@@cassmoore4719Years ago I was lucky to be staying on the mountain and had a chance to be one of the first people on the Kosi lift. The run was AMAZING in the morning - newly groomed before it got tracked out.
Hi i just wanna say thank you so much for making and posting this video on youtube. i learned how to ski just by wathing this single video only. OMG just like abracadabra i can directly get the idea how to turn
When the snow cover is top to bottom this is the best run in Australia for carving your turns. About a 4.2km (2.6 mile) groomed run with 600m (2,000ft) of vertical from Eagle's Nest to the village. Early morning is almost always best as (except on very cold days) it tends to soften at lot at the mid-lower elevations during the afternoon. The longer run from the top of Karels is a bit troublesome as it requires you to catch 2 additional T-bars after you reach the top of the high speed quad-chair at Eagle's nest for only an extra 100m (300ft) of vertical.
Lovely!! Just came back from France and this particular slope reminded me a lot of a slope in Pre La Joux.. ahhh I miss it already. Thanks for sharing this video bro
@atque scientia europa universalis Remember that in the southern hemisphere, south facing slopes are angled away from the sun and hold snow longer (preferable for ski runs). You are looking across the valley at north facing slopes which face the sun and melt off quickly. The ranges on the opposite side of the Thredbo Valley are as high as 1900 metres but still have trouble holding snow due to north facing aspect.
Not the longest run at Thredbo. You need to start from the top of Karels (another T Bar) and ski down to where this video starts which was from the top of Crackenback chair.
I want to do that right now!!! Darn it all to heck!! I live at a ski resort in Idaho, USA where it's to hot tto ski right now. Living thru that video dude.
yeah that's a tuck the stocks under armpits and aim the tips of the skis at the bottom slope.....not sure how the cameraman didn't overtake though, he must have been dragging sandbags....Jono was taking way too may turns
Great skiing-great camera work!
When is it ever this smooth and deserted of people? Was the run closed for this vid?
Best time of the day to ski, BEFORE first chair! You just need to be in the know ;)

Excellent job by the videographer. Big fun.

My favourite snowboard tumbling run in thredbo
You are the champ!
The turns are so smooth-
Is it hard to ski... going in 2 days for the first time and am quite nervous
rocking chair no, he was on the news. He broke his neck from attempting a backflip.
Maxi. P who was
Nah
Shame how the wide angle lens flattens the slope out. But great camera work....
what run was this please? from which chairlift did Jono start? thanks
Supertrail, not sure on the starting point
@@ajbardawil9546 yo it was the cruiser chairlift
@@Andrej3000 nar my bad, it's actually Easy Does It
@@ajbardawil9546 Supertrail starting from the back of Eagle's Nest on the Basin side.
He started behind the Eagle's Nest restaurant at the top of Kosciuszko Express Lift.
is the camera a man or a drone cause this is good
Fantastic slope! Would love to try something like that (at a much slower speed of course).
Amazing, i want to write to you and see if i can do an arty remix of this?
Which run is this?
good turns where are the crowds?
Still at the hotel. It's in the morning before the first lift.
Why is there no snow on the mountain opposite?
@Ziggy Ewart The other "mountain" is not in a snow capturing position and is much lower elevation.

OMG,dream...
Is this kozi
Thredbo. It's in Kosciusko National Park. Mt Kosciusko itself is about an 8km walk north from where he started his run (Eagle's Nest)
Ripping!
Go there every year and do that same run a lot getting back from the restaurants the camera doesn’t do it justice way steaper than is looks
Done them
Obviously, this slope is lame because the cameraman pretty much straight lined it. Good skiing by the subject.

There's no cameraman, he was filmed from a high speed drone
The run averages 15 degrees.
