Another comment putting height to blame, from what i see, experience speaks for itself in this match, only 3 US player who played in local league are the exact opposite of team Japan. The return of chiaka ogbogu made US have lot more confidence in front of the net. She's playing for Vakif Bank in Turkey, alongside paola egonu, gabi, zehra gunes, bajema and daalderop.

There was a physical and height mismatch this time with Japan that helped, but USA might get into more trouble with this type of performance against other teams. It was expected that the American will win. This 2023 VNL has revealed how the Japanese volleyball school technical level has progressed, lovely style. USA has more experienced players than Japan since they play in the best European leagues. Overall USA will be playing against the Winner of Türkiye or Italy tonight’s match. It’s gonna be spicy. I just enjoy watching women's volleyball. The talent on the USA team and Japan were so amazing! Foulke Akinradewo, and Larson, Washington they are so amazing to watch! as well as many others on the team! Looking forward to watching them at the Olympics 2024!

That was a good match although. I kinda expected the USA to win. It wasnt easy win coz Japan defense is insane. Good decision for Kiraly to shuffle his players on the 2 last sets. Bringing Lanier, Skinner and O'Neal is really good for the team.
This wasn't USA-Japan highlights. This was only USA highlights. I don't know who makes the highlights but remember there are 2 teams playing vs each other . Maybe you should also add some Japan's points.

Well USA was the winner. I love both teams btw but USA has more “highlights” play than Japan if you watch the whole match. Japan took one set from USA due to us’s errors (12) in 3rd set alone. Japan was a bit exhausted leading to this match compared to USA which reshuffled their players plus majority of the first six are from their A-team.
I am a Turkish fan. USA defeated Turkey 3-2 in Antalya. Now our girls will win the rematch with 3-0. The final will be Poland - Turkey . USA becomes 3rd. But the champion would be Poland.

Japan players need to play oversea league. They need to out of their comfort zone challenging other taller player rather than playing in JVL. It still good for Japan in this year VNL but just thought that every players seem lost confidences this year especially Koga and Mayu
I'm soo sad for japan , well trained from younger years well disciplined and dedicated unfortunately high and power matters in volleyball. Still one of my favourite team .

I watched the match. Usa gave them 12 errors in the 3rd set…japan didn’t lose any steam winning that set…
USA played complaisant in the 3rd set, they gave away half of the set score, due to errors.

Japan is great in playing techniques. They are much shorter than US players but they always play with higher potential.
