Nine Inch Nails was my first concert (2006) and the best concert experience that I've had at Panorama. Guys, when I tell you at 4:39 the crowd went fucking wild, it's an understatement. I pushed my happy ass all the way up to like 10 people from Trent. As soon as that first note hit for Wish, as far as the eye can see was one large mosh pit. I've never seen anything like it lmao. I was in the middle of it. This is THE band. My favorite band. My favorite vocalist. My favorite songs. My favorite performance. Love this band. The songs hit even harder since my mom passed September 2023. Something I Can Never Have R.I.P.

1:23:57 - Someone in the crowd yells out "yeah you are..." - Literally changed the way I'll view this song forever. This used to be a song about how addiction will dismantle your life and now suddenly it's a song about surviving it. Cheers to whoever yelled that out.

They bring it every night! First time I saw NIN was in 2005, at Hultsfred festival in Sweden. After that I've seen them three times in arenas and on one more festival. I think I've seen them five times, I think the last time was in 2014. And, man, they fricking rocked every time! There's just some raw energy in the band and in Trent that I haven't seen a lot. Foo Fighters are energetic too, but Nine Inch Nails are actually better live, in my humble opinon (and I've had a lot of fun watching the Foo Fighters; also trauma, because I was at the stadium when Dave Grohl broke his leg, but he continued playing). No band has a better sounding show than NIN! Only Failure are up there, but every other band just doesn't sound as clean. At a NIN show, you can hear the vocals! You can hear the drums, the bass, the guitars, synths, everything is excellently balanced!

I've only had a pleasure to listen to NIN for 7 years, there's just sometimes a time in life when I actually feel a need to listen and melt into all of it, re-discover all over again. It's some sort of therapy almost, I feel the music takes my failures and makes me stronger, makes me think in retrospect and promise myself to change, at the same time encourages me to never lose honesty. I have to see this live at least once in my lifetime, but it's kinda hard to get a hold of them here in northern Europe, I really hope they will tour here this season, I'll miss an exam if I have to, I don't care anymore, I missed Tension tour because of a goddamn exam....

No other artist can ( for me personally) represent "teenage angst" better than Trent yet still sound mature and relatable to me as an adult. A lot of the bands that were great at capturing & representing "90s teen angst" sounded relatable when i was 13 but sound whiny and ridiculous now. Trent grows and matures along with his music. Been a fan since age 10 when I first saw the video for Closer back to back with the video for Head like a hole then a few days later I caught the Woodstock 94 performance. Trent's older songs have all new meaning to me as an adult and in a way the sight of him is comforting. In a sense i feel like I grew up with Trent, like he's that cool uncle that you've always looked up to. We've lost so many great frontmen from the 90s that I'm thankful Trent is still here kicking ass and looking and sounding amazing! NIN forever!

The reworking of the Blackstar track with Bowies voice coming in and out with the audio made me cry.
I loved Bowie as though I m knew him. When he passed away I cried off and on that entire month it effed me up. I remember feeling sad for Trent because I knew how much David meant to him.
It's wild coz 3 inspirations of mine David Bowie, Gary Numan, and Trent Reznor and they each seam to really admire and respect each other.
I will always feel that empty spot for which I never got to see Bowie live.
Craziest thing, my first boss, from my first job I started part time at age 13,, if she had known I liked David Bowie I could have gone with her to the Oct 24th, 1995 show in Tacoma WA!!! 🤦‍♀️🤯😖😣😢🥺😭
She would have taken me with her to the Bowie Nine inch Nails show!!!! I was month shy of turning 15, she didn't really know NiN then and she was thoroughly confused by Trent and David basically doing so many of their songs together. .
If I only had a time machine.

i wish this were true, but the man has lost a good octave of his upper range, granted he has improved his lower range a great deal, so the quality isnt lost, but i would be very impressed if he managed to sing the pre-Downward Spiral material at the recorded pitch. Dont get me wrong, Trent is possibly my most favourite musician, but his range has definitely shrunk. The only vocalist i know of that truely has maintained near enough their full vocal range with aging is Robert Smith from The Cure. His performance at Glasto this year was pitch perfect, which is just impressive for a high male voice at 60.

Through all the lineup changes NIN had over the years, i personally am really happy to see that Robin Finck is still in the live band after so many years. Having seen NIN live already 9 times in Europe, i always thought, he was one of the best parts of the NIN live lineup beside Trent.
Although Trent kinda always has a fantastic live lineup at every position (f.e. Atticus Ross now, or Alessandro Cortini earlier), this guy always gives everything on every show.

Sorry, hate to be "that guy" but (from the Description):
      Line-Up:
Alessandro Cortini: Keyboards, guitar, bass, backing vocals
Robin Finck: Guitar, Keyboards, backing vocals
      Trent Reznor: Vocals, guitar, keyboards
Atticus Ross: Keyboards, samples, programming, backing vocals
Ilan Rubin: Drums, keyboards, backing vocals
Alessandro I think has been continually in the band again since the tension tour...

NIN live doesn't sound like NIN without Robin. There's just a vibe to the way he plays those parts. Every time he goes on tour as part of the band I get the feels.

Have to say that the best live guitar performance out of NIN was from Aaron North during the With Teeth tour. Finck is the mainstay, but Aaron's guitar sound was just unreal during that tour.

Another thing to add NiN live is 'quieter' than other bands that are guitar/bass/drums and don't use drum machines/synths. When I saw them (twice now, late 90's and back in 2014 in Irvine CA) other bands opened, or co headline like SoundGarden, and some other band I can't remember THEY WERE LOUD AS HELL couldnt even enjoy it. Then NiN came on and it was perfectly loud enough but not hurting. Always loved that, their live mix is spot on all the time.

I don't know why, but this is probably my favourite lineup since the Fragility tour. It's essential all the best live players since that tour. Hopefully they can bring it back to Toronto before Trent decided to pack it in for good.
