- The plaintiff brings her cousin to court. She claims the defendant has major attitude problems. She loaned the defendant money, but she hasn’t been paid back. She’s suing for an unpaid loan, wire transfer fee, and emotional distress. The defendant is countersuing because she claims the plaintiff defamed her.

There are two ways of looking at this. I agree with you that I wouldn't take family to court over $112, but I also wouldn't run the risk of ruining a family relationship by not paying $100. In the end I think they were both trying to hurt each other.

it may sound harsh but it’s the principle, pay what you borrowed just that simple, it’s was an agreement. If you can’t then you need to communicate that , the plaintiff shouldn’t have to ask you when. However, Neither party had to air out personal business though, that was foul as family but the defendant started that first, so the plaintiff finished the airing..fair game. Don’t be a victim when you failed to do your part in paying.. just apologize & pay.
