Excellent inspirational piece calling all outdoor foodies to action. We´re not all lucky enough to sport baby moose in our pack, but grab what´s left in the fridge and head out. Let not these glorious fall evenings go to waste. Thanks, Chef! :-)
Haha, thanks Morten! Next week we are going to see if if we could harvest some more baby mooses, otherwise I share the prompt to use whats available and spend the dinners outdoors this time of year. Don't forget that the sun is important for us 👌☀️
Thanks Jackson! It truly is, and this is the best time of year. Crisp air and beautiful colors. I got curious on how You found this "old video"? Like moose recipies or Trangia 🤠💪🔥😂🙌
A wonderful looking meal in a beautiful location. Thank you for taking us with you! I’ve considered the gas burner option for my 27 but really love the simplicity of the alcohol burner...especially for the winter months. Alcohol still works great at -20C 😉 Cheers from 🇨🇦😊🤙
Thanks Jeff, I can imagine that You have a beautifully fall for nice outdoor adventures right now in Canada 👌👍. I hav all the burners for the Trangia and my first choise is always tbe alco burner as well, like it quiet and simple. But i have to alter and use them all 😁.
In can teally recomment that way of travelling with bike if the goal is to maximize the feeling of adventure and to be more independent. If culture is important B&B is really nice. Tent or hammock is pending on what area or type of terrain you expect on your travel. I always say thst s tent is good to start with. But specifically the Amok Draumr Hammock excells in comfort. Where are You planning your adventures?
@@lucimoto2922 Thats a cood plan! I would love to ride the Romainan part of Trans European Trail. Are tou planning to ride the trail? Looks like a perfect adv country! 👌
This meal looks super tasteful. How about doing a video on the proper way to eat some Surströmming. I think being out in nature far away from people is the best. Keep it up, live the good life!
Haha, Shaun that too Itchy Boot for me ☝️😁. Surströmming taste better than it smells. Proper way to eat it is in your summer house or villa yarden with alot of friends. Except surströmming, red onion, sour cream, new potato and thin soft or hard bread... the most important is alot of snaps! I think Itchy was brave and did it better than average or even most. ❤
The duosal, does that work as a noncstick as loong as you heat it up enough with some oil? Damn you swedes, makes the best knives and the best stoves 🤣Hahaha. the eyes on conrad when you say wait 🤣
Haha, those eyes just just barely wanted to leave that meat out of sight 😂😂. Yes Tjommi, the Duossal works very nonstick after its seasoned/used some times. It never sticks anymore. I do not need much oil either. In this case i poured on some extra just for the taste of ramslök / ramson / wildgarlic. The audio fail is solved, made that misstake before, nothing that occour during the editing but in the post process of the video and if i choose to load up the video directly to YT I can't hear the fail until the video is uploaded. Easy to fix though and re upload. Really liked your last video and the one before, look forward to see more of the Norway series. I have a headlamp review next since it' season. Regarding blades, I can hint that I have a project with a Norwegian blade. 😁👌🇸🇪🇳🇴
@@Braapncamp Haha, if a dog could speak 🤣 I will upgrade to duossal when my pots "wear out" in about 40 years time or so 🤣 Really need to try that ramsløk mix you make. I see adventure cooking growing alot on me. And i think it could be a great way to connect with others, just like coffee for some. I'm writing down projects by the minute, but not got into where i start planing the shot or the angle of how to make them. Nice to try something new and different to expand the horizon a little. Aaahh... thats what makes the audio fail. Good to know! Thank you, glad you liked it. Headlamp and knifes.... stay away from me tjommi...i'm weak as f*** 🤣
@@tshansen sure stick with what you got and excel with that first. To be more clear, what the lost process does not handle is when I change speed or in this freeze a moment in a clip on the timeliness without cut loose tbe audio and handle that separate on the timeline. All looks and sounds OK before post process. Tricky, but I at least know that this is the case.
Hi Mattias, I bought a Kuksa in Finland last year but the hot coffee gets cold to quickly compared to my other coffee mugs. Any secrets so that the coffee stays hot a bit longer? But don't tell me Swedish Kuksa behave different than Finnish onces 🤣 Have a good weekend, Bernd
Keswick Tours 😂😂 this is a norwegian kåsa / kuksa... but honestly i don't experience this with wooden kuksas. The steel mugs though is another story, get so hot so it's difficult to hold them and then coffe get cold fast. Wooden kuksas are golden in comparison. The swedish wildo or army kuksas are good to warm up hands with when full of coffe, these are some kind of perfect spot in the middle. Would love to see your finnish kuksa! 👍🏻
The gas burner gives better simmering control and have as well higher output. I like to alter. This time i should have used alcohol with respect to the calm place and listen to wildlife instead of a ”rocket” ☝️😁. But it works great with gasburner.

Oh, thanks Peter, much appreciated! 25 is good for the most, a larger frypan is sometomes nice. To the the 25 I have an alternative 24cm trangia frypan. That makes difference. Mattias, do you find that the butane setup gives you as good control over your heat as the alcohol burner?
The gas burner gives better simmering control and have as well higher output. I like to alter. This time i should have used alcohol with respect to the calm place and listen to wildlife instead of a ”rocket” ☝️😁. But it works great with gasburner.
@@Braapncamp thank you! I'll have to take a serious look at the butane setup. It may actually make the set lighter.
Thats a good idea to have redundancy. We use propane wintertime, since that is better than butane in cold conditions.
