Thank you for your wonderful instructions. We replaced some speakers based on your video.
That's awesome. I'm glad it helped.
Thanks so much…stumbled across the front and rear door spkr replacement vids. Have same setup…manual controls and king cab rear doors. 2010
Nice!!!
Thank you. This has been very helpful.
Thank you for a great video. I watched about 20 videos before I found yours that described the tabs that had to be broken off. Leave it to me to buy 6 3/4 speakers to go in a 6 1/2 bracket.
Thank you for the positive feedback. Yea, I have definitely been there before.
Thank you!
Great video! Any reason not to use the wire harnesses provided with the speakers?
You could use those. It would require removing the OEM connector and crimping the new harness.
Question...do you have a part number for the wiring harness ...I see them on amazon but I would like to purchase from walmart...any help???
The only part number I can find is: Metra 72-7401 Speaker Wiring Harnesses
@@mcgurrentertainment thank you much sir...ill check it out on walmart
Does one bad speaker cause the other speaker not to work...or not necessarily? I changed out my front speakers (thinking my speakers were the problem) but still very little sound coming from speakers. Do you think it could be the stereo itself?
Unless there is a serious wiring issue, one speaker should not impact the others. It's very possible to be the radio. I had a similar problem with one of my past vehicles. I was having sound cut out from specific speakers and after troubleshooting it turned out to be the radio (it was old). Good question.
@@mcgurrentertainment thanks for responding! I have a radio on the way (online purchase) hoping that solves the problem. Thanks again 👍
Let me know how it turns out. 🙂
What side speaker are the 6.5 or 4
6.5 inch. Link in the description
Is it necessary to do the thread lock and specific torque?
Good question. Threadlocker is used to prevent the accidental back off of fasteners due to vibration, and since a moving vehicle is a vibration machine; it's good practice to use it for a majority of applications (and mandatory for others). The torque specs were provided to follow the design specifications as well as give the user an idea of how tight a bolt should be. Torque spec makes the bolt tight, and the threadlocker keeps it there.
@@mcgurrentertainment thank you for the reply. I’m interested in putting in some speakers/stereo in my ‘07. Thanks for the content 👍
Do you need a amp ? That’s a big difference in volts
No. These functioned better with the new radio due to the impedance matching.
@@mcgurrentertainmentI still have the original radio in mine will this be a problem with power ? I probably will do the radio soon also haven’t made up my mind
It shouldn't be a problem. If you purchase speakers with a high power demand (200+ Watts) then you will need to look into obtaining an Amplifier. But ~40 Watt speakers will work just fine in this vehicle.
@@mcgurrentertainmentmight have made a bad purchase then so the speakers I ordered are 360 wat peak for a pair but rms is 90 pair is that bad ?
@@mcgurrentertainmentthey say the PEAK is 360watts an rms90 watts is that too much for what I have ? I stock radio no amp nothing “I don’t know anything about speakers I’ll return them if there too much
Can i install that speaker for 2007 Nissan frontier?
According to Crutchfield, the 2007 Froniter can equip 6.5in speakers.
Just took off my back door but now, one side of my top two clips doesn’t clip back in.
Edit: No matter how hard I tried, could not get the top left clip to go in. I said screw it and was gonna leave it as is and managed to get 90% of the door panel clips to go back in except for 1 or 2 I broke. Was ratcheting the seatbelt bolts back in and it magically popped itself in. Very weird but at least it’s flush now.
Odd. See if it's damaged or misaligned... or fell off. Sometimes, the fasteners fall off.
