CORRECTION: The 2017 Chevy Corvette has the LT1 engine, not the LS3.
I was actually expecting the 6.0 to be the loudest cause it only 2 cats and no muffler. I knew the 5.7 was the quietest obviously with having cats and still a muffler. Kinda suprised me the 6.2 is the loudest with having 4 cats lol but again I guess it’s a lot of motor!
I’ve always loved the C6 in general plus that LS2 sounds great.
LT1 not LS3. Started using LT1s in 2014.
I think the 6.0L sounded best at idle, and the 6.2L was the best combo of idling and revving. But that 5.7L is the toughest, cheapest to maintain, and most reliable.
Not really, the LS2 is the strongest and most reliable. The 5.7s really only had two issue with the valve springs breaking off and oil consumption, both were solved in the following LS2. The following LS3 made more power and had better head flow but reliability also dropped where they suffer from cracked cylinder sleeves and timing issues that were never a thing with LS engines.

It's funny. The new lt is way more efficient because direct injection but it still comes factory with secondary cats and a muffler

Wonder what the drone would be like in the c6. My dad has one and omg it's so quiet stock. A muffler delete would be a little too much for him....wonder what would be in the middle. Maggies, borla etc
Word on the corvette forum is that the magnaflows drone and so do the borlas, but not quite as much. Corsa is one way to go with zero drone and they still makes great noise when you get on it
