Hey, we all need to have a dream 😂 nice to have the privilege of borrowing a Porsche like that from the dealer. They sound like great people that recognize other great people 👍🏻😁 good to see you Lou 👋🏻
Having owned and wrenched on a 328 for 15 years, and buying a brand new Evora GT last year, I have to say the outcome was unexpected. The Lotus is considered pretty raw by most people. Personally I find it very sanitized. I love it, and it’s plenty fast (3.8 to 60, 12 second 1/4 mile). But to be honest, old cars are just more interesting. More raw, more exciting, more rewarding. They ask more of the driver (and the mechanic) and skill matters. In new cars, no skill is required. Push a button, car goes fast, that’s it. And outside of the track, or doing really stupid things on public roads (like drifting), that push-button effortlessness really kind of takes away from the experience. Once the novelty of effortless speed wears off you’re just like okay that was fun, now what. Sort of like riding a roller coaster. The first time is very exciting. The 20th time you’re like, meh, you guys go ahead, I need a snack. And I think that’s why people rotate in and out of new cars every few years, because the initial excitement is very high, but after a while you no longer get a high from it and you’re looking for something new, because there’s no reward driving it on public roads, other than a quick blast getting on the freeway. It’s that whole “fast car slow, versus slow car fast” thing. So, if you buy something like that 911 (the thumbnail says “I’m jealous”), I would keep the 308 for at least a year before deciding if new cars actually are better. I thought they were, so I bought one, and I’ve now kind of changed my mind.
Beautiful car Lou ! Take care though, it's very quick. By the way, Terry's replacement is much better looking !
She most definitely is.
Beautiful! Nice car to.
I think I’ll keep her. Thanks.
Got my allocation last week for a GTS 4 Cabrio. Delivery is 8/16. So hyped!
that's fantastic news. Enjoy it when it finally arrives.
Nice! So many features over my 991.2 TTS... tempting if I could get one in chalk.
It was something.
The GTS version is the one I’d have. Stunning car. Thanks!
It was so much fun.
I would love to take that around the track.
Can't wait to see more 308😀
308 video next week!

Exactly how I feel. When I buy a 911 it will not be to replace the older stuff. It’ll be the daily driver.
Also known as: “See honey? The guy on the youtubes said I have to have BOTH cars. 🤷🏻♂️”
@@GTC4cam haha, so true. Fortunately my honey likes cars.
I love this car! Lou If you ever need an extra driver let me know😂
I'll give you call next time..😁
I can attest to them breaking the speed limit easily, I have a ticket to prove it.
oh no, hopefully it wasn't a bad one.
@@LouTrottier 84 mph in a 65....it could have been worse, he reduced it from 92!
