Excellent breakdown on lever rifle cleaning! I love the cable system for quick bore cleaning without removing the bolt. I do have a quick takedown screw for the lever though to make disassembly much easier. The Henery all-weather lever rifle is one sweet rifle...love your taste there!
Great how to video!!!🙂👍The "tape trick" is a good idea to help prevent scratches. It seems like one of those "Why didn't I think of that???" kind of tips.🤔🤣
Nancy, this is great - to the point, thoroughly explained and the video quality was very good. I just got my first lever and am about to clean out the factory grease and this video was very helpful. Never even though about tape on the screwdriver - no wonder my guns are all scratched up otherwise. Glad to know my new Henry will not be subject to this. Thanks again. PS - I love that all weather model...really sharp.
Asked about this one on your Facebook page a few times and was looking forward to it… Hoped it would have been demonstrated on a Winchester model 94, but hey, they’re all pretty much the same. Either way…. Thank you!!
I have this exact rifle and exact cleaning kit. I’ve been following said steps for over an hour…I fired maybe 25 total rounds today at the range (Garrett 540 grain +p, Remington 405 grain core lokt, underwood 420 grain +p, Hornady 325 grain FTX). I switched to Hoppe’s #9 because I kept pulling out carbon like nobody’s business. I even used two, sometimes 3 patches at once just to have more pressure in the bore to pull out carbon. Not satisfied at all.
If you adjust the pinch position on the patch it will make the patch knot smaller or larger to accomodate the bore diamerter. You shouldn't have to add patches; most likelky you may have been using the smaller size slotted tip intended for for smaller calibers.
Your video is the best gun cleaning video I have ever seen. Very much what every lever action person needs to know in cleaning their gun. ThNK YOU.
Using tape on the screwdriver is a great tip! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Ty was helpful never cleaned a lever action before until now.

Well done 👍
Do you oil the parts, and if so, what type of oil are good to use?
Same question
... why does everybody call the EJECTOR the EXTRACTOR??? ... the extractor is on the end of the bolt
But you dont want to pull out to quick 😊
That's not an extractor, it's an ejector.
What, no oil?
That's NOT an "extractor," it's an EJECTOR.
