Frankly I dunno why people are hating on this. No, it's not bombastic, but it sounds excellent. Has a deep, rumbling growl to the exhaust note, but isn't a whole lot louder than stock. Sounds great from the inside, and to me that's all that matters. I don't care if everyone on the sidewalk knows my car sounds great, I just want it to sound great to me in the driver's seat. Especially important for a car like a C300 that's supposed to be pleasant on long trips and luxurious. IMO, using mods to compromise what a car was built to do is pointless. This is a comfy daily driver, and now it's a comfy daily driver with an authoritative but quiet exhaust note. If you want a bombastic exhaust note, you're better off ripping the exhaust off a Focus ST, a WRX, or an AMG model. I don't mean that derisively either; loud exhaust suits the character of those models. It wouldn't suit a C300.
The turbo doesn't take away a lot of the sound. The big thing that muffles the sound is the catalytic converter in most cases on those 4 cylinders unless the turbo is so small hardly any exhaust gasses are coming through the turbo then yes that would be restricting a lot of noise but Mercedes doesn't usually use that small of turbos because that would damage the engines
Lesson learnt along time ago personally. It's all about the removal of the Cat in a turbo european car. My BMW 335i has a AutoWerke 3" system and its too quiet for me. I put a catless downpipe on it, had the check engine lights modified to stay off, and it makes a MASSIVE difference to sound and performance too. Quiet incredible the increase in power it delivered being catless. Yeah its illegal but whatever.
I took of my mufflers and put flowmaster fx in its place. Sounded ok but was way too quiet. So I removed both resonators. The drone/resonance was so bad that I put a vibrant ultra quiet in. Sounded so much better but I hated the exterior noise. I recommend leaving the factory mufflers and messing around with resonators instead. The factory mufflers do a great job with keeping the sound fit for a mercedes but also allows for deep rumble and small sound from that 2.0T. Get a tune or get a performance model if you want that good sound.
Thanks for your description man. I also have a 2019 and was wondering I want to make it louder and for it to sound good too. Mine is also a 2 meter turbo 4 cylinder. What did you do it make it sound the best at the end?
needs straight pipe and 2 race bullet / dyno max mufflers in the back that would sound like a v6 . i have that set up and sound awesome not overly loud and not like 4 cyc
@@Jay-hp6pu It's not that non-V8s need to be left alone, it's that people need to stop treating other engines as if they're V8s. Every engine layout has a different sound profile. What makes one engine sound good makes another sound like shit on a stick and vice versa.
I like it I think it’s right in the sweet spot. It’s a Benz C300 it’s not supposed to sound like a race car. If you want something that is loud and sounds good buy a Camaro or something. Don’t buy a Benz and straight pipe it, ruins the whole experience of owning one.
I've watched a couple of videos from you guys and I can't really distinguish between cars passing by the shop and the one you're working on. I mean I can but just not enough to go oh that sounds different or that sounds better I'm just like I think I heard it.
Correct. They’re engineered for different frequencies. Which sort of note do you want? Lower growl or higher Japanese style note? That’ll determine which resonator to take off and rear boxes can go altogether

This why I be addicted to Xbox learning from
Car guys like you 😂
C300 before : 😶
C300 after (resonator and one muffler delete )
Bruh , Am I joke to you ? 🤦🏽
Right lol....*(2muff delete then 1 res. & 2muff delete) all four shoulda come out imo ...but I dont make that note so...🤷🏾
Cut that last one off 😁
delete both ress and put mufflers back on you’ll get back the sound and no drone

Hay! I'd really appreciate a reply! Thanks
So you eliminated the resonators and left the silencers?
I have the same exact car, do you think just the muffler delete would be fine without any noise complaints? And around how much does it cost?
Just the muffler delete makes it sound better but you wont get complaints. Anywhere from $120-200 depending the shop
I’m weak “ nahhh we don’t like Mercedes” 😭🤣
needs straight pipe and 2 race bullet / dyno max mufflers in the back that would sound like a v6 . i have that set up and sound awesome not overly loud and not like 4 cyc
do you have any videos of what it sounds like?
Yes bro. Can you show us a video please
You don’t like Mercedes until you own one 😁! Great video bro!
C300 is also a 4 cylinder unless its an AMG. I knew turbos quieted the sound but definitely wasn't expecting that. Maybe a Borla would help?
Right
I asked borla, sadly they don’t make exhaust systems for c300 w205
Go for Armytrix, if u want the loudest setup for 4 cylinder turbo euro engines.
Expensive af for a c300
Dude drives it in comfort mode 😂
🤣🤣🤣 He may have needed a Flowmaster product
Take off the muffler and primary resonator and they sound good asf ngl
The cats what’s robbing it of sound. Weistec has a cat less downpipe for about $440usd.
Did he come back?
Reminds me of the accord 2.0T. You can’t hear it unless all the mufflers and resonators are deleted and it still barley hits 100DB.
Painful to watch this one.. but to be fair it’s not a V8
People need to just leave their cars alone if they’re not v8’s.

It needed Open Headers!!! 😂🤙
I like your idea.
You should try to get some diesel trucks in your shop
Won’t fit on those lifts
Had some on there before idk what that guy is talking bout they’ve even gotten duallys before lol
You have to put it in sport mode
Dosnt change the exhaust in those cars
@@cadenabel6614lol It does, the turbo pops too if you put that thing on sport

If you cut the other res off too it sounds mean
Both resonators are different, remove the first one, leave the second ine installed, and delete mufflers
Do you have any videos showing us how this sounds?
Correct. They’re engineered for different frequencies.
Which sort of note do you want? Lower growl or higher Japanese style note?
That’ll determine which resonator to take off and rear boxes can go altogether
They need to chop off the second resonator and install a FlowFX.
How much for that?
Should of deleted the first resonators and lest the second totally different sound
😂😂🤣😂 poor guy “not bad”
Him: Was it good for you?
Her: Not bad.
Him: 😞
Put on a X-pipe. I have a C300 as well. (A true motorsport inthusiest since 1984.)
Kindly tell me more about the mods you did on ya c300 to sound better?
It's a 4 cylinder, that's impossible lol.
Need to get rid of the other resonator
Sounds alright!! 😅😅🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿
I just took off both resonators on my c300 and it’s way louder than this the mufflers are useless to take off all they do is void warranty
did it really void your warranty?
No at any mercedesbenz I’ve been to they don’t
The muffler delete alone was all i needed on mine and on sport mode it sounded nice. No pops tho
Remove the 2nd resonator and a cat delete..
Another 2l Shitbox. First I thought yeah C300 6 Cylinder. But no, it's a 4 Cylinder...
If this was a v6 it would eat the road and sound like a freaking v8
But i4 s are trash and i have an audi a6 2.0 t its killing me
@@sy7692 not really, the German V6 don't sound like the American V6. But they sound definitely better than I4.
That looks like a 2018 from the front bumper..
It’s not, I have a 2018 and the gauge cluster is different
So they bought a 2019 preface lift 😢 I have two facelifted 300s
And it doesn’t have any sound to it at all. I have the same set up and I get small burbles when I rev and downshift
@@TheWhiteMerc_what year is your c300 car that burbles? My 2019 c300 doesn't burble at all
This is the pre facelift version most likely 2018
ARMYTRYX exhaust systems are and easier good sounding solution
Needs flowFX
That’s a 2018 not 2019
Itza Mercedes itz quiet i fart 💨 louder good lookin 🚗
no diesles
Sounds the same as before. There's no diference with the sound at all. What a disapointment 🤦♂️
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Just get a V8 🤷🏿♂️
LMMFAO
👎👎👎
Sorry, sounds like trash.

Can't hear jack, tbh.
