Any idea on how to configure the dual shock touch pad on dolphin emulator?
I'd like to play Super Paper Mario on Dolphin, but if I have a mouse as a pointer, a Pixl called Tippi comes out and you can't move during that. If I was to move th mouse to outside of the window would that fix it.
In the video u say u move the controller, but then u also soay that when u map the buttons u move the stick, so which is it? Are u using motion controls on the ps4 controller, or are u just mappinng the swing to an analog stick

For the RUMBLE one it all you have to do is go to Motor then press Motor L Press Select Then Press TEST 'if you want to test it' and then press OK

When ever i try to map the buttons in dolphin, it doesn't pick up any of my buttons. The touch pad works as mouse tho

it always disconnects immediately when i do anything with it... any explanation as to why? config works perfectly, but when i play a game, it says
"Wii Remote 1 connected"
followed immediately after by
"Wii Remote 1 has been disconnected by emulated software"

I believe a standard Wii remote can be connected using Bluetooth and then selecting “real Wiimote” in dolphin. I don’t have a Wii remote so I can’t properly test this.

I used it in Dolphin without DS4 Windows. It appears Dolphin supports it much like Steam does. Using DS4 Windows is just gonna slow inputs.

Idk if I set this up wrong, or what. But right now anytime I try to move my ps4 controller the pointer goes like everywhere. And playing Wii baseball is almost impossible since have of the time the guy doesn't even swing like half of the time. Got any solutions at all?
You might have something enabled under the IR sensor control. You could putting the wiimote position in something other than landscape at the bottom right. I’ve only tried this method for racing games, so I haven’t tested with Wii baseball. Hopefully you find a quick and easy solution! :)

How connect ps4 controller dolphin on android?

If you use DS4W and the gyro patch, you can use the DS4 in another emulator with working gyro. Since Dolphin can do this with real wiimotes, do you know of any way to do it with a PS4 controller? I have searched and tinkered, but can't seem to get anything to work....
I’m not sure what you mean... the video is about how to use a PS4 controller with motion controls with dolphin. Isn’t that what you’re asking? :)
@@MarfYT The PS4 controller has built in gyros in it, if you literally raise the controller up, it is like pulling up or if you move it left, it would be like swinging left. I can do this in a couple other emulators (Cemu & RPCS3). If you have used Cemu and played Zelda BOTW, you can set it up to use the gyro in the actual controller and say for example, when shooting a bow, simply move the controller to aim, rather than using a joystick. I hope that makes a little sense...hahaha
So you’re just saying that the PS4 controller can do the same thing in other emulators...
Nice. I figured it would work for other emulators and games as well. I’ve tried it with Distance and it worked as well.
@@MarfYT Yes, like in Cemu and BOTW game, when configured right, you can raise or lower (left, right)) the controller and your bow will move or in certain areas, you need to tilt things to roll a ball, you just move the actual controller. I am trying to figure out how to do the same thing with Dolphin, like if you were using a actual wiimote
Dell Moore ah ok, I see what you are asking. Unfortunately, (as the video explains) I only know how to do it for racing games. I couldn’t quite figure out how to make it work with other games such as Wii sports. Sorry :(

Hello brother, I have a Wii console. But remote lost. How to control with USB keyboard /mouse wired or wireless? Or any other way to control this device like with PS4 game controller? Is it must required a PS4 to Wii adapter stick in order to connect to the PS4 controller? With out this direct plugin to Wii will work? Is it required any kind of some settings like mapping keys? i don't think there is anything you can do on the wii if you don't have a wii mote

Hi, I try to play Super Mario Galaxy on Dolphin and i use a DS4 controller. Everything is okay with it but they told me to plug a nun-chuk. What can i do?
go to the emulated wii mote settings and pick an attachment and then select nunchuck

@Charlie Newcomb I don't remember, this was a year ago.
I used Dolphin Emulator but because I've got a crappy potato PC it runs like crap! XD The one thing I found out when trying to use PS4 controller on PC (I used it for ePSXe) the controls were messed up and it's just a load of messing with having to reset your PS4 to reconnect the controller (I used the Bluetooth option btw). One quick question: If I were to connect the PS4 controller to my PC without Bluetooth all I need is to plug in with USB cable?
Yes, as long as you have a program to connect to it like DS4Windows. I use a standard micro usb cable to connect mine. Some games, like distance, recognize the PS4 controller even without ds4windows. Also, with dolphin, try running the game at the lowest resolutions and I’m sure there are guides on UA-cam on how to make it run smoother. :)

Hello there,, you think you could do an update for this? its 2020, Im sure there have been updates on both programs? I tried this and although the swing motions do seem correct, you are forgetting how to set the POINTER, and what to do with the accelerometer, you don't explain what YAW is for, and apparently there's no way to set it up on the same controller, and its necessary to play many games. what a struggle this is.

Hey man I know I'm 4 years late, but there's another tutorial I've seen where the guy set his point and aim to only trigger when he held down L1, and then would active the tilt controls by holding down on the D Pad. If anyone else is struggling maybe try that

@@Seeenseees043The Dolphin emulator emulates both GameCube and Wii. I’d recommend the GameCube version as it doesn’t require motion controls.

I only have one problem.
that every slight little movement counts as a swing or tilt or shake, which is annoying if it is accidental, for example games like New super mario bros.
You've probably already figured this out, but if you have the option called "speed" set it to a number that doesn't make it shake so much.

@@TheLastVicarSince I've only been playing Super Mario Galaxy I've found a forum that has a layout that best for that game only. The instructions are pretty straight forward although I did have to make a few changes to get the tilt function to work. Also I had to make two configurations because you can't use the tilt function for the cursor and the nunchuk rotation at the same time. If you want I can send you the link. If it works for you awesome. If not, I can show you the changes I made

Dude this does not help me I'm playing on the dolphin emulator for android I need to know how to set up my ps4 controller to play legend of zelda twilight princess I'd rather play the game cube version but unfortunately when you get to the woods the game drops it's framerate and the game becomes slow and laggy
the GameCube version is easier to run, the Wii version would only lag even more
@@Cumward I don't think it matters if it's a game cube game or a wii game most games from both systems that I've played either had graphical errors framerate loss or scratchy sound for example resident evil 4 wii edition likes to crash every once in a while the game cube version of resident evil 4 had graphical errors and I'm using the emulator on the newest samsung tablet the galaxy tab s7 the dolphin emulator I have isn't the one from the google play store it's the mmj version modded so you can use action replay or gecko cheats my tablet has a snapdragon 865 chip so it should be able to handle the emulator or it could just be the emulator itself that isn't perfect
@@nickforest7816 To connect your PS4 Controller to your phone, you need to hold the PS Button and Share Button simultaneously and when it starts blinking, go into your phone's bluetooth settings, and just connect it
@@elextricy3962 I have no problems connecting to my tablet I know how to do it but sometimes the controller won't stay connected to it even when it's fully charged sony has always had problems with there controllers not charging or staying connected I don't have any problems like this with my xbox series x controller
