There is also the iOS port, i know it doesn’t count for many but it’s actually pretty damn good, has a new character, new boss and also and RPG mode that lets you collect and equip stuff. Worth checking out!
Bravo for your 1cc, you handled your bombs very well. Any good shmupeur must know how to bomb (use their bombs well). This last stage of the castle is not only difficult, but it is also long.
I just finished my first 1CC of deathsmiles (and my first shmup 1CC). I definitely feel the comments about the controls. I actually just use standard arcade controls for deathsmiles instead of bothering with turbo or a custom control scheme. That's just too many buttons for a shmup (for me).
Have you ever had any problems with your 360 like RROD? I went through two of them back in the day and still have them lying around haha. Excellent vid as always.
nice! this is my first shmup, and on the 3rd playthrough i can get to the final boss without a continue on rank one. how do you aim up with rosa for the last boss section where he's above you? subbed!
That s great! So the way you look up is by basically holding a bunch of buttons or using the "targeting magic" button. The trick though is that the magic shoots behind you are first, so you have to be turned the opposite way and then hold the input to get it to target upward
@@TheElectricUnderground ah it's the auto target lock...figured it out lol. i've always avoided these games aside from playing arrow flash and abadox as a kid cuz i assumed they were too crazy. been missing out, but ya...def my new go to when i get a free hour of game time. after watching urs and shmup junkies vids on games for new players i settled on death smiles. so fun!
City Connection are going multiplatform with Deathsmiles I & II, and Unity could be the easiest way for them to get that done. They use it all the time, and i find that a little concerning when it comes to STG ports. The engine itself could easily add an extra frame of lag, and If that's the main thing people are worried about then it really should be eliminated. Lets hope they port from source with no middleware layer in between this time, like liveWire
Fuck, When they kept saying City Connection my mind kept going Live Wire. I was expecting the good effort of the other Cave switch games. Deathsmiles is my favorite shmup of all time(and is in my top 5 favorite games period), so I got the collector's edition for switch. I appreciate them bringing back the classics, but don't pick up the IPs if you're gonna do a shit job. Here's hoping for sub 10 frames input lag 🙏
Absorbing suicide bullet is pretty fun. I can actually 1cc this game but my dumb obsession on absorbing bullet always makes me want to go level 3. I always pick Sakura in MBL 1.1 because I am I suck at handling option. Hot take: the lack of slowdown on MBL 1.1 for the Steam version is the best thing ever.

On my current 360 no because it has a fan mod and is a later model, but I have had an older 360 that red rings

Ketsui 2 all omote is my main goal right now :-) though I ll probably 1cc some other games before that clear :-)

Ha that s great, possibly so I haven't played a lot of mbl but Sakura is a beast in it for sure
Good game for shmup beginners, it’s not too hard to get the 1cc and you can make it harder as you get better. It’s a little cringy though.
