Palkai deserves more attention. I mean it needs more character development like Dialga&Giratina both got. It has an amazing design, abilities and such. I love CT.

When it's frozen, unlike most other compounds, it expands and yet, like most matter it expands when heated into a gas too. Space itself is ever expanding too, regardless of a galaxy's temperatures. If Palkia were Ice type, it'd be representing space with a type that has very little kinetic energy. If it were Flying type, that wouldn't necessarily be water vapor. It could be any gaseous compound. Fire is just a chemical reaction of Oxygen. Electric is just energy moving from point A to point B. Grass needs space to already exist before it can live. Bug too. Psychic is more mental than physical. Ground, Steel, and Rock are common matter and like mentioned above, don't have weird state change properties. Ghost, and later Fairy, are more supernatural than space. Dark tends to represent night or mental things like fear or aggression or misunderstanding, so it's not wholly spacial. Ect. if I forgot a type.
