i think that beth felt replaced when Viv arrived but this situation helped her to improve and become a better version of herself as a player! and the interview was so cute🤍
@@SaraSarah can you do a wobbs analysis of the new behind the scenes vid on the arsenal chAnnel? Body language looks like a definite split. Esp final photo.
I feel like post covid Viv has been struggling she just seemed exhausted. I think she might be struggling with long covid. So sad because we were all hoping to see her at her best😢
Vivianne is an absolute class act both on and off the pitch. Her work with common goal, the less fortunate children, gender equality is commendable. While on the field, her goal scoring exploits are second to none.
I listened to the whole interview with Beth Mead on The Athletic Women's Podcast (thanks for pointing to it on your last video), which is very worthwhile listening to. The video clip you showed in this video and the podcast interview really shows how self-confident Beth is in opening up about the relationship. She knows that representation matters and is showing just that to normalize it more in women's football. Hopefully it will also encourage some male colleagues to come out and start normalizing non-hetero-normativity also in the men's game. I don't think that you should blame Mark Parsons for letting Viv play against France. Obviously also Jonas Eidevall thought that Viv was fit enough to also play for Arsenal. We shouldn't make assumptions if it's because of long CoVid or mental health issues. It's definitely awesome that Viv felt that she had to take a break and both Arsenal as well as the Dutch national team are supportive of it. I hope that Viv will get better soon and be able to return to her old shape too.
I am looking forward to Beth's book. Will definitely read it. I love Beth. She is always so honest and straightforward. Recently she spoke about the men's world cup and said she can't endorse it with the countries views on certain topics. Bravo Beth...
That would have been like if Sam Kerr had ended up dating Ramona Bachmann. I know she may not have been a fan of hers when she got there, but as far as them being together, it actually seems almost logical. They're adorable together. Absolutely adorable.
In hindsight I think that Viv joining which moved Beth to the wing was the best thing to happen. Beth in my opinion is The best winger/ player in the world at the moment. Moving to that position got her a Euro, Golden boot, Englands best player and dare I say it in my opinion the Ballon d’or. I feel that Vivs best spot is up front and her results show that. Viv however requested a change as she wanted to be more on the ball. This new role requires a lot more running and a higher fitness level. Given Viv got Covid I don’t think that physically she has been able to show her best in the new position even tho her passing has been superb and she is still scoring a few goals. Viv admitted or Lisa commented that Vivs not the best at practice “in fact a little lazy”. Given she is not getting game time I would say her fitness levels have been effected. Arsenal has such depth that other players have been able to step in and take her spot and do really well. Their at the top of the WSL and killing it in Champions League. It would be really hard for Viv to be on the sidelines😅 Covid can really kick you in the butt. I myself have experienced it. After heart lung testing I now better understand my limitations or ways to improve and manage the damage. Yoga and breathing exercises have offered amazing results both physically and mentally. I’m not a professional athlete so it must be really scary. I hope that in vivs case it’s just a temporary thing. I would think that with Arsenals deep pockets and medical network they will offer Viv the best options Fran Kirby has a serious heart condition. If you haven’t seen Frans story on youtube you should watch it as it’s truly inspiring. She manages her condition at the top level with both Chelsea and England. Having Emma and Serina in her corner is key. Sometimes Fran can play and other times she needs to rest. Credit to Emma and Serina for playing such a positive role and standing by Fran. Coaching at its best. Either way I know Viv will overcome any challenge and rise to the top. If not at Arsenal or playing football. Viv has been studying whilst playing and I think she has almost finished her degree. More important for Viv to be happy and healthy. She has already achieved so much so I hope she can get strength from that when working thu and setting her future goals As hard as it must be with Viv having issues at the moment it is Important that Beth takes advantage of being at the peak of her career. It’s her time to shine now especially with the World Cup next year. Hopefully from a relationship perspective they can get thru the bumps in the road as it will make their relationship stronger in the long term❤ ❤ to both of them
That is a really good video about two great footballers who are honest, down to earth people. What has happened to them both in the last couple of weeks is absolutely heart breaking. I really wish them all the best in recovering from this horrible injury. I know it will be a long road to get back to full fitness, but they are both great athletes and certainly young enough to come through this. The women's game has been devastating for high profile injuries just lately. I do wonder if it is a knock on effect from all the disruption of the pandemic. Tournaments being played way later than originally planned seems to have thrown things out of sync. With the World Cup on the horizon, the workload is just going to increase. I know that every player wants to play in every game, but they really have to be sensible and realistic, and take a necessary enforced break for the sake of their long term health, both physical and mental.
I hope to be able to buy beth's book because it looks really intresting but I don't know if it'll be available in my country, but I hope it so! I need it
Tbh, as a long time WoSo fan and follower I had a feeling that was the case for the obvious reasons you mentioned among others, which is why I was so surprised when Arsenal put the tweet out about "Meadema", essentially outing their relationship (and hopefully that happened with #Meadema 's permission), as were many others I'm sure. :-D Nice to see that their sense of competition has gotten them to knowing each other more and eventually falling in love. Enemies to lovers trope, but irl.
My opinion only: I think Viv got weak after her breakup with Lisa Evans. They have the best chemistry ever and for six years, they were a happy couple. I missed Lisa/Viv love story❤️❤️❤️
aww thanks John! I normally get a lot of info from Twitter and tumbr! haha. Thank you and I will 100% let you know if/when we need a helping hand! we appreciate that so much! thank you!!
Her comment regarding diversity is unacceptable. Racism still exist and FA need to push more BAME community woman into playing football. She is the darling of woman football and will be protected by the general public. Let kick racism out of football and society.
I agree, Viv and Beth - there's nothing there chemistry wise. Daan and Beth are just filling temporary voids with similar partners. Daan is now with a cute blonde (Ellie) and Beth with another dutchie (Viv) No doubt if Daan moves back to an english club or Beth moves to a french club, they'll end up back together. Watch this space.

Yeah this makes sense. A lot of mental stress as well. Glad it worked out!! but it sounds very stressful!

A moment of silence for the guy that actually read all that 💀

No one knows an athlete's body like the athlete themselves. I am sure she will come back better and stronger for club and country.

C'mon Viv and Beth again...Holy Cannoli!I love it....

LOL you heard it! HAHA Sarah just had to get a joke in! haha we weren't sure how many people would catch it!
Is this interview availiable to watch anywhere?

My grandmother was English and I am Amercan, so she taught me how to pronounce English words correctly. No big deal. Still love your vlog...

Great stuff and observations as usual. How much time do you have to spend on your research and let us know how we can help. Thanks Sara and Sarah

If it makes you feel any better, I used to pronounce it “Lay-chester” 😂 You were way closer than I was with “Lyster”
its a tricky word For sure!!!
Beth is a guest to nobody. Awesome she and Beth can take humor in that situation...

isn't it LYE-sester??!? 😂😂😂 You two are too funny
Talk soccer not Gossip. That’s is the different with man and women. Gossip a lot. It make WSL look bad.
I feel it’s a mismatch and Beth still look a DV a certain way just saying
