My experience with using Answers as my Bible curriculum has also been good, and rewarding. Like you shared, we are both learning important things from the Bible in a clear, gentle way.
I love what you are doing with the bible verses. We are just beginning to learn Spanish (me too). I will keep the dual verse memorization in mind once we are able to speak better. I also use clipboards for the car. I'm a math teacher so math has never been a struggle but I think you are handling it well.
Thank you, yes the verses in Spanish are really good special to be able to keep trying to incorporate what we learned in Spanish to the rest of the subjects. Thank you ,Math it’s definitely not my strong subject. 😊🌺🌸
I recently discovered your channel, and I want to say that your use of these resources is absolutely incredible! I think it’s great that you focus on the confidence and proficiency of your kid, and that his personal interest takes priority. Do you have a video that explains how you come across these resources? I’m a college student, but I still find myself having to learn with resources outside of the classroom to make sure the information is solidified and I’m confident with it. I would appreciate any tips. 😁 I’m looking forward to seeing more content!
This was extremely helpful. I might look more into Traditional Spelling. We have Structure and Style as well and I am thinking about taking that really slow when we start it. Thank you for sharing!
Love your update. Thank you for all you do because it is so helpful to hear about all these curriculum. I would have him to use the vocabulary in his writing to make sure he is understanding it. My daughter does that when she writes. I hope we get to use IEW next year.
Thanks for taking the time on leaving a comment. I am glad was helpful. I think it is helpful to use the vocabulary that is already in the writing and grammar program. I know sometimes even when he looks at the word meaning as suggested by the program is beneficial to review and make sure they are remembering and understanding the meaning and how to use the word. I purchase a vocabulary notebook for that, but really I know I could’ve done the vocabulary notebook my self to save some money. Simple to do. I will let you know how it goes. 🌺❤️😊
I use the AAR sound app for the phonetical sounds. If I see we are going to study a new phonetical sound that I think might be difficult for me to pronounce, I study the sound first until I feel comfortable. You can do it! Struggling sometimes is part of the process to become better at something . Go little by little I know is difficult sometimes to not stress ourselves, but try to see everything as an opportunity to learn and get better at something out of your comfort zone. Sometimes I even make mistakes on purpose and you know what my son corrects me which in turns boost his confidence, lets me know he is learning and we get to learn from each other.
Mi kid its in 6th grade, but I use different grade depends on subject because I am going at his own pace. Ex: grammar he is about to reach high school level soon. Hope I explained well. 🌸🌺
