    Did the bugs get fixed with the startup loop? My nomad 883 didnt work the last time i updated. Others had the same problem as noted on the forum.

    When is carbide motion going to have a display to see the project,where the bit is and we’re it’s cutting?

    Will you be officially bringing your products to the UK at anytime soon? I have the Nomad but would like the Shapeoko HDM. The sellers are pretty few and far between here and don't have the latest stuff. Love the Nomad.

      I don't think we'll ever get the HDM into Europe, but the Shapeoko 5 Pro is pretty close in performance, a little bigger, and is easier to ship today.

      @@carbide3d Can't seem to find anyone selling the 5 either. Best I can find is the 4 from the robot shop but even they only have two in stock. Can I not order one from you directly? Or alternatively I'd love to become your European distributor in the UK

    Shapoko 3 XXL. Do not have a carbide router nor do I have a carbide spindle but do have another aftermarket spindle installed that uses PWM control so do I just still select Carbide Router or VFD Spindle??

    • @Basement_CNC
      @Basement_CNC 10 місяців тому

      is it a routen --> click Router (anything where you set the rpm on the spindle itself
      is it a vfd spindle --> ckick vfd spindle ( anything with pwm control)

    I updated to the latest version of Carbide Motion. Bad idea. After following the instructions, XXL, HDZ axis. Now when setting up a project it warns me the Z axis will go above the top of the machine or you can run it anyway. If I run it, it hits the inductive switch and then throws off the Z height. I imported a file I ran several times in the past, zeroed the Z to top of material and the same result. Anyone else having issues with this update? Also I called Carbide 3D about 6 times in the past 2 days, no answer and no call back after leaving a message. Very frustrating.

      It looks like you got a reply very quickly after you emailed in. CM told you the job was set up in a way that would hit the top of the Z travel and then it did, which means it's likely one of two things:
      1- The zero is not set correctly.
      2- The retract or Z height of the job exceeds the Z travel with the zero in the current location.
      If you reply to Will, he'll help you work out the problem.

    I just got my 5 Pro setup, was on the call with Customer Service because Carbide Motion will not read my CNC. Connect button won’t highlight and the computer says there is a malfunction with the usb connection. Does anyone know if I just need to replace the usb cable?

      Are you using the stock USB cable or a different one? Definitely reach out to support@carbide3d.Com if you keep having issues.

    My shapeoko 3 XXL gets to the initialization step in the setup process and then tries to home DOWN instead of up, fails to find a limit switch, and crashes into the wasteboard. Is this update ready for primetime?

    • @carbide3d
      @carbide3d  10 місяців тому

      You might have to input a command to flip the direction of your Z axis. Support can give you a hand with that.

      This is only a settings issue.
      What Z-Axis do you have
      Resend the settings that match your particular Z-Axis and see what happens.
      If the issue persists, contact Support@Carbide3D.com
      They will help you find the correct settings

      @@carbide3d I've been shopping around for an eco system to commit my time and money to by buying a machine and software, and it's follow up like this that is your brand's best selling point. I'm learning from other people's experiences more and more that it's all about the support more than anything else. 👍

    Did Carbide 3D drop raspberry pi support in this version?

    Carbide motion is so slow. Just got a 5 pro and I don’t remember the software being this slow to respond from when I had a 3XXL
