@@iandolmseth Hey guys, I am right there with you on that, all I can add to this, is to be happy with what you already have, and make time to enjoy it! (This is what I tell myself when the latest gear hits the market... lol). 👍🏼
It looks nice and seems to take those corners well for the ones at high speeds. I’m not that into short course RC’s, so it’s a pass for me. The only short course RC I would consider is the EXB Mojave, but Traxxas did a good job with this one.👍🏼
Looks like a great truck. I tend to agree with others saying Traxxas is behind here on 6s bashers. Seems like a cash grab at the price. Still might buy it tho 😄
Honestly seems to me like one of those vehicles that looks really cool in a vacuum, but when you actually look at the RC market there's really not much of a place for it. The "1/10th scale" (in quotes because they are NOT 1/10th scale proportionately, they just use 1/10th scale platforms as a basis) SCT scene is already super-entrenched. Then again, it seems like anything Traxxas makes that gets the "Slash" name slapped on it (even the mini-slash, which for all intents and purposes was actually more of a mini E-Slayer) sells like hotcakes, so who knows. Maybe it'll jumpstart a new "1/8th scale" SCT class and then every other US manufacturer will jump in with more racing-focused vehicles based on truggy platforms. Eh, probably not. It happened with the "1/10th scale" 4WD SCTs because it was still early during SCT-mania. And SCT-mania has long since passed at this point. I won't be buying one, mainly because I don't do -drugs- Traxxas, I'm not fond of the way they treat their dealers or their "why innovate when you can litigate" business practices. But honestly, if there was one car Traxxas made that _almost_ made me reconsider my stance, well... it's actually not this, it's their retro sprint car. But I admit this is one of the better "existing platform with a new body" releases they've made, even if it's for a class that literally only has one other vehicle and is effectively redundant.
Maybe Team Associated will sue Traxxas for side clipping body into nerf bars like my SC10B has. lol Like when Traxxas sued Arma over that front end shock thing, they didn't invent that in RC, Tamiya had that year before. I used to love Traxxas in late 90s, If traxxas could have made the old 2wd Stampede into 4x4 they would of had a real hit. There was a conversion kit for it, in little ads in Radio control car action. But it was almost the price of a new stampede. It had crazy clearance. Then the Emaxx was released and that was a beast with twin brushed 550s. Such a fun truck. To make it brushless back then was 2 times the cost of another Emaxx.. I couldn't afford it back then. I liked 18 packs of beer better. lol

Thank you very much Mark. Very nice video once again. This car is very awesome. Turning a Maxx into a Slash is a great idea. The car can certainly take a lot. But what bothers me. Why doesn't Traxxas install steel driveshafts? And why dont't they install a standard size servo with more power and faster response. And why dont't they put a fan on the motor? I expect these parts for such a high price. But am a Traxxas fan and i want this car. Traxxas knows we will still buy their expensive cars....😂

That truck might make me want another traxxas
Mark I have a huge set of killer bodies tires for this. 4x7x17mm $50 and they are yours. they are like new.
Idk I think I prefer the Mojave still. Even the 4s
Been awhile sense traxxas has made something I want! Looking forward to getting my hands on one soon!
I would like to buy 2 of these for me and my kid. The only thing holding me back is there a way to govern the speed on it. Ive got some of the team associated 1/28 that he’s really good with and I feel like ready to step up to to something bigger but not sure if he’s ready for something that fast
We need a Maxx Slayer !!! With either a Twinn 3.3 set up or a whole new motor.. go Gusto and make it a 1/5 and slap a Noah 34 esp In it
Which would be better for all out bashing… the xrt or Maxx slash??
Great video as always looks cool but still prefer the original slash just wish they just scaled it up rather than putting maxx parts on it my 2 favourite rc cars are the slash and rustler 4x4 prob still buy 1 though
That rock and roll livery is rad!
Love that you can hear the tires squealing lol
Oh wow! Not a Traxxas guy even a little bit but that looks awesome.
Haha! I knew you would have it first! Nice. I love my og widemaaxx!! Definitely need the vitavon spiral cut gear in the rear!
What is the stand you have it sitting on? Just getting into RC cars and that looks nice to have lol
That new snap on car!! Man I wish my grandpa was still a snap on dealer
Wow what a great new baja from traxxas but I love my MAXX V2. Do the different colors like the maxx come with different shock colors? I'm done for the green if it has the green shocks and wheel spacers. Good job on the review my man!
I like Sledge. Would it be a good choice for durability?
Now we need an Ultimate Stampede!!!! Come on, Traxxas!
I was just watching the Traxxas release video and it looks like the front arms have the same shock extension support like the rear. And yours only has them in the rear? Wonder if that why your ride hide was off in the front?
Love it wonder if you can turn this into a back slash
I was checking into that today about my 2wd slash. It's a kite. I wish I could put a little race buggy body on it. Point me in a direction please
Jeesh, I thought I wanted an xmaxx next… this looks like a lot more fun than I expected.
I think it’s gonna change a lot of minds after seeing it run
Darnit. Mine dont get here for a couple more days. I even ordered it in the same color cause I never had that color before! LOL
I like this truck a lot I am probably going to get one. It does look like it’s a tank and I can see it being a very durable basher
Traxxas guys are on a hole orther level 👍
My hobby shop has them for pre order I took pics and took the body shell off and everything it’s heavy but badass. After tax with no battery or charger $750 out the door including tax and etc
Thanks for the vid. Great review. Been so curious since seeing all the teasers.
Great vid! Really nice looking rig. I'm almost scared to know the price though!
HOT HOT HOT ... HOT!!! I WANT one!!! That could very well be the perfect all-arounder. Looks like it will fit in the frunk of my Model 3 ... I'm brining it everywhere!!
