Makes me think of my mom and I, and I miss her. Mother daughter relationships all have different stories. I just wish I could have one more hug
Me too 💔
🕊
So well said! Same here. I know it might not do it for you but I send a hug to you and everyone who would accept it as it is just what I need myself every time I think of my mum. I don't think I ever thanked her enough for so much she gave me💖🤗
One of the best films ever made indeed. Still cry at the end, almost 40 years later.
Barbara Winger loved her. She looks like my sister.
Debra Winger o/c
Me too 😢
Yes, one of the best movies ever made for sure. Outstanding. Everyone deserved an Oscar, especially Ms. MacLaine.
Jack Nicholson and Shirley MacLaine had incredible chemistry in this film. These two legends won well deserved Oscars for their performances.
One of the best, realistic, heart wrenching, memorable movies of all time!
My Grandparents took me to see this movie when I was 10. They were not the Disney types lol. I loved it and I still love it.
Kinda young for this but maybe not.
Swan: They know about films because this film , messages will remain 4ever.Its 2021 I still cry it & Im a 42 year old woman.Appreciate gesture.
Thankfully my parents were a mix of both so I luckily got to see this
@@jeanmarienadal7268 People never meet on youtube, but, lets try. Hi Jean.
Shirley was so wonderful in this movie. debra Winger, Jack Nicholson were wonderful too. It is a beautiful, funny and sad movie. The movie resembles real life and real peopl It is believable and unforgetable. It is one of my
very favorite films.. I saw this in the theater with my mom. It actually had us both thinking of our own relationship with each other. Then many years later. In 2018, i lost my 52 year old daughter to cancer. My mom passed away three weeks later, on Mothers Day. I wish I had a Garret to love and support me through that horrible time.
Great movie! I was about 9 or 10 years old when this movie came out. Reminds me of what life was like in the 80s. Miss those days. People were so different. So simple. Easy. Days when neighbors got along, no cell phones, we enjoyed each other's company..
One of my favorites..miss my mom so
Saw this movie when I was 25, 2 weeks after my uncle died of brain cancer, I cried like a baby
Greetings from Ireland . THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER MADE.. I saw this when i was a kid. The Acting the Movie Plot the caliber of the cast the story line and the movie takes you on a journey . I mean Shirley Mc Laine Jack Nicholson Debra Winger Hollywood Royalty. Unfortunately the movies of today will never compare to movies like this again. This movie is still popular today and it was huge back in the 80s also.. I will never forget this movie it has a special place in my heart !!
I saw this movie as a kid and thought life would be just like this as an adult. What a great film ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That’s the longest trailer I’ve ever seen lol
Probably guessing, but the Titanic and Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trailers weren't as long. And yet, not a whole lot is revealed.
Practically shows the whole movie 😂
It's a long movie
The trailer for Serpico was the longest I'd seen until now as this trailer beats it by a few seconds.
It is super long but doesn't show that much at all@@tofutti642
"You are not special enough to overcome a bad marriage" SO GOOD AHAHAH WHATT
All released on the same day, December 9, 1983, 40 years ago: "Terms of Endearment," "Yentl," "Sudden Impact," "Christine," and the remake of "Scarface."
There is nothing in this trailer to indicate what a four-hankie tearjerker this movie is.
@bigpink pencil You got your fetishes, I got mine. ;+0
I cried at the end 😢and when he drove that Corvette through saltwater. 😢
Most tear-inducing theme song ever.
This movie is golden! Shirley McClain is brilliant in every movie she plays in. The 2nd runner up for her role would have been Sally Field.
Sally Field in 1997 would've been brilliant in this role. Unfortunately, in 1983, she was only 37 years old, too young to play the part. She is one of the few actresses I would like to see in this besides Shirley MacLaine, but Shirley did a great job.
One of the best movies of all time!
That brought back those fuzzy feelings from my childhood!
Oh, I miss the old Hollywood when it was NORMAL! Great films to make you laugh and cry and just feel good!
Hollywood was always Hollywood.
With morals.
@fajrsahar157 Morals, in Terms of Endearment. Be specific please.
@@fajrsahar157 it was worse back then
Join the club...now it's only ridiculous Sci Fi and gore horror movies
in the middle of a pandemic I find this gem of a movie 🥰✨
are you dead yet >>??? :)
Incredible movie
Perfect casting

If u been thru some things...u will cry. If u haven't, ull still cry
I love this movie a little bit more every time I watch it... Brilliant!
I love this movie! Makes me cry everytime! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Joker and The Penguin together in one movie
Debra winger looks like an angel in this movie.!!. how beautiful was she??😇😇😇
Beautiful movie..
I’m about to watch this movie for the first time
Would you recommend it? I haven’t seen it!
MJPamuru20 yup it’s a really good movie
So, how did you new watchers like the movie?! And to watch it during the pandemic, whew!
It's the most wonderful and terrible of movies for me! I cry every time, when I was younger and now that I'm older with young kids of my own I simply cannot watch it. Hits too close to home and my nightmares!
One of my top five. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was such a great flick!
Okay people, I am trusting you. See I'm this macho guy, I used to be young and good looking. Sure I admit, now I am old and good looking;). Anywho, I cried my eyes out by the end of this trailer. I'm soon to be 65, and have lived a similar life. I miss every second of it!
Thanks for your honesty! If you ever watch the entire film, you will be a wonderful mess! You are in a for touch-down treat.
❤ lots of good movies in that time.
I love this movie
I know this is a women’s movie but I love this movie hospital scene makes me tear up every time maybe cause I have daughters
Tough ending
This is the saddest movie I’ve ever seen
It shouldn't, it should be one of the most life affirming
@kdohertygizbur Well if you're a mother of young children then this is the saddest movie you're ever going to see!
Love it!
I’m here because of Maya from Girlfriends
Lol me too. Just wanted to see what all the fuss was about
Me too 😂
Same here !
@bigpink pencil Because in an episode of Girlfriends she mentions it so people wanted to see what she was talking about
Me too
A modern classic. If you can call 1983 modern.
Debra wingers laugh is the stuff of nightmares. She'd have been perfect as a slasher movie villain just laughing everywhere
I love her laugh 😂
It's unique
Funny.....(hearing Winger call McLaine) my mother used to call her mother (my grandmother) ......'Mother' ...... thought it was an irish thing, it seemed so formal...... I called my mother 'Mam'
Some of the finest moments of the Simpsons happened in this movie
oh reall
Like what?
I guess what you mean is that this was directed by James L. Brooks and Matt Groening creator of The Simpsons wrote personally to him to congratulate him on the movie which led to them developing The Simpsons from The Tracey Ullman Show correct?
Plssssss tell me where can I watch it
Sucking at being a husband and a father. Amazing
Shirley MacLaine turned down a role in The Poltergeist to be able to work in this movie.
Not for nothing, but I think I read this movie won 5 academy awards.

The moral of this story: Nothing is certain or forever. Your spouse will betray you eventually.
Alguem mais veio por causa de friends?
Nothing says I feel something like I never want to see you again.
Also starring Jeff Daniel's
I just love (sarcasm alert) how, at 4:24 , Jeff Daniels isn't even there at all. What's with that? A *great* actor! More screen time in this movie than Danny and John, and easily as much as Jack. It's just not right (imho).
Almost need a trailer for the trailer is so long
That's the trailer?
Yup. O the 80s were great
Truly one of the finest films ever made. A cast of top notch actors the likes we'll never see together again. Everyone was at their peak performance. These people are now certified legends. I enjoy it all over again every time I watch it. Certainly beats the brainless trash they put out now, like Barbie !
A mediocre story.
But. An insanely brilliant cast takes some of the best-written characters of all time.
That makes this one of the best movies I've ever seen.
The graduate
Okay this was real sad

Hi. I'm back. King, out of a Limb.
No such "Body".
Please make the Classic trailer of "The Last Temptation of Christ "
So this is what even star is based on..
Someone please suggest me similar mother daughter movies
Steel Magnolias for sure.
"Night Mother with Sissie Spacek and Ann Bancroft! I'm kidding! I'm kidding!! Seriously, I am kidding. Don't. Watch. That. Movie.
Here are some Mother Daughter movies NOT to watch: Mommie Dearest, Carrie, August: Osage County. And some to watch: Imitation of Life, Lady Bird, Postcards from The Edge.
@martinsorenson1055 Why not watch the first ones you mention?! If you're doing a mother daughter movie marathon, those are juicy bits to enliven the viewing!! Every time I see Carrie or Mommie Dearest, I love the campy insanity even more!!
"Old Saying" Short and Poor Trailer. " Great Film".
💋 💋 💋 like we use "Hey, you!"
Is that Weezer??
Ouiser, yes
Why am I like her mom?
Do you care more about your own feelings than your daughter's? Do you see your daughter as an extension of yourself, a perpetual child without the ability or smarts to care for herself? Do you believe you always know more than your daughter no matter what? If not, you are not this mother!
@@Klm49 good point. I think it's the moms self discovery with the astronaut I am feeling. Her new found sexuality. I have yet to feel passion for anyone since my divorce 13yrs ago
just saw HAIR MISTAKE she had the big hair in the car after she had taken off the ''hair piece '' in the resteraunt
No. Watch the restaurant clip again. The big hair was a lot bigger.
I loved the movie, but THIS trailer would NOT have convinced me to see it. Ugh.
Snooooooze Fest.
This movie never did anything for me but apparently a lot of people think dysfunctional families are absolutely awesome! No wonder the country is so screwed up.
I couldn't agree more. I think yours is the sanest comment in the entire comments section!! I haven't seen the movie; but there is nothing funny about dysfunctional families. It's heartbreaking and sad... 😢Having come from a such a family, myself, there is absolutely nothing "funny" about it. Oftentimes, "dysfunction" is the "gift" (more like "curse") that keeps on giving down through the generations. From my own observations, it seems that most people have their priorities all backwards.
Amen
Your view but this family as a adult is ok 👍
But it wasn't afterwards, they all come together and that's what matters.
The daughter was just plain and damned nasty! How any man could put up with that?
one of the worst movies I've ever watched in my life.
I love You, Holly Mackrel & All our Secrets lies, Secret Agents Services and Yours Ours sincerity the daughter of the female Star Doctor and some ageiing muchadoaboutnothing.Wojciech.
