.
How bout camping somewhere near tracks in the woods, that would be great. Hobo video rocks
Cheers and Hunkermas
Merry Christmas to you Steve and your wife.
Merry Christmas. Video and comments are entertaining. Keep rolling.
I never thought much about camping. Now you inspired me to get out into nature more often.
These are great videos, Steve. I spent a weekend on a couch in a basement of a college dormitory during Thanksgiving break when I was between apartments. It beat living on the street. But, what you are doing is showing how hard it is for the homeless to live even with boondocking and hunkering down equipment.
I absolutely love crazy neighbor, I think he should be in every video. Merry Christmas ☃️🎄
Merry xmas to you as well
Yea Steve and Crazy Neighbor Merry Christmas
As an Englishman living in Tasmania I love fact that you are drinking Newky brown the nectar of my youth as you camp next to a railway line, thanks for the entertainment Steve.
Thank You Glenn
Lol awesome fun...love that halfway thru Steve had quite the buzz on from the step 2's. Gotta love eggnog on a cold winter night next to a train track. ✌
I'm never eating cold sandwiches again on my outings! Getting myself one of these stoves. Great for tailgate lunches!
Not being productive!!?! I’m learning how to cook up frozen quiches and manly sloppy joes this is as good as college. You’re the man!
Had to crack a beer in my house while watching this, I felt not integrated without it hahahaha
The content you are giving us work so thanks for the extra work your doing to give us these videos and thanks to the supporters.
The christmas tree was a nice touch. Stay awesome Steve !
Steve you make me proud to be Canadian. All the best for 2020 and keep on hunkering down!
Crazy Neighbor looks like hes killed a man with his bare hands 😂
And killed a bathroom with his bare ass
The Comprehensive Millennial AND a bear in the bathroom with his bare....

Merry Christmas "Steve-O". Your videos are great because of them being fun and meaning-less! THAT's THE POINT!
I enjoy getting away from the world for a few minutes. Watch a bit of risk involved- fun cook- camping.
Keep it up brother. All the best in the coming year to crazy neighbor, you and your families.
Mac
You were hammered in this one
I love that butane stove! Perfect size for camping.
