Went to Fry’s (Kroger) here in Tucson after watching your video. I saved 35% on my order by using digital coupons, managers’ specials and other “deals of the week” items. I always like when you point out the specials. Thanks for the tips.
I don't buy 90% of the items in a grocery store, but I still like to watch you check out everything. I don't do processed foods at all, so it is interesting to see the prices and availability for those foods. I shop the local farmers and the outside of the store for everything except beans, basmati and jasmine rice, and non enriched pastas. My inflammatory condition appreciates that type of diet...thankfully! God Bless 🥰
pasta is processed but hey if it works for you go for it👍. Potato chips are my guilty pleasure for processed 💩. Always best to shop local farmers👍 and also dont buy 90% of items, just seeing how bad the economy is😊
@BrianK-zz4fk If you buy 100% semolina pasta, it is not enriched. It is the enrichment and bleaching process of wheats that makes the pastas trigger inflammatory conditions. A dark yellow pasta is always best when choosing. I eat 2 pasta meals per month. Anything that is "enriched" is problematic.
@@anonymousone2843 my definition of processed is if you cant kill it or eat it off a tree in its original form it is processed. That would include butter which I use alot and sounds a bit like your pasta as being minimally processed.
It is good to see videos like this. Food is expensive and middle class to poor are impacted by inflation and taxes. No Kroger around here. We have Food Lion, Walmart and Army Commissary on base. Think there is an IGA in Lillington NC. Better stock up as I monitor the business channels and middle east news.
Fr9m what imcan tell, regular Kroger price on chuck stew price is $6.99 lb. The 3lb Family packs of chuck stew meat are $18.7x to,18.8x. Consider buying a $4.99/ lb chuck roast and cutting your own stew meat cubes for som savings. Or, dice some of into sizes approaching the size seen in commercially canned soups, for soup..
@@chychy118 Some steaks come from roasts too. It often costs more out the door because you're buying more pounds of meat than say a couple of steaks but cutting your own steaks can save money per steak. Ham steaks can be cut at home; and by gosh buying a ham steak to cut ham cubes from is tremendously cheaper in this area. Bonel3ss pork chops are cut from roasts too; usually the roast is cheaper per pound.
I bought a package of stew meat several years ago and it was very tough. Ever since then, I have bought a chuck roadt and cut it up for stew and it has always been very tender. I buy whatever roast cut is on sale to pressure can ... it all turns out the same.😋
Danno when you go to Kroger there are so many good things on sale. But when I go to the Kroger’s in my area (Texas) the items you showed in your video are either not on sale or the sale price is higher. The Dole fruit cups are on sale but at $2.99. So I asked the Manager about this and was told not only can prices vary state to state but city to city. But I was still able to pickup some deals.
Good morning Danno and Jess. Thanks for taking us to Jungle Jim's yesterday.Ive never seen a store as big as that except Pikes Place Market in Seattle.I hope you guys have a great day ❤️🌞
Good morning Danno...Here in S Indiana we don't have a digital coupon for the Ground Chuck, so there can be differences in different areas. Thank you for your hard work.
Was happy to find a specific Waterloo sparkling water this morning (blackberry/lemonade) for $3.99 plus a $1 digital. 😁Were some good deals. Boneless chuck roast $3.77 LB w/digital - picked up 2. Dole fruit parfaits $1.99 w/digital. Hubby loves those for his lunch. They at least had 2 left. Seattle coffee still B1/G1. Free Kroger pasta sauce digital (great for meatball subs). Spent around $100 and saved over $30 so down to $70 something. Good week to stock a few items.
Kroger.....please come to Tampa, FL. Publix is sooooooo expensive. A half gallon of milk is $3.49 and a gallon of milk is $4.99. Publix never has chicken breast at $2.49 lb. Plus you can use your Kroger points at their gas station to save money on fuel.
We're going to Kroger Friday morning. I'm getting the digital half-gallon milks, It is $1.19 here! I have never seen digitals, let alone milk, cheaper than Cinci! Vacuum-sealed brick cheeses last for at least a year in the fridge when vacuum-sealed. I cut them into manageable blocks,or put them in bigger bags and vacuum them each time. I find great deals just glancing up and down the aisles. I have the time, fortunately.
@@AdventureswithDanno Tuesdays and Thursdays here not only for the fuel points,(I have a free Boost membership, so no big deal), but they are restocked those days for and from the weekends.
We live in a small town, there are times I go to our Kroger that items are out, short staffed and at times they have to do the online orders 😢, so we don’t get stocked, my husband works there overnights, so sometimes I can get him to get some stuff if it come in 😮.
Always enjoy Krogering my way thru the store for their sales ❤ I would like to see some Spices where you feature 1 or 2 for the week like Basil and Cumin and you show all the varying prices on that 1 spice at all the different brands @ Kroger 😊
I love jungle gyms my niece went to university in north Kentucky and she said that the store is very popular in Cincinnati and I think they have 2 of them in Cincinnati 🎉💙💙
Thank you for pointing out the Waterloo water. I wish they still had the 12-pack (although it had gone up to $7.99), but that's a good price for the 8-pack.
Still loving your video's from the UK. We have high cocoa prices in supermarkets, crisps and potato snacks are expensive for weight and Pepsi Max has doubled in price in the past 2 years.
As always fabulously informative. If anyone wonders if Simple Truth nuts are good quality I prefer Simple Truth over all national “name brands “ like Fisher and Blue Diamond. If you wouldn’t mind keeping an eye out for good prices on half and half other than Sam’s for $2.48. The $3.29 per quart at Kroger is awful! I use powdered creamer in the office with my Keurig pods and Coffee Mate from Sam’s Ckub is a value impossible to beat. Also on the coffee front is Almond Joy International Delight just gone everywhere? My wife loves it but I can’t find it anywhere for her anymore.
it’s insane that Tide in the regular bottles (that don’t look like gas cans) is 18.99 I bought those all the time just 3 years back and it was usually 8.00 or so. Why did tide more than double in price so fast? I also wonder why the Yellow bottled Tide can be found so much cheaper. Is it just watered down regular Tide? Because it works really well anyhow.
I went to Smith’s (Kroger) in Salt Lake City today and the regular price of a 12-pack (of 12-oz cans) of soda was $9.99. Unless I wanted to buy 5 12-packs, then the price was $4.99/apiece. So stupid….
