Can you please get the new canik mc9 prime whenever it comes out !! and put it through your testing. Would love to see it on the channel
"Probably should start aiming" LOL, that was awesome.
Welcome back enjoy your videos. Don't expect any malfunctions!
Thanks for watching! I think it will make it without any issues.
I'm glad to see this one on your channel. Taurus for the most part gets no love from lots of people. I feel like you will go well beyond
1000 rds before a malfunction. There is another channel I watch and he has 1500 in his and running strong. I hope it does great for you.
Keep em coming. I have missed you content.
Thanks, Donald. I was pleasantly shocked by the gun. I’m happy we picked it up and look forward to shooting it all week.
I love how you just take whatever firearm you are reviewing right out of the box and just start shooting. I did that with my Mossberg MC2 9mm and my friends and people at the range gave me shit about it but my reply was that’s how I check the reliability of it. I have a Taurus TX22 and if that GX2 is anything like my 22 you won’t be disappointed. I know mine is a 22 but I have like 800 rounds through it with no feed problems from the magazine or going into battery. Just typical 22 round reliability and it eats everything I put through it. Taurus has definitely stepped up its game on the reliability and craftsmanship of their firearms.
Thanks for watching, Eric. I think the packaging grease myths are why people go home and thoroughly clean the guns. I’ve been planning for a while to get my hands on some heavy duty grease and apply it way too heavily to see how the gun runs. I think Taurus probably gets the short end of the stick in a lot of situations. It’s not a “cool” or flattering brand to people.
@ I don’t get the hate myself. I remember when Taurus first hit the US. The designs were nice but reliability wasn’t there but as time has gone on they have gotten better with their builds. For the price point you can’t expect them to be on the same level as say a Dan Wesson or Colt or any higher level pistol but I think they come close to them.
@ I think a lot of the hate is just repeated nonsense people heard somewhere.
I'm part Brazilian so I'm emotionally wanting Taurus to do well. I have the TX22 Comp and it's a blast to shoot. Don't have any of their 9mm for whatever reason. Hope this review goes well because there are a ton of broke ass people, me off and on like anyone else, out there who need affordable options.
@@BB-yh5rd my brother has the Taurus 9mm that was molded after the Beretta 92 and he loves that gun
It's a great time to be a pistol shooter. Glad you like the gun. I picked up my own budget .38. A Heritage Roscoe, for about the same as your GX2.
Plus on another note you'll be hitting 5k subs soon. Congrats!
Welcome Back Nick !!! Missed your videos !! Let’s have a great 2025!!! There were a lot of new guns at Shot Show 2025 hopefully you can review a few of them
Thansk, Gary. Tons of guns at Shot Show that I’d like to get my hands on. Thanks for watching.
Got a G3XL, which is like a G3C lower and G3 upper, and have had no issues.
That’s great news.
Looks promising.
It does look promising. I wasn’t sure what to expect.
@ I’ve always wanted an inexpensive Taurus. Hopefully, the GX2 passes your 1,000 round review with flying covers.
@ it’s very smooth. I don’t think we will have any issues.
I think it will go a thousand rounds without issues. Watched some other videos and it seems to be reliable.
I think it will go with out issues as well.
Hey thanks for the video. I would really like to see another update video with the Springfield XD mod 3. Keep up the good work!
@@AllenNone that’s a good idea. I should have did that a few days back.
@@AllenNone that’s a good idea. I should have did that a few days back.
I like that it has full slide rails for a budget gun.
Right - I’ll talk about the more tomorrow.
Almost at 5k this series will def put you over. Want to see you thoughts or ranking on this and the other affordable you covered like the RXM and Mod 3
Thanks for the support! Tons of quality options these days. We will see if we can compare/rank the guns.
As always, I enjoy your rambling/ insight thoughts😊. As to the red dot/optics cuts on a carry pew pew as to me? I could care less, plus rather shoot irons. Red dot for me is nice on a range toy.
Thanks for watching/commenting. I agree completely.
SPRINGFIELD & CANIK ARE THE NEW KINGS 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
😂
Tarus make good quality guns. They are not the best at anything and their finish doesn’t hold up as well as some but they are shooters you can depend on. They are also one of the best values in the gun world. The GX2 sells for around $260 in my area and they are a lot of pistol for that low a price. Hard to beat pistol value !
It really is hard to beat the value.
Dang Taurus I see you... I know it's good when it gives Nick the giggles @9:00
Tisas PX9 duty (optic ready) $259 @ buds gun shop for your next affordable 9mm!
But the Canik MC9 Mete 'Prime' is what everyone wants to see, my self included
@canik send this man a review gun!!!
Please and thank you
We will add it to the list. The local FFL should have the Prime on order for me. I’m looking forward to receiving it. I’ve said to many bad things about the Canik TTI for them to send me a gun hahaha
👍👍
Nice budget gun
Seems to be a lot of ppl that really like that pistol
It's tough to say anything negative about it. We will see how it does on the way to 1000.
Taurus crazy people 😂
I think it'll go 600-700 before it might have a simple malfunction. Feel like I need to see these in person because it looks bigger than I'm thinking it is.
I’ll do some size comparisons. It’s not very big but it shoots extremely flat.
Any chance of you doing a review on the Kimber CDS9? 😊
It’s not very high on the list. The Kimber videos don’t seem to do very well.
@averagemarksman understandable, thank you for the response and continuous videos!
My G3c in .40 was $232. GX4 was a little more.
I almost bought the GX4 Carry last week to compare it to this one - I still might make that happen.
My GX4 Carry just runs, and runs, 2100 rounds thru it and it's just comfortable, almost boring recoil like the G2 and G3c. Something about the larger frame of the Carry that to me puts it in another class above the G3c, and into the 365 Macro class of guns, and it's just as accurate.
please review lcp max
It's hard for me to consider the LCP Max when the Bodyguard 2.0 is available.
Quit saying 300$ these can be found for 250 all day long and 1500 round isn’t shit for that gx2 it’s already been confirmed guy
$250 plus taxes, shipping, and transfer fees. So $300? MSRP is $309. I purchased the gun at cost, didn’t pay shipping or a transfer fee and still paid $241 after taxes and a gun call. Go away.
Nothing made by man is perfect. Yet, you receive a gun from someone you do not know and, without thoroughly personally inspecting it, cleaning it to remove the packing grease and all foriegn material, and properly servicing it, you risk life and limb by loading and shooting it. That is the same lack of logic as shooting an excessive number of round through a gun, without any care or lubrication, to try to make it fail. As a gun owner, it is my goal to keep all the firearms I shoot in the best possible condition to perform safely and reliably.
Brian, I agree nothing is perfect. However, I’m not a gunsmith or an armorer. I could take it apart and think it’s perfect but be completely wrong. An EDC pistol should be able to operate in severe adverse conditions with a huge variety of ammo. But if we went by the logic that you should trust no one but yourself - you better load you own ammo, better yet - make your own gun powder so you can load ammo. Form your own brass so you’re sure there isn’t a defect in the casings - I could go on but I think you’ll get the point.
@averagemarksman With all due respect, your argument is ridiculous. Get real and take responsibility for yourself. Nothing I listed requires a trained gunsmith, reloading your own ammo, or making your own gun powder. (That's pretty childish, isn't it?) As a responsible gun owner, you must know how to operate safely, take down, inspect, clean, and properly lubricate your firearm(s). A gun owner who does not know these basic procedures should learn them to maintain his or her personal safety and the safety of all those around them. Please do not lead those who watch your videos down and irresponsible path.
@ did you drive the car when you purchased it from the dealership or did you take it apart in the parking lot before you drove it home?
Modern guns are not packed full of "packing grease". These guns are not sitting in some warehouse somewhere for years like older military guns used to be. They are also proof tested at the factory. Get over yourself. Do you change the oil in your new car before you drive it off the lot to make sure it's better than the factory fill oil? He is running a test. He does it the same way every time. KISS.
Taurus, when you need a cheap gun that will probably function or not
I thought it was $200?!
@@aslanyo cheapest I’ve seen is $240. MSRP is $309
@ thanks man
