Thanks for the video. I’m looking into getting this set after not being confident with Thules (not the dealer type)carrying a roof top tent on our FW. Have you put anything over 100lbs on these bars?
I haven't yet. I was planning to get a roof top tent as well, but haven't figured out my storage option for when it's off the Forester yet. Just Christmas tree's and small things so far.
I just picked my FW up a couple weeks ago in magnetite as well. It's so strange that there is such conflicting info out there. I ended up going with the Thule Wingbar Evo with matching feet, which according to Thule online are also rated at 220. How are you liking driving with them so far?
That's interesting! I wonder if it's the same as the Yakima where they were only claiming the 165 rating due to standard raised rails rating or something like that. So far so good, there is more wind noise then I had on my 2019 sport with the Subaru crossbars. I just bought the Yakima Wear Strip to fill the top channel to hopefully help somewhat with that. Enjoy your new ride!
@NewbieWithASubie I know the OEM Thule feet/bars are only rated at 165. I just installed the crossbars and the Nameless dual chamber axle back- so I might not notice the wind noise haha.
@@leadsoplove That must have been what I saw about the thule option when I was looking when I first got my vehicle. I've been eyeing that exhaust and an intake, but I'm planning on waiting out the warranty for those kind of upgrades.
Thanks for this video! Recently purchased a 23’ Forester Wilderness and currently deciding between the Jetstream bars vs HD bars with Yamika Timberline Towers. Prefer the slightly longer 55’ bar and additional weight capacity on the HD’s but wondering how much more wind noise they have versus the jetstreams. How are they working out for you so far? Thanks!

I got a 18 forester and purchased the same as you with an offgrigo cargo basket.
