Hi Graham, that's a lovely walk, when we had dogs i used to love getting up early & taking them for a walk while most people were still in bed, so peaceful. At the beginning when you were walking past the trees you were walking pretty fast, watching the trees go past i almost thought you were on a skateboard 🛹😂 Fungi...funnily enough, although i think i've got one somewhere, i had a book delivered yesterday on foraging. This one covers not only fungi but fruits, flowers & other things. I hope that walk did you good, that would be my favourite part of the day to get out for a walk but for ages now i don't seem to be able to get out of bed early enough 👍

Good Afternoon Kate, thank you for the comment - I love the early mornings when it is quiet ! I have been told I walk fast before but then again I am always in a rush to get somewhere ! lol - I have to say that foraging is something that really interests me and it is amazing just how much out there is edible ! The yellow flowers on Gorse bushes are edible and they taste just like coconut - I am really interested in Coastal Foraging and often pick and eat seaweed as we do not have any here in the UK that are inedible Dulse is a very meaty seaweed with a peppery aftertaste and Brown Leafweed can be used like Spaghetti and it looks like Spaghetti as well ! Nature does provide us with a bounty of things to eat if we are prepared to look ! I watch a guy on UA-cam called Atomic Shrimp and he does a lot of foraging - I also like watching Haze Outdoors who does quite a bit of Fungi Foraging and cooking ! take it easy and have a Lovely Afternoon :-)

Yes Kate there is something wonderful about foraging in the woods and as I have mentioned near to where I live there is a large woods and it is full of sweet chestnut trees and it is great foraging for them but as you mentioned some lazy dog owners don't pick up their mess ,so you have to tread carefully. But with the rotten weather we have had this year there have not been as many chestnuts on the ground unless I have missed the boat as they say 👍👍🌰

@robertlindop9365 yes Robert, i remember seeing them on the ground maybe a month or 2 ago. I don't like walking in woods round here anymore cos of some selfish dog owners 😉

@@grahamjenkinson3487 hi Graham, i never knew about the yellow flowers on gorse bushes, when i was little i was barefoot by some gorse bushes, i felt a sharp stab in my foot & went screaming to my mom & dad "a snake just bit me!"...🤣

@@kate6038 There are some very inconsiderate Dog owners about and those who do not clean up after their dogs really do anger me ! - have a great Saturday :-)
