Grab a rangerpoint precision toolless thumb screw for that lever flat head screw, and you can field strip that far in the field on a hunt or whatever. Don't lose that ejector on the ground though 😉
Thanks for the video. This has happened to me with my All Weather .357 twice. The first time I screwed around and forced the stuck round out. I'm lucky I didn't break anything or set the round off. It was totally mangled by the time I got it out. This method was WAY easier. LoL. Both times this happened it was when I unloaded by taking the tube out and dumping the rounds out of the magazine. That leaves only two rounds in the gun. One in the chamber and one left in the mag. The one comes out of the chamber just fine but for some reason the one in the magazine fails to feed properly and becomes hopelessly lodged halfway up. Thanks again.
The cause of jams is due to loose screw by where the lever is located. Keep the screw tight and youll be fine. Another reason for jams would be a faulty magazine tube.
I did this exact thing before I even fired it. Mushroomed the crap out of a .38 round trying to pound it out before I thought to take the lever and bolt out.
I have shot hundreds of rounds of this type of ammunition without issues. The research I’ve done suggests this happens if you do not fully open the lever before closing it when reloading. Just a freak thing that happens.
The cause is the nature of the cartridge. Flat nose with a rimmed straight case, originally designed to be used in a revolver but has hiccups in a repeating rifle. Henry is not the only manufacturer that has issues with 357 in rifles.
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to share. Now going to Rangerpoint for the thumb screw to allow field repair.
Going to be an upgrade for me as well, definitely seems worth the price
Good video on a quick tear down to remove a jam. Henry rifles are fairly easy to work on thankfully. Love my custom All-weather 44 mag.
Thanks Christian! I’m hoping to have more and more content coming in this new year!
@@LB-Outdoors looking forward to it!

Great video. Thanks for sharing the info. The jam was totally my fault. I didn’t fully engage the lever when reloading
Still waiting for mine, but now im ready for the first stuck bullet already Thanks

Fantastic work and video
Thank u 🙏
You’re a life saver, exactly what I was looking for!
My lever is wiggly now, what did I do wrong/ how do I fix it?any clue?

I was thinking of getting one of these rifles, not gonna now, that hickup could leave you in a world of hurt in a tight spot.
It’s not necessarily the manufacturers fault. Most if not all lever actions chambered in .357 can have this issue at some point.
Now that I’ve never heard about 357 levers. Interesting and thanks for the heads up.
It’s an Ejector! It kicks the empty case from the action! Henry copied Marlins design 👹
If I had a nickel for every UA-cam video where someone calls that part the "Extractor".
And you just captured another subscriber
Thank you sir
Thanks
I put a trigger shoe on my lever action rifles!
Wrong bullet type for lever action?

You cleared the jam but didn’t identify a cause or fix.
