You have some nice, positive comments and I have to agree with each of them, especially PaulMarshall who said "You're doing it, that's all that matters." He's absolutely right. You get out there and make the same mistakes we all made (and I continue to make some of them over and over again) but you're giving us good content. We all enjoy it.
I really appreciate you saying that, I’ve had some ugly comments here recently so it means a lot to know there’s actually people who really enjoy this content 🙂
Wow, good to see another video! Glad everything went well for you, except the nose. Can't live with it and can't live without it dilemmas...ha! Looks like you had a lot of fun. Thanks for taking us along with you. See you on the next video.
Hi Nikki , I was sitting and looking for something to watch and got a notification pop up that you posted so decision quickly made LOL , I can totally relate to the runny nose when I hike especially if it's cold and if it's frost then it's like a river LOL Great rock hammer find looked like the perfect shape for tent pegs, the wind is always good for keeping the mosquitoes away , not sure what they are like there but they are relentless here this time of year. I often find after a day in the fresh air I can go to sleep pretty early problem is then I wake up really early too lol. Nice to wake up to the sound of birds in the morning and yep always nice to take the tent down dry LOL Have a great day and a wonderful week my friend.
On the runny nose thing, unless you know you suffer from allergies (like I did before I moved to Alaska), it can be caused by a condition called, "EIR" (exercise-induced rhinitis). Has to do with increased blood flow, adrenaline, etc. I run in the mountains and happens to me in the beginning of my excursions but tapers off during the day. Long sleeves, gloves, snot rags help. 😁
Hi there my friend. Looks like a very nice and relaxing campsite. Such a Nice scenery too. Sleep well! Curious though- Have You ever had some wild life checking you or area out while your there Alone? 😄💓 ENJOY YOUR ALONE & RELAXING TIME...
😊 gud to see u back nikki..! Looking gud !! Great camp..!! Now a few tips :- 1. Never walk fast uphill..it will make u breathless..as u go.! Walk with small steps n a gentle pace..u will not b breathless n tired ! 2. Always keep the gas canister as far away from the burner as possible .! For runny nose or stuffy nose get a bottle of eueclyptus oil n dab ur kerchuef n sniff it n voila ur nise will open up instantly it also helps if u rub it around ur nostrils .! Regards- joe

Hi Nikki, im Deborah from NC. It's nice to come across your channel. One question, when backpacking alone like you do. How do you handle things when a stranger approaches you, especially of the opposite sex. I'm a new subscriber.
Welcome new friend, I usually make eye contact early on when approaching, I do not loose eye contact and don’t speak unless spoken too. I always take my walking sticks regardless if I need them because I feel those could come in handy in a situation. More importantly I keep my pace and always look behind me after passing for a good distance and always carry that bear spray. It takes down all on 4 legs and all in 2 legs as well❤️ I hope you have a blast🙂

Your breat thru your nose more so the body tries to keep that area moist to help trap airborne particles
Thank you for that information🙂

No I have not, but I did find bear scat with a lot of berries in it on the trail on my way out the next morning about 1/2 mile from my campsite. 😬
