Hey Tina! 👋 My problem is my back will not let my work out. I can't even stand for 10 minutes without my right leg going so numb on me that I'll sometimes hit the floor....HARD. I just saw this chair yoga today and marked it to check out later. Watching this couldn't have come at a better time. With my knees, I couldn't squat at all. Oh, don't get me wrong......I can still get down with the best of them.....I just can't get back up! Good luck, tfs, and I'll see you soon 🌈 🌻 🤗 😘 🥰
Good for you starting today! I’m a sugar addict too, but not ready to commit to giving it up, especially this time of year! lol! But I admire you for addressing this now! Have a good one my friend!❤️
I know that I will have treats when we are together with family for Christmas, but if I avoid it on the other days, it won't be too bad having those cheat days. And maybe it will be easier to go cold turkey after Jan 1.
Way easier to do tiny little habits that build into bigger habits overtime… I’m terrible at forming habits, but I did finally create a skin care routine that I stick to major miracle! I also did really well with my exercise routine over Covid, but I didn’t have a UA-cam channel at that point no grandson nor was I doing pretty much anything so exercise was easy to fit in . My goal is to try walking in the morning .., but then I forgot and realized I wasn’t a morning person😅😂😂
Bahaha, at forgetting you aren't a morning person. Me either! All those people with their morning journaling and morning walk--I get up at 6:30 as it is to get ready for work. Not getting up earlier! And once my day starts, I'm pretty much going until I stop at 11. But these little 6 minute videos are not so bad for fitting them in.
Speaking of 20 minute workouts, do you remember the show The 20 Minute Workout? I used to do that everyday, then they took it off the air. Good for you! I can't do some of those moves you're doing anymore, due to my Dermatomyositis, but I'll definitely jump on the bandwagon to get moving more everyday. I'm not a sugar addict, I'm a salt freak, and have to watch that for sure. The only sweet I have daily is a tsp of honey in my coffee. Thinking of doing Dry January (after the 1st, haha) though.
I'm thinking of using December as a lead up, changing a few things slowly, and then doing my version of a 30 day hard (is) after the first and really trying to cement some new habits.
I row on my rowing machine [a concept 2 rower] every day. I like it because it does so many muscles with the one action of rowing and because I'm lazy I like that I don't have to do a whole lot of other exercises for my legs and arms and abdominals because that's all taken care of with the rowing action! I also bounce on a rebounder . Well done with the chair yoga darling xxxx
I've noticed my leukemia symptoms are waaaaaaaay worse when I eat sugar. My biggest food priority is protein. I hope you keep the exercise up! It really is key in helping us sge well.
That is good information for you to know! I did pretty good for a couple days, but had some dairy free ice cream last night. Today has been better again.
There are so many good reasons to stop the sugar, especially during our phase of life. I’m about to do a video about that. And also, I need to share about the three things I avoid eating, which helps me to stay healthy. I’m with you- we need to maintain our mobility!
Hubby and I love to hike, so that’s how I get my workouts in. Especially if the trail has significant elevation. 🥾 That gets the heart pumping!
Definitely important to do something you love. And having someone to exercise with helps with motivation for sure.
I love getting those salads. They have so many great varieties and so easy!
@michellenylander8957 this is the first time I got one. It was good.

I thought of you when I found the chair yoga. It's pretty gentle. And I think you could easily modify anything that didn't work for you.
I definitely need to get more mobile with sitting at a desk all day!
@michellenylander8957 you could take chair yoga breaks. A minute at a time throughout the day!
Love this!! I need to get my tusshi moving more too!! I love my sweets too. 😮
I never succeed if I try to do too much all at once. Hopefully, the slow pace and a few changes at a time will be easier to stick to and build on.

Good morning, Liz!

That sounds really efficient! After I get used to moving more again, I want to add some weight workouts too. Good for bone health!
