I barely go to my Aldi anymore. Pass on the cookies or anything with palm oil in it. It’s a very very very unhealthy oil. It’s even in ice cream. I don’t know why ice cream needs an oil in it.🤷♀️
@mupty that's nothing really new besides labeling laws. If it has beet sugar, what, corn, soy in it it will likely have GMO crops. Cotton to these days. That's like 90% of all processed foods.
Ive cut my grocery bill by 50% i dont buy hardly any boxed or bagged items. I stick to fresh fruit, veg and meat. When you get the processed foods out of your diet you feel full and dont crave any junk.
I still love my Aldi but the prices have doubled and tripled on some items. It annoys me to have to spend so much on things I got dirt cheap just a couple of years ago. All while our goverment sends billions of our hard earned tax money to foreign nations.
These comments are generally left by russian bots but who in their right mind doesn't understand the price gouging from multinational corporations which are run by conservative/republican nutjobs that are after all the money instead of just most of it
All the snack foods & premixed foods are high. Snack foods & pre-made cookies are bad for you anyway. People have gotten lazy. Save money, buy the ingredients, and make your own, healthier also. Snacking might not be so often if you have to make it, and people will lose weight and be healthier.
9:42 That tuna in a pouch @ $.69 is a *good buy.* The name brands are now $1.19. The shelf life is very good, and it's 'light' tuna, which is what you want because its lower in mercury than 'white.' The lemon pepper is tasty. We just bought 6, great for a quick wrap, or add to a salad.
Maybe what these stores should do is just put a ( ? ) mark on the sticker because it goes up all the time and when you checkout 25 % the time its not what was marked on the sticker anyway !!!
Adli's Barissimo Single source Columbian is delicious. Worth the higher price. It was on sale and I stocked up. I use 1 oz per day, $.45. I reduced my coffee intake by 1/2. Win/win. Also, the organic free range boneless chicken breast are the best price in town at Aldis in NE FL, $5.79/#. I understand, prices are significantly higher than conventional. However, i make this type of food my luxury and I shop frugally for the specific products. I cook all meals at home, I eat out only when absolutely necessary. Also, I make my own yogurt, salad dressings, etc. It takes work and commitment to do this, temptations are everywhere. But the health benefits are astonishing. IMO, personal health needs to be at the top of everyone's Prepper list. Thanks Danno!

Maybe this is the fates that be telling us snack foods aren't worth it. Been on a diet and giving up snacks and sweets helps waistline and bottomline ($$).
I went to Walmart to pick up a few items I couldn't believe the prices increased so much.... Nothing is affordable After disappointment I took myself across the street to Aldi's still expensive I didn't find any deals . The only thing that was cheap was the baby carrots. I don't know why I'm in shock every time I go to the store now. I keep saying I remember when this used to be 1.99 now it's $5.00....
People need to change their habits...make things from scratch, might be more to purchase base items to make yourself but in the end it's cheaper when you make it from scratch and healthier...also stick to necessities, cookies, crackers and chip type food is not a necessity. If you cook up some food on a day off it's easier to make from scratch save money and eat better. Just reheat or eat cold and go
Had a little chili leftover from yesterday...so we took it cooked penne, red and orange peppers, onions, a little marinara sauce and baked it with mozerella cheese. So good.
Onions are still last years crop pulled from storage, so yes the price will continue to creep up until the new crop comes in which will be a month or so from central and south America
Im in england seems to be a problem with cereal stocks we went to tesco and they were fronting several cereals then went to aldi and lots of empty shelves in cereal section. If your in england and buy cereal may be worth getting a couple extra next time you go, thanks love your vids
I buy a pound of coffee from Peet’s and ask them to grind it for a French Press. Started making my coffee in a French Press because it tastes so much fresher and I like my dark roast coffee strong. My point is-coffee is my luxury item that I no longer purchase from Aldi. I do regularly buy their grass fed organic meat, organic eggs, Irish butter, and bagged frozen veggies.
Most people don't know how good they have it. I was forced to go all Gluten Free in 2013. My food inflation started drastically in 2013. Loaf of Gluten Free bread is over $5 since 2013.
Aldi is raising prices but they are still the cheapest place to shop around. It’s like Aldi is normal priced now and other places are overpriced, rather than Aldi being way reasonable and other stores being regular priced like it once was. The small cans of cat food(that are Fancy Feast size) have been gone at our Aldi too. I like that our Aldi has a lot of cheese and it goes on big sales often. I found some imported swiss cheese for 1.29 recently at Aldi, and several glass jars of ginger spiced peaches, like canned peach halves but larger size and in glass, for $1.20 each, and the croissants were on sale for 2.50 and they weren’t expiring or anything, they were just an Aldi saver I guess. I wish the Cafe Bustello would stop going up though. We drink espresso rather than regular coffee, and that stuff used to be way less.
Last week the raspberries at Aldi were $1.69 for 6 ounces. At the regular stores they’re $3 or a little higher. I got a case of 12 plus a couple extra. I made 12 half pint jars of jam. This week the black berries are on sale for $1.49 for 6 ounces. Again I got a case of 12 plus 2 extra to make blackberry jam. Will be making jam today. I am disturbed by the price of the canned mushrooms. Over a $1 for a little can.
We go to Aldi for produce, but that is disappointing at times. Won't buy milk there any longer, it is spoiled long before sell by date. Don't like the breads either I think Aldi is almost a no go for us
Local farmers market? I'd love to, but half gallon of milk is between $8-10. Sweet potatoes were $4 each. 5 carrots were $4. Pasta (less than a pound) was like $7. Eggs are between $8-12. Chickens are $10/lb for whole chickens. Pork and beef aren't even worth looking at at the prices they want. So we raise what we can, have chickens and shop the discount stores. I'd love to support local. But they priced themselves out.
I used to be able to get out of Aldis with everything we needed for the week for around $30. Now I'm lucky to get out of there for $60-$75 . I cant get the Aldi cheese slices (cheddar & swiss) to last very long...molding too fast & I take a cooler with ice packs to put my cold items in every time. The local grocery chain is hitting it hard & I'm finding more deals there.
Regarding the Aldi 5 oz cat food. My Aldi was completely wiped out 2-weeks ago. Previously they always had their shelves full. I was buying 30 or so cans of it regularly until I bought a case of Friskies at Sam's. Guess what? My 3 cats refused to eat the Aldi brand after that! What I have left has been feeding ferals. LOL
I used to buy my meats at Aldi because they were the cheapest around, not anymore. I bought some of the big mangoes and were no bueno, hard. And didn’t ripe

I went to my local Winn-Dixie yesterday and I wish I had been able to do a UA-cam video on that. The prices were so high I couldn't even believe that people could afford to buy them. Our avocados for $2 a piece. Our lettuce was two for $9.00. a bag of the three lettuce was $4.89. I could not even believe it. Our bag of apples are red delicious apples went to 599 to $8.99. And I'm not even looking at junk food, I'm looking at basic nutritional food to keep me alive. Because now I'm on on a low oxalate diet. So me finding these foods is even harder for me. I cannot believe how much fruit and vegetables cost. I cannot believe it I'm just so shocked. I don't even know how anybody's affording these prices. You know there has got to be a lot of food being thrown away. I'm in complete denial right now. My son said he didn't want to take me to the grocery store cuz he didn't want me to see the prices cuz they were so bad. I had just had kidney surgery and was laid up for almost 2 months and I had stayed home a month before that because it complications. Man I was in a world of hurt when he took me to Winn-Dixie.
I have never understood why people love Aldi so much. Their prices have always been outrageous, and for years they have been outright price scalping. The only "deals" I have ever seen at Aldis is the things that expired or expires that day they have marked down to pennies.
Great work danno, prices at the supermarket are rediculous inflation ain't coming down no matter what these idiot politicians tell us 3.1% per week price increase more like it like danno says shops the specials ppl cause next time U go back the price would of increased 🤔

Prices creeping up Danno.
There are no Aldi’s in Oregon or Washington.
Great work danno, prices at the supermarket are rediculous inflation ain't coming down no matter what these idiot politicians tell us 3.1% per week price increase more like it like danno says shops the specials ppl cause next time U go back the price would of increased 🤔
