I think it was more UP than Bihar-- because Bihari people went more towards Mauritius, Indo-Fijian culture lacks some basics of Bihari Hindu culture, cuisine and language while it is much more strongly correlated to Eastern UP culture/language. Many IndoFijians are from all over India-- Including some Gujaratis that came on Girmit, but most likely they have mixed with the rest of the Indians or Gujarati's in Fiji. And a larger portion of the Indians that landed to Fiji a bit less than 40% were from eastern UP while the remaining 60% came from other regions of British India with some from Nepal and Afghanistan as well.
