@@Parpeing It seems like it's difficult to show your love for the game when you're trying to compete at the very very highest level where you have to optimize everything and grind matchups etc. Like this his knowledge can flow freely and he can show what he truly enjoys. Would say the same for Armada, trying to be the best really took a lot out of him, even if he loves the game.

FZERO X has better local multiplayer IMO but both are amazing. Cant believe they won't make a sequel on the switch with online capabilities. among the greatest travesties of our generation
@@stopchangingmynameyoutube Because Nintendo thinks that if they can't innovate on a game then it's not fun/won't sell well. That's like the Nintendo principle, to innovate. That's what they've been doing since the Wii came out. Unfortunately, for us, they can't think of a way to innovate F-Zero. To us it's simple, we just want F-Zero, but THEY can't just make the same game for the third time. They don't dare do it.

@@samwisedidier7312 3D in 64, Flood in Sunshine, Gravity in Galaxy (I guess Yoshi in 2?), the 2Ds had all the new mushrooms , then also 3D in new super mario 3D world, Mario Maker... there's been SOME innovation, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. The Star Foxes also had new things, same for Metroid and Zelda. Luigi's Mansion I don't know but I bet it did. Smash Brothers have new systems, items, and characters, but I guess they are the biggest offenders, their formula has been pretty much the exact same thing.

This series has been some of the most informative and interesting Melee content I’ve ever watched on UA-cam. Loving these types of videos so far. Someone else recommended that Salem play on Anther’s and have M2K coach him and give advice and I think that would also be a great idea for a video.
Edit: btw I can tell Jason has really enjoyed making these videos. He’s a lot higher energy than usual lol. Great to see
I like these videos. It puts into perspective just how many options and scenarios you have to cover to capitalize neutral and edge guarding. Ultimate has a lot of movement freedom and is pretty fast pace, but it's simplified. People will always travel in intended directions, smash DI is very weak, crouch isn't godly, outcamping is very hard against most besides incineroar and mac. The things that make Melee so imbalanced also gives it a ton of complexity and depth.
as a professional captain falcon main whos been playing for 5 years with consistent top 50 rankings in the uk scene, honestly i spam nair in neutral until i get a hit, then i smash my face against the c stick into knee and most of the time i do alright.

when peach is above and on a platform don't bother with up air, just avoid and find a way to get around and attack with dair above her. you litterally might get 35-60% from doing that depending on how good your sdi is.

I learned a lot about Falcon tbh, probably one of my least understood characters. You should still mention his recovery mixups, not that he has a ton of options, but it’s worth mentioning. Salem might not know he can refresh his double jump with falcon kick or how to reverse ledge grab, sweet spot, fade back/forward, or when to recover high or low. Still loving this content though

How much worse would the overall meta of Melee be if we didn't have Mew2King doing all his crazy in-depth analysis of various scenarios and frame-data? I bet we would all be worse overall without his knowledge and experience.

My hands hurt so much when I play melee, I'll start out at the beginning of a session and be able to wave dance decently well to pressure but by the end I start messing up basic Wavelands ugh anyone got tips?

You can loosen up your L and R buttons by constantly mindlessly spamming them so they become lighter triggers. I used to have a wrist problem for using index finger for the L button so I switched to the middle finger and there’s no strain now. Also remember to warm up your hands with exercises and warm them up before starting to play

Do NOT up-tilt edgeguard in the falcon ditto, thats a huge social faux pas and you have so many other options for covering the ledge. Even just down-tilt is usually more than good enough, or bair, up-air, stomp, knee, pretty much anything.
