Thanks so much for your hard work on the game! I really look forward to when the game releases, I hope the development goes smoothly to the finish line :)
Hello Reformist, it's been years and years that i've enjoyed your let's play and content !! Thank for letting me know about this game !! It seems like a very good timing to try it, a bit of refreshing take on the GTA like
What did I miss? Specialized Divisions (Side Progression Opportunities) Throughout this rank progression, players could also branch out into specialized roles, which add unique gameplay experiences without altering mainline rank progression: SWAT Officer - High-risk tactical scenarios. Cyber Crime Specialist - Digital investigations and hacking. K9 Unit - Handling a police dog in drug detection, search-and-rescue, and suspect apprehension. Forensics - Crime scene analysis, DNA testing, and evidence processing. Internal Affairs - Investigating police misconduct within the force. Each rank would bring new challenges, mechanics, and insights into different aspects of law enforcement, providing a complete and evolving gameplay experience as the player progresses.
Imo watching a video doesn't do it justice. Was about to ignore it but then played it on a whim and boy was it surprisingly good. It's really immersive.
Promotion upward would be a great feature: 1. Rookie Officer (Entry-Level) Role: Fresh recruit, learning the basics of law enforcement. Players might perform simple tasks like traffic control, writing tickets, or handling minor disturbances. Skills: Basic driving, report writing, arresting suspects, low-level combat. Objectives: Complete training missions, handle non-violent crimes (vandalism, theft), and patrol neighbourhoods. 2. Officer/Patrol Officer Role: Now on regular duty, patrolling neighbourhoods, responding to 911 calls, dealing with robberies, assaults, or domestic disputes. Skills: Improved driving, marksmanship, and investigative abilities. Objectives: Respond to a variety of calls, engage in vehicle pursuits, and learn proper procedures for investigating crime scenes. Unlocks: Specialized training such as first aid, and defensive tactics. 3. Detective (Promotion Path: Investigative) Role: Specializing in investigations, detectives handle more complex and longer-term cases, like homicides, drug trafficking, or organized crime. Skills: Advanced interrogation, crime scene analysis, undercover work. Objectives: Investigate major crimes, solve cases, build profiles on criminal organizations, and collaborate with other law enforcement units. Unlocks: Access to higher-level cases, informants, and more sophisticated criminal networks. 4. Sergeant (Promotion Path: Supervisor) Role: Supervise a team of patrol officers, ensure proper procedure is followed, and coordinate response to larger incidents (riots, protests). Skills: Leadership, team management, decision-making under pressure. Objectives: Lead teams during large operations, manage resources, train new recruits, and ensure team safety and effectiveness. Unlocks: Ability to control larger squads, use specialized equipment, and assign missions to team members. 5. Lieutenant Role: Higher-level supervisor responsible for overseeing entire precinct operations or specialized units (SWAT, K-9, Cybercrime). Skills: Strategic planning, personnel management, media relations. Objectives: Coordinate multi-agency operations, handle high-profile investigations, and negotiate with hostile suspects (e.g., hostage situations). Unlocks: Special units like SWAT, bomb squads, and the ability to call in support from federal agencies. 6. Captain Role: Command a police precinct or specialized unit. Captains manage the overall strategy for their department and are responsible for administrative tasks, community outreach, and high-stakes situations. Skills: Advanced leadership, resource allocation, political acumen. Objectives: Oversee precinct operations, balance budget, negotiate city politics, and make decisions in high-pressure, large-scale events (natural disasters, terror attacks). Unlocks: Access to city-wide or district-wide responsibilities, and advanced crime-fighting tools. 7. Chief of Police Role: The top executive in the police department. Oversees the entire force, sets policy, and works with city officials on public safety strategies. Skills: Executive-level decision-making, public relations, crisis management. Objectives: Handle city-wide crises, implement reforms, deal with political pressures, and manage relationships with the community and government officials. Unlocks: The entire city as a playable environment, control over major policy decisions, and advanced strategies for combating crime waves or gang wars. 8. Specialized Units/Branches (Optional Progression) Throughout the ranks, players could choose to branch into specialized units for extra depth: SWAT: Tactical combat, hostage rescue, riot control. K-9 Unit: Search and rescue, drug/bomb detection, criminal pursuit with dogs. Cybercrime: Hacking, digital forensics, tracking online criminals. Internal Affairs: Investigate corruption within the police force itself. FBI Liaison: Work on federal cases with higher stakes, national threats, or terrorism. 9. Elite Federal Ranks (Expansion/Endgame) After becoming Chief, players could be recruited into federal agencies for high-level missions, unlocking global-scale missions and influence: FBI Director: National law enforcement oversight, coordinating multi-state operations. CIA Liaison: International intelligence and covert operations. Homeland Security Executive: Address major national threats like terrorism, cybersecurity threats, and natural disaster coordination. Progression Features: Skill Trees: Each rank could unlock new skills (e.g., leadership, investigation, tactics). Branching Paths: Players can choose between investigative or supervisory paths or join special units after a certain point. Dynamic Missions: As you rise in ranks, missions get more complex, with branching outcomes and consequences depending on choices and performance. Morality & Ethics: Incorporating choices between following strict protocol or bending the rules for the greater good adds replayability and moral complexity. This system would give the player a sense of real progression from a street-level cop to high-stakes leadership, offering new challenges, opportunities for specialization, and evolving gameplay. NOT JUST A BLOODY ROOK
Thanks for playing, Reformist! Appreciate you taking a look!

lmao, looks absolutely awesome! I hope they keep the cheesy B-movie voice acting. Stuff of legends!
Definitely , it really does feel like a cop show from the 80s
We certainly will! Glad you 'get' it!
There aren't enough cop games out there. Loved LA Noire

This looks so good, wishlisted!
Also it says release in Q4 2024, that doesn’t feel like pre-alpha to me😂
Awesome, hopefully they lean into RPG mechanics. For sure checking this one out.
This looks really interesting
Looks really good. Will get demo.
Wow I was expecting an asset flip simulator game not an actual game
Fun fact: GTA was originally going to have the player as the police, but they changed their minds. I forget the reason why though.
From what I heard it was going to be a cops and robbers type game but everyone kept picking the criminals so they got rid of the police option
Bro Rodney King’d him 😂
Looks like it will be good!
game looks great wow
I love this ❤
