- Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas was one of the first Bolliger & Mabillard floorless coasters and it's arguably the best. This is the best floorlessd coaster in my opinion. I really appreciate the use of the quarry wall and the layout is fun too.
It was my favorite until I got a reride on the Spanish Superman.
B&M Floorless coasters are already really fun. Terrain coasters are also fun. Mix those 2 together and you get Superman. I have only ridden 1 B&M Floorless in Rougarou and I think it's very underrated and I found that to be enjoyable. This thing is on a whole different level. Who would ever expect B&M to build one that interacts with a corey wall?
Rougarou has a great first half.
I went to this park for my tenth birthday and I was originally going to ride nothing but then my mom tricked me into going on road runner and I eventually ended up on superman, poltergeist and iron rattler now I'm obsessed with rollercoasters.
Nice!
Awesome!
Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas opened as an improvement to the park's coaster lineup. The park had six roller coasters, but the park's major coasters were Rattler, Poltergeist, Boomerang, and Joker's Revenge. Those coasters many people found them...
A) as smooth rides
B) as rough rides
B
This is definitely my fav ride at sixflags fiesta texas
Damn, hot take!
Same! Love me some b&m's
This by no means a bad ride, but this is the same park as Wonder Woman Golden Lasso and Iron Rattler
I prefer the two RMCs, but this is a great ride too.
@@CanobieCoaster true but there both short
My favorite part of the Superman ride is driving in the La Cantera Mall parking lot (mall by six flags) passing the Superman ride while rolling my window down to hear the screams ;)
It's a cool sight from there.
I really enjoy Superman, and I think it's a perfect fit for the park. Poltergeist and Goliath are much more intense loopers, with a bunch of positive Gs; and the more floaty, less intense inversions on Superman complement them well. It's just a shame that the corkscrews have such a rattle to them. It's interesting that some B&Ms have a rattle in very specific sections of the track. I've also noticed it on Kraken and Sheikra.
Kraken seems to rattle when the trains aren't fully loaded.
That setting would make just about any coaster that uses that quarry wall an all-star coaster imo
Even their mine train goes from ordinary to good.
Superman Krypton, Medusa, Dominator and Superman in Madrid are probably the 4 best B&M Floorless coasters. I've only ridden Rougarou and Scream, and of those two I preferred Scream. The worst part of a B&M Floorless coaster is its corkscrews, especially if you like to sit in the back. (Rougarou's post MCBR gave my left shoulder bruises.) As for this video: I love how you describe the ride: it makes me want to ride it with all of its speed and well profiled drops for back car coaster enthusiasts like me. Thanks for posting this well researched review, its great.
Thanks! My issue with Rougarou isn't the corkscrews. It's the sudden turns in the second half.
GREAT SUPERMAN KRYPTON COASTER REVIEW AT SIX FLAGS FIESTA TEXAS !!!!
Thanks!
Can you review Bizzaro? It's my first floorless coaster, and it was great.
I have a Bizarro review queued up for next week.
@@CanobieCoaster Yay
I haven’t ridden a floorless coaster yet sadly but I hope to when I return to Florida
Hope you can!
I love the Superman statue at the top of the vertical loop
Me too.
I’ve always been dying to ride this one. It looks fantastic!
It is.

As a result, B&M was contracted to build 4 additional floorless coasters the following year in 2000. Three of them would go to Six Flags parks, and one of them was none other than Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. This coaster would be a major help for Fiesta Texas. Before Superman opened, this San Antonio park was home to six different roller coasters. But their major coasters all offered...
A) smooth rides.
B) rough rides.
B (for the most part)
It's either my 3rd or 4th favorite B&M floorless coaster. I don't like B&Ms OTSR, as I sometimes struggle to not get headbanging with them. This ride did nail me a couple times on my last visit, but I should've been riding more defensively in those moments. I have Poltergeist ahead of it, because of the launch, no rattle, the head-choppers, and especially the lap bars. I still love the quarry wall setting on Superman. It was my first large-scale looping coaster when I first rode it back in 2008, and that first ride freaked me out.
I can see how this ride would freak someone out as a first large scale looper considering the size of this ride.
My favorite part is the drop off the mid course, it’s so snappy
I like the earlier cliff drops more.
This video is great! I completely agree with almost everything I you said! SFFT is my home park! The one thing I do disagree with is that I think that the front row is better in my opinion. I didn’t ride in the front until recently, it blew me away! Literally, there was a lot of wind in my face. And like you said you get some airtime going into the brake run, but I do not know if you talked about the airtime going into the helix. That really surprised me when I rode in the front. If you get the chance I would try to ride in the front again and take into consideration what i said, you may be surprised!
I rode several times in the front and back, but I still preferred the back.
Soooo sad I didn't get to ride this on my Texas trip. Doubt I'll ever make it back there. It had a lift hill evac when I was there so glad I didn't get on it. High winds messed with rides all day. But still a great, enjoyable park.
This one had some weather issues during my December visits, but I was able to get on it one of the days.
Especially, because Rattler was an RCCA wooden coaster that was considered by many as rough, then Boomerang, Poltergeist, and Joker's Revenge all had over the shoulder restraints. What happened with those coasters?
Joker was removed, Poltergeist and Boomerang got new restraints, and Rattler was turned into Iron Rattler.
Superman is my favorite coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and I love to see another BM coaster
I prefer the RMCs myself.
Hey, would ya look at that, dr diabolicals is coming!

The original Rattler was tearing itself apart and shuffling start-to-finish. Joker's Revenge, Boomerang, and Poltergeist, all had over-the-shoulder restraints and some choppy transitions, resulting in headbanging.
Did you hear most people and guests say they were enjoyable or did you hear most people and guests say...?
Not all guests liked their older coasters.
Do you get a lot of that stomach drop sensation on this ride or is it more like Goliath or boomerangs drop? (I’m still working my way up to the bigger rides)
You don't get too much of a stomach drop. Boomerang's drop feels more intense to me.
@@CanobieCoaster ha I agree I went on both for the first time and yeah I would say boomerangs drop is more intense in the back but super man is very fun and is my favorite ride in the park
I totally agree!
Nice!
I love those B%M floorless Coasters because of your Feet dangling that might be a problem for taller riders
Which B&M floorless coaster first drop, do you like more, one that has some weak floater airtime, or one that has sustained floater airtime and feels more reminiscent and borrowed from a hyper?
The latter.
Superman is my favorite at Fiesta. It just edges out Iron Rattler. I haven’t gotten to ride Wonder Woman yet. Superman is one of my favorite coasters anywhere, actually. I think Titan and New Texas Giant at SFoTx give it a run for it’s money. I like Texas Giant more than Iron Rattler, mostly because of the pacing and the airtime you get on it. I wish they would have made Iron Rattler longer and had a way to I crease the speed when you’re on the quarry wall. It feels like you are about to valley up there, but that drop off the wall is AMAZING!
I don't mind that Iron Rattler is slow atop the wall since you still get airtime or sideways hangtime on each element up there.
Will you be reviewing hydra soon?
It wasn't one of the next ones I had planned.
This is my 3rd fav floorless after kraken at sea world Orlando and Medusa at six flags Discovery kingdom.
I take this one over it.
It is a pretty sweet ride. Second to IR. Slightly ahead of WW bc of its use of the quarry wall. SIx Flags should have paid a little more and taken the raptor off the quarry wall
I prefer the two RMCs for the airtime.
yeah a custom single rail that jumps on and off the wall would have been amazing
I'm terrified of roller coasters, I was forced to ride all the rides at fiesta texas 2 decades ago and superman was one of the ones that was closed which I'm still upset about to this day, because that shopping mall (or any construction for it) wasn't there 2 decades ago, so the view from the first lift would've been 1000000x better
I didn't realize the mall was that new.
Was Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas your favorite B&M floorless coaster in the world in 2021, 2022, and 2023?
It was until 2023.
I’m not good with coasters, does this one have airtime? That’s my weakness
Not too much airtime.
Man I really want to like this coaster. The layout and the visuals are so great. Unfortunately when I rode last year, it was shaky the whole time for me and it left me with a minor headache. Because of that I didn't want to ride again and make it worse. I still like Dominator the best out of the floorless coasters I've been on because that one has a great layout and is smooth besides the finale with the double corkscrews. Someday I will have to give Superman another chance, but I was very let down by it after hearing so many great things about it beforehand.
I have heard others find the ride too shaky, but it wasn't bad for Holiday in the Park.
okay so i'm literally going to fiesta texas in a few hours. Trying to get over my fear of inversions. Is this going to be a super scary ride or is it enjoyable. Like how intense is it. I saw a review that said kids can ride this and be fine, and then another that said he blacked out? Pls help lol im terrififed.
It's very smooth. I would recommend starting with Iron Rattler if you have a fear of inversions. That ride has some big drops, but there's only one inversion.
@@CanobieCoaster thanks! My friend is parking us right now. PRAY FOR ME 🤠🤧
What do you think about Superman Krypton Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, smooth the entire ride experience?
Smooth
If I ask you, Canobie Coaster, did you hate that floorless coaster, Firebird at Six Flags America?
Canobie Coaster would say:
I don't hate that one like some as long as I'm in...
The back.
For example, did you hate that B&M floorless coaster, Firebird at Six Flags America?
It's fine in the back.
I choose Superman as my 250th milestone and was slightly disappointed. I’ve been on 5 floorless coasters in 6 parks, my favorite is Dominator, which was much better visually over the lake than KD’s parking lot. I was slowed on the break run of Superman, and it wasn’t as smooth of a ride as I had hoped for. The teen ride ops didn’t understand the big milestone either.
That's rare getting slowed on this ride's MCBR.
Have you reviewed dark knight at sfne?
I want to get video footage of the SFNE rides before reviewing them.
@@CanobieCoaster that's fair.
Six Flags St. Louis badly needed one of these over a decade ago. The coaster design mgiht be a bit outdated at this point and so I'd think a Wonder Woman RMC single track would work better to replace the aging Ninja.
St. Louis really needs another major coaster.
It was your favorite in 2021, in 2022, but what happened to 2023?
I rerode Superman at Parque Warner and it offered a superior ride.
I’m pretty sure the Superman on top of the loop is about 10 feet tall
Makes sense.
In 2021 and 2022 this was your number 1 B&M floorless, and in 2023?
Superman Kypton Coaster was my favorite floorless until I rerode Superman la Atraccion de Acero in 2023.
And to think it’s actually a good coaster for six flags and they don’t copy and paste it to every park
I like how unique it is.
Idk if my my experience is a anomaly but I experienced a lot of head banging when I rode it
It had a rattle on my last rides, but no headbanging.
@@CanobieCoaster I may just have a low tolerance for thoses over the shoulder restraints cause I can't stand the batman clones either
Damm, even over rattler and ww?
I mean there both really short and intense, but ir has some bad operations ngl
I prefer the two RMCs myself.
i had to hold my shoes on superman because of an annoying operator but held on but still love this ride
I always wear sneakers to avoid that issue.
@@CanobieCoaster I was wearing sneakers but I had just got them and they cost a lot so I was trying to play it safe
No. Kraken is my favorite floorless.
That's another good one.
@@CanobieCoaster cool
Same
Favorite floorless?
@@CanobieCoaster yes
Better than Wonder Woman
Not for me.
Firebird is the best floorless coaster
I don't hate that ride like others (as long as I'm in the back row), but I prefer their bigger floorless coasters.
Only been on that one, so I can’t really compare it, but it’s my first credit and I’ve been on it like 10 times. Haven’t been on any other b&m’ s but I didn’t think firebird was rough at all
