- A look at some of the books which I think are my favourite from 2023, They aren't all books only printed in 2023, but some older books which are new to me during this period, or they continue to be a favourite from past years. I have a lot of books, and over time my tastes change, but current I find myself drawn to this selection.
Do you have a Favourite I haven't mentioned? Do you have a favourite I haven't got? ( not that I need any encouragement to get more books!😂)

Thanks so much, such a lovely thing to say, Colouring pages do just call to me, I can see how I want them to look, and that's what interests me about this hobby, how can I get these to look like my imagined picture? I do certainly prefer, bright colourful cheerful images, I struggle to work on gothic, sad or spooky images really. I know its not everyone's thing, but it makes me happy, x ❤️👍

Hello!!! I love all your choices! I wanted to let you know that in the back of the Japanese books there are QR codes. If you scan it, it will take you to their website. Create an account and then answer the questions which have to be translated ( I used google) and you will get the entire book as a PDF for free

Lovely choices Wendy , so sorry you’ve been so poorly ❤. The new Makiko Inatome wreaths book is probably the sweetest, cutest book I’ve ever seen , there’s literally only 3 pages in it I don’t want to colour . The Japanese books take some beating I think . I’ve also enjoyed Small Victories for zero pressure easy colouring . I love your R.J.Hampson pages the colours are always beautiful 🌟, much love for 2024 x
Yes, That pretty wreath book, is on my list, it is cute, I watched a few flips. Sadly I've got to pay for Christmas and my car insurance, so it will have to wait for now. Ive found I don't really colour much Joanna, so I've resisted getting this new one, although I think the idea of a smaller one is good. Rj is always an auto buy, I can't help myself!😂, Hope you are having a great New Year, x

I don't think it's available in the Uk in an English version yet. I got mine from I Music in Sweden, I would recommend them, they package really well. It's just a bit dearer than Amazon. x
I can't stand kalour on thinner Amazon paper. Does holbein work well on Amazon paper?
Yes I use my Holbein a lot on amazon paper, It just feels a bit wasteful to use such expensive pencils on Amazon paper, but well I enjoy them so I do what I enjoy. I used my Kalour's on RJ Hampsons books, and I don't mind them on that, but the very cheap stuff I don't think much feels nice on it. Ive started re printing on better paper, as I'm just not enjoying the experience. 👍❤️
What do u use for backgrounds? They're all so shiny.
A lot of my backgrounds are metallic watercolours, I like Reneeissance colours watercolours from etsy, as her paints give a lovely shine. 👍❤️

Can you tell me the colors you used in the new h Karlzon book with her holding the Dan in front of her face? Those water colors are stunning…can you possibly provide a link for them?
I generally use Caren D'ache Luminance in Hanna's Book, I like the feel of them on her paper. The water colours will be Renee's from Reneeissance Watercolours on Etsy. I think it was the Chrome set that I did this page with. They aren't cheap but she makes the best metallic paints in my view. I don't use them in big areas, as I can't bare using so much up, but they always create a lovely effect.
