- A look at the poor sad lonely books that I haven't shown any love to during last year, but I'd like to work in this year. If I can get to the end of the year and I've completed a page in each of these I'll be delighted.

I found a site for used coloring books and I ordered duplicates of a few of my books that I don’t want to ruin, but now I have so many books I’m almost overwhelmed to inaction. You will be my inspiration.💪
Oh goodness! No pressure!🤪😜 I’ll try, I’ve worked in a few of these books this year, but there are still a few I’ve not tackled yet, hopefully I’ll get each one of them started!🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼❤️
Perhaps if you copy the pages to practice on, you will be less intimidated.
I have thought about it, but I do like my pages in the book if possible. There are a few I might do this with, it’s so silly isn’t it!🙈👍🏻❤️
Such lovely books Wendy , I’ve been not letting myself buy that Journey to Wonderland because I have so many beautiful barely coloured books 🙈 , my intention this year is to only buy books that really make me go “wow” . I’m the same about the mythographic books , I would like one, but when I watch flip throughs I’m just not sure and I think they’re just not me . I love your monthly completed pages but I guess if you wanted to commit to some more complex /serious pages you could do quarterly 🤷♀️, it’s tricky ….. I’m a super slow colourist, probably 2 / 3 pages a month . Much love ❤️☀️
Yes I know what you mean, Im more careful about my purchases now, I haven't got the new Joanna one for that reason, I just don't often colour her stuff.I really tried to order much less Amazon books as well, as I will never get them coloured. I will keep doing monthly colouring I think, I like the deadline of it, but Im thinking I might have a carry over book each month. Something that's a bit more a complicated page, just so it takes of the pressure of 'Having to get that finished'. We'll see, I struggle to leave wips, so can I allow myself to do it!😂😁 Thanks so much , x ❤️💗
Those myth books are not me either. So detailed and gorgeous, but not me.
The Asian books are another level of professionalism and cuteness.
They are beautiful books, I think they make some of the best books out there.👍🏻

Have you tried copying an image and working on the copy for practice?
Hi, Yes, I have been doing that a little this year, Mainly in more rubbish papered books, but I could do it with some of these. I have managed to work in some of these this year, A few still waiting though!🙈 Thanks for trying to help, 👍

I have the same issue with The Flower Year. It's the most beautiful colouring book I have (and have ever seen), but I find it daunting and intimidating because of the miniscule details 😭 Only coloured in it once in four years. It should have been printed much bigger, yep
Yes I've just got the larger new print version of this, so I've no excuses now. I'll still keep the other one, as it's so pretty but hope to colour the larger one. x

Hi Wendy. Omgosh I love how you feel about not depriving yourself of some new color books. I told myself I have way to many books no more books period but that just depressed me so I just cut back some. I try not to have WIPS either but the one you have is beautiful what you have done of it. I get overwhelmed if the page has so much detail.

I'm glad someone gets me, x 👍 I'll never do a no buy, I love it too much, 😂 but I am more careful about what I buy now, I don't buy much Amazon paper stuff ( Apart from RJ Hampson) There aren't many books on my shelves that I regret, but some illustrators I know I don't need any more of their work, as it's not a favourite. Its a hobby, we have to have some fun, xx👍❤️

Strange I was sure that I had commented. (?) Anyway I have a few of these. Love Chiaki Ida's (was thinking of getting a second copy of Dream rooms ) The Mysterious Library is another favourite(oh now I remember, I put a link, sorry!) I wish so many of the older books would be re printed as I'd love another copy of it. Anastasia's books are amazing but I am not in love with the paper. thanks for sharing!! 😍
Oh dear, its probably You Tube sorry, Ive had a look in my spam file, and its not there sadly, x Yes agreed on the reprinting, some the older paper isn't great, so a reprint would be good. ( I suppose they want a profit thought don't they) Yes they paper in Anastasia's books does feel a little odd, not tried to colour it yet, I'm hoping it will be ok for pencils, I've heard many moan it doesn't like water, so I will avoid that I think. ( If I ever colour them!😂) ❤️👍

Hiya, She's a French Artist, I bought them direct from her website. They aren't the cheapest, but they quality is lovely. Ive just had a look and she's selling Pdf's as well now, which is a bit cheaper. My goal this year is to try to color in most of my books at least once this year! I have quite a few books that have not been colored in and I am trying to not buy as much! Still buy of course but not a lot! I love your coloring books and your coloring is beautiful!❤The Queens of Poland coloring book is absolutely beautiful!😍My husband says the same thing about my bookshelves😂 I have Mysterious Planets as well its a really nice book and I haven't colored in mine as well! Thank you for sharing I enjoyed this video!
It's good to know it's not just me in Husband trouble!😂 I know I won't get all my uncoloured ones done this year, I have a set of books that I think I've decided are just here to be admired not coloured, but I'm ok with that. As long as I get most worked in, I'm happy. I'm hoping I might get most of these ones in the video started, 🤞🤞❤️

I would suggest you look at Mythographic “Aviary” if you want something a little less busy. It is a gorgeous book

Where can I buy anastasia elly koldareva coloring books the exact ones you have because I can not get them at a reasonable price as I live in the U.K. Its my 40th birthday on the 24th feb and my mum keeps asking me what I want and I would love these books. Is it possible you could put me in touch with the lady you got yours from, or anywhere I can get them. Beautiful coloring by the way and the skin is perfect in the picture from serene.
Hiya, because she is a Russian Artist these aren't easy to get at the moment. I bought mine second hand from a lady that was selling her collection, so it was sadly a one off purchase.

Let me know if buddy colours motivate you or stress you out. I have most of those , with a few exceptions. And most of mine are sitting neglected as well. No time pressure just someone to shoulder you through. 😺 I am a slow colourist as well.

The Japanese books are all from Amazon Japan, they are easily found. The Korean books are all from Cool Craft Books on Etsy.
The Journey to Wonderland book is probably my most fav book but I have only done one page so far .I love every page in it . Some beauties there !

Hmm, tricky, Sadly a lot of my Korean books I did get from Book depository before it closed, it's much more difficult ( and expensive) to get them now. Now I tend to use Cool craft books on Etsy, or 70east Books. ( They have their own website now) The Japanese ones are always from Amazon Japan, x Hths, x

Great books. I love the one that's similar to Eiry, I've not seen it before.
I also have a pile of books not started yet, so I'll be trying to do a page in as many as I can this year. Think I worked in 8 untouched books last year.
I have 3 mythographic books and not coloured in them for the same reason as you, but I just love the pictures in them.
Oh the Chiaki Ida book, yes it's lovely there are two books and a postcard book, I'd recommend them all, they are a bit more serious than Eriy, but lovely all the same. I think I got them from Amazon Japan. Hmm the Mythographic are annoying aren't they, I enjoy looking at them, but never feel the need to colour them. I still think I perhaps shouldn't have got them. They are so clever and interesting, but I struggle to see what to do with them. I might try the fairy one first and see. 🤞🤞❤️
@@wendyscolouring I really want the mythographic book deep blue I think it's called (either that or I imagined that). Colouring with k did a flip through last year and I fell I love with it. I love any marine colouring books, even though I'm rubbish at colouring water 😂😂.
At the moment I am struggling to colour. This is my 13th day of not colouring. For some reason everytime I get a book and supplies out to start a page my anxiety kicks in and tells me I'm going to ruin it and then I can't colour. It's really upsetting me as I've had new books arrive this week but I'm just too scared.
@@gagaforgluing8247 Ohh nooo, sorry to hear this, perhaps try something really small rather than a full page, and see if you can work through the feeling. Have you got that small wins book by Johanna? Perhaps that would be good in this situation. That's rubbish though, my colouring is my de-stress and relax I do really miss it if I can't find the time to work on something. Ive not seen the Deep blue book, I'll have to have a nosey, x Hope you back at the colouring soon, xx ❤
@@wendyscolouring yeah it's normally my de-stress thing too, i started colouring originally to stop my seizures. But I have a lot more stress at the moment because my mum nearly died just before Christmas and so I've had to become her carer.
Yes I have the small Victories book, but I think I need some harder pencils for it because I can't keep a sharp point with my soft pencils. I had a printer/copier/scanner for Christmas so Lucy just adds colour recommend that I photocopy a page so if I mess up it's ok.
@@gagaforgluing8247 Oh dear Trudy, so sorry, I hope your mum starts to improve, that sounds really hard. 💗 Photocopying sounds like a great idea, anything to get you started. Im sure you will be good once you get started, it's often the thought of something that's harder than actually doing it. ( Easy said I know) Its probably much more about your stress related to your mum, than the colouring, Sending you positive thoughts and wishes, xx💗❤
