Thank you for posting. I replaced all of the dampers thinking it was a balancing issue, since the spin cycle wouldn't work. Turned out it was the red capacitor wire. Thanks again!
Just saved me a nightmare with our home warranty! Thank you!
Thank you for posting this video saved me a ton of time and money for such a simple fix. I am my wife's hero again and you are mine.......thanks
Spot on vid. Flipped my washer over and boom wire was tore off. Thanks for the vid man saved me some money an an upset spouse lol. 🤜🏻👍🏻👍🏻
thank you for the video, got me in the right direction. found the capacitor wires were fine but samsung or who ever built the motor used extremely thin gauge wires and found that the green wire was broken close to the 3 wire connector near the wire bundle close to the capacitor. so motor was dead in the water and the red wire jacket was also cracked and soon to be broken. had to cut the 3 wires and replace with male - female crimp on connectors at each end and taped everything back up, and now back in business for the time being. if anyone is having trouble. definitely look closely at the wires going directly to the motor as they are way too thin and could easily have a crack or break in them.
Purchased 16-14 gauge 1/4" female quick disconnects from Auto Zone item number 85452. Worked perfectly! Thank you!!!!
Thanks. Saved me a lot of diagnostic time. Red wire burned thru at connector. Five-minute fix. I did both wires. Washer still junkie but now a working piece of junk.
The Blade how did you fix the red wire that burned through?
I spliced on a wire and connector from an old harness. Samsung wire is minimal in my opinion. Twist wires, solder and tape.
The Blade how are you. Has your repair held up? Mine broke off after two loads. Maybe because I only re spliced existing red wire and crimped back on existing connector. No sod no tape (electrical tape?) Thank you.
Omg this saved my life!!!! Went to check wires and yup the red one was definitely broken off
Omg thank you! It was the red wire for mine. It wasn't spinning and not giving any blinking lights. My BF fixed it in like 20 minutes! I just know the Samsung repair guy would have charged me at least $200!
Right on! Mine was actually the other (red) wire that broke off, but you saved me a $170 service call. Many thanks for posting!
How did you fix the red wire?
@@rogaken I spliced (with a wire nut for repeatability) a heavy duty flag terminal onto the existing washer wire. I salvaged that heavy duty flag terminal from an old (HVAC) compressor's wire harness (specifically for vibration). I found this can happen again and again when the washer is extremely loaded and also unbalanced (blanket/comforter). I've had to splice each (red & black) wire about 2-3 times since I bought the washer. Using the wire nut allows for reuse of the existing washer wire (without getting shorter from crimp connectors).
Hi, I bought the same machine today and my friend whom I bought it from says that it does not spin and I’m looking forward to see if I can fix it myself.
You saved the day, my man and a bunch of money too.
One broken red wire, and a short fix later, I'm back in business.
jonnyhunglo how are you. Has your repair held up? Mine broke off after two loads. Ty
jonnyhunglo following. Same here :/
@@gentlepotatoe I used gator clip jumper cables seemed to work. Now have new issues with this washer.
Thank you for posting this! Saved me a few hundred dollars :)
All my wires checked out good. So I continued on my quest with different videos. I was not getting hot water, checked everything related to that. No voltage to the solenoid, was ready to call a repairman. Then found a video that said the pressure sensor gave the same code. The clear tube from the sensor to the bottom of the drum had came off at the drum end. Reattached and solved the problem.
Thank you so much. This saved me and my family
If you Samsung WA3000 is not spinning, then look under your washer for the two wires shown at 1:40 in this video. If they have broken off, reconnect them, done! Took me about 90 seconds once I found my wire strippers.
suburbancow how are you. Has your repair held up? Mine broke off after two loads. I re spliced existing wire and reconnected to existing connector and crimped and reconnected. Worked fine two times the it broke off again? I didn’t soder or change connector. I’m stumped. Ty
How do you put it in test mode? The pdf manual I just downloaded dosent even say how...wiring is all good. Machine is 5 months old. Wish it was as simple as a loose wire but it's not. Is their a fuse inside the pannel?
No replay??
Any suggestions on why it broke off again after only two loads? Thank you for the video.
Thanks. I was about to dump this washer nothing but problems. mine was the orange wire on the cap it's was not crimpt will I place a mirror under it and I saw it works like a charm after that.
Do you have a video how you took off the top .. I'm trying to change power cord only..
Thank you for this video. Four days of searching and this is the only video that shows how to resolve the issue. WARNING- my capacitor still had a charge after 2 days of being unplugged so be careful...My red wire was damaged. I ended up splicing it to a length that allowed me to wrap it around the connector. No need to remove the panel, just lay the machine down and you can get to everything. Saved me a $160 diagnostic fee.
Could you explain how the splicing and wrapping works?
@@JamesDuren It was a temporary fix that lasted about 2 months. At which point, the high rpm from the spin cycle snapped the wire again. Somehow that led to the motherboard going bad and the company's support desk was no help at all. If I had it to do over, I would've used a wire crimp terminal & soldered it to the connector and hoped everything held together. I got frustrated and ended up buying another washing machine (GE with old school agitator).
@@dudebyob how did you release the charge of capacitor ?
@@Tssonyoutube By getting the crap shocked outta me🙂.
@@dudebyob the unforgettable method lol
I just replaced the pcb board on mine with the included rinse sink. But after a load finishes it’s cycle, there is a substantial amount of water in the rinse sink (mind you, we never use the rinse sink). Thank you!
That did it! Thank you.
you sir are the man
Where can I find the app or a printout for the error codes?
Thanks for this video! I went from thinking we needed a new washer to finding the disconnected wire on the capacitor.
Quick question: Where can I guy the silver connector at the end of the red wire that connects to the capacitor? I need a new one.
Could you post the Samsung website that you are using for your insight on this washer please?
Glad you asked! Appliantology.org
Can you tell me what the cold, medium, and wash light on this washer means while in test mode?
Where did you get the service manual ?
Thank you. Fixed it.
Short and sweet! Really great video! I have a question as a guy that is totally brand new to this field. If you are a tech and run into this situation thinking that it is a COD call does this turn into a warranty call? If so how do you proceed with the customer to change the billing?Assuming that the tech is not set up for any kind of warranty
Mines will spin but my clothes still will be soaking wet. It’s like it won’t completely the final spin cycle. Any help?
What a legend. Fixed!!
Have this same washer and my tries to spin, but makes a terrible grinding noise and finding that it's usually off balance. But it's every load at this point.
shazam !!!! Skip to 1:08 in the vid. Check the red wire--- might FEEL attached-- but pull on it. solder it to connector and you are the HERO. Thanks for the video and help !!!!!!!!!
I have a no spin problem too, but my washer is not displaying any errors. I'll still check that terminal and see what is going on.
Good vid. Discovered this problem on my machine a while back. Fixed as you did but continue to have this problem more and more often. What could be the cause of this to be a frequent issue?
I have the same issue, fix it and breaks in about a week
@@tonyfry6531 mine depends on how heavy the load is
Great video. Did anyone fix it but then have it break agin in like 3 weeks? It keeps doing it. Any idea why it keeps breaking?
Yup. Broke after the third wash.
Can you point me in the direction of where to get a new connector for the blue wire?
Thank you, god bless you 🙏
I needed this video thank u
Hey all, I had both of the wires break and I used the 14/16 flag connectors from Advance Auto Parts.
Hi,i'm Chris and I was wondering what the tablet and cable you use to get the codes with
I’m getting hot & warm led flashing, clothes are still coming out wet. I can’t read the model # on the spin sensor. Wires are good, so I’m wondering is’t a bad sensor.Any help is appreciated. 😊
Thanks you! Save me some $$$ God bless you and your family!
I had the broken wire just as described. However after repairing the wire I'm still having the same issue. I fixed the wire by soldering the wire back to the existing connector and tested the connection with an ohm meter. It seems likely that his caused the issue, but I'm confused as to why it didn't fix it. I'm wondering if the wire being disconnected could have caused damage to either the capacitor or the motor itself. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
You have to reset the washing machine not sure how yet
The same with mine. Fixed the broken wire but only ran once and stopped again. The wires are intact but no spin.
Perfect solution. Thank you, 5 yrs later
Can you share how you put it in diagnostic mode.
Mike Hardial Hi Mike. You have to press delay start, extra rinse, and power until you hear three beeps.
What exactly is "delay start"? There doesn't seem to be that option on the control panel.
Can u plz help me it is not spinning right and makes a noise and we haven't had it 2 months we r sick ty
I have only one arm and finding it difficult to do this. What would be the service charge for this????
Hello! My washer goes through all the wash and rinse cycles and gets stuck on the spin cycle. The error code I see is 3c3. Please let me know if a broken wire could be causing this? I would assume the washer wouldn’t work at all if there was a broken wire.
I have the same issue but the wires are good what else can I check?
I have same model and same problem. I fix the wires and still have issue. What could it be beside wiring?
Me too! Fixed the broken wire but did not fix the spin problem
WA40J3000WA washer motor spins continually upon power on. This machine has had an initial problem of unbalance which was cleared by replacing all 4 balancing rods, Capacitor replaced, TMR Sensor replaced, and shift actuator has been replaced. All replaced for multiple issues found caused by the initial unbalance. At the moment there are NO fault codes but the motor runs continuously from power "on" and turns off 5 seconds after power button is pressed. The machine does not go into spin because the motor does not stop/pause to engage the gears and grinds the gears. any ideas?
Thank you!!!!!! thank you!!!!!!!! thank you thank!!!!!!!! you!!!!!!!! look behind my washing machine flipped it upside down and the red wire was cut in half connected my wire and instantly started spinning again!!!!!!
Hi! How to get to this troubleshooting page?
all wiring is good on mine. could it be a loose drive belt causing my no spin issue. motor actually starts the spin cycle, but belt is extremely loose and doesn't spin the tub what I think is enough for the tmr to sense the speed and then motor stops.
Hi, how did you get the belt issue resolved? Was it just a replacement or motor bolt adjustment? Thanks
@stefandimitrov just a belt replacement
Hi, where can i get that software ?
where can one find the error code list? i can't find it anywhere!
Here is an update on my Samsung top load washer. I disconnected the machine all night long. I began working on it about 4 pm today, Monday, July 31st, 2023. I flipped the washer upside down. I cleaned all the crap that was under there. I checked all the connections; they were all in good working order. I disconnected the drain lines that go to the pump. I checked inside the lines and inside the pump to the best that I could. I worked my fingers inside the pump and water lines. There were no obstruction or obstructions. I was expecting to find coins of socks in there. Nothing but air was in there. I proceeded to connect the water lines to the washer after I flipped it right-side up. I ran a program on low setting with no clothes. The machine worked through its cycles. I quickly opted to wash a load of towels. The load did as it should. The tub filled with water. The agitator was moving. The tub was draining. What I did not like is that the spin cycle took about 20 minutes. In addition, I noticed, by way of sound, that the motor only kicked in about two seconds of intermittent boosts to crank up the spin in the tub. The washer went through many of these boosts. After what seemed an eternity. The washer finished the load of towels. The towels did feel damp. As if the spinning was to an adequate degree. Nevertheless, I sent Samsung a messenger post on facebook telling them that the washer, for only being in our family for maybe three years, has been quite problematic. Thank you, sir.
mine stops in the middle of a rinse cycle. The Normal and Rinse lights are flashing. I pause the machine open and close the lid, then hit start and It will work after that. I looked at the codes for this and there is none. Any suggestion will help... Please
Mine will only spin if I move the dial to "Spin".
Irritating!
I set my Samsung top load washer in rinse and spin mode. It does not spin. But tank does fill with water and sounds like it is agitating. But spin does not kick in. Spin led blinks steady. Rinse + spin blinks steady. Door lock led is solid. But no spin.
My washer looks just like this one but I do not have a capacitor with the two wires.
Where you able to find yours?? can't find mine either..
is it safe to tilt the washer or to lay it on its "face /front"..
Hi i have a WA80G5 all functions working except start where must i look
Where to buy a new fuse
so it’s normal for it to make alot of noise when on spin cycle ???
My Samsung activewash is not spin but is a cb error code coming on what is that mean?
I am also getting error code... 13 is displayed but the 3 is reversely displayed
I flipped my machine over and the red wire is broken off. Can someone explain like I'm 5 how to fix it? This is my first attempt at electrical repair. I've already replaced the water pressure sensor and the drain pump. POS washer, don't want to buy a new one if this is the repair.... Thanks in advance!!
So where does one get service bulletins?
Great question! Appliantology.org
Where can I find fast track?
It works 😊
What does it mean when you reconnect the wires and they just burn off again after two loads?
Darius Melasecca you ever get an answer? Happened twice in one day. Thank you.
@@jmar7313 never got a reply but I think I fixed the issue permantly. I extended the red wire but to a higher temp wire and replace the stock wire terminal with a high temp terminal. About 5 dollars worth of stuff. Haven't stopped working since. I think we're on load number 10 no issues
Thank you so much Darius. Makes sense. You helped tremendously. God bless you. Jim
They burn because of arcing ... The connection isn't tight even it causing the terminal to arc .. Burning away wire and insulation.. -electrician
So we need to replace the red wire with a higher temp wire? Is that what I'm understanding? I'm not super mechanical so keeping it simple helps me a lot. I keep having the same issue every load after replacing it.
Mine will fill up but when it has water it don’t spin out but I hear a little humming noise
Mine started this same issue with filling up but nothing after that other than a humming sound like it was trying to wash but it won’t. Did you find out anything by chance?
Having this exact same problem. Were you able to find out the problem?
having this problem. did you find a solution

My Samsung selfclean top washer fills in water but does not wash, but when I run spin alone, it spins, what could be the problem
The clutch my friend
Could be mode switcher
Anyone have pictures of there's underneath, bc mine look a little different, capacitor? I only have 3 connections under mine..
Any suggestions for a machine that spins but won't agitate ?
Lid lock
About to check this 😅 my top loader just stopped spinning and repair guy said $400 I said the washer cost that much so no thank you.
Red wire was the problem runs good now but hot/cold error code still showing
How did you fix the red wire problem?
@@rogaken required newly crimped female connector. mine came apart 2nd time this time discovered that incoming wire cable plastic frame holder wasn't pushed in to the frame hole and red wire vibrated off again. you can see it under his thumb in video at 1:38/2:00 as well as the one near blue wire make sure both are pushed in
Mine acts like it’s spinning but no water goes in.
Very common on top load Samsung
Very common issue with this washer. But today I’m going back for the 3rd time. The wire keeps burning off the connector right at the crimp. It’s too early to call tech so I’m here. 😂
I have a blinking Hot light.
It barely drains the water. Do you think the pump is going?
No offense, but that's a cheesy looking washer. How durable are those?
Good video!
Dzonemp their not. Best washing machines were built 20 years ago. Had 1 last me 17 years. Just bought this pos 5 months ago and already having spin issues
Samsung washer very cheap.
they suck big time.
I think mine just last me 3 years and I had to fix it too many times allready
Gotta love that made in China quality.
Made in China, us, Germany or ..... nothing is made to last.
Very sad people put up pages and ignore questions. I really wish people would STOP buying their products. Put in a complaint with BBB and Attorney General. Contact them directly, companies may not help everyone but may help you. They will get sick of complaints and send degraded products to other countries! May God have some dignity and respect for the Men who fought for their freedom. So they could turn around price gouge us, with defective products. Brag about it behind paywalls.
All the money we pay for washers and the wires just fall out 🙄
At work, we bought a jetter truck for 500k. It sat for almost 2 months due to a ground wire not making contact because it was painted. Made in the USA too.
Why do they sell this shit when problems like this pop up

Mine doesn’t even do anything it makes a clicks sound like 8 times , then does a fake spin sound and then completely stops .. idk what to do at this point .. and it slides the exact same thing on every single mode I put it on!!! Smh 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
