I think Jerry does a lot of research to present his biographical videos. I've watched several and look forward to viewing as many as possible. I've read a lot of autobiographies & biographies and the primary thing I've learned is that everybody shares the same sort of struggles in life. We are only temporary residents here and should learn to take care of ourselves and those around us.
Just blows me away how people can dislike this, shit is factual and to the point. I simply enjoyed it and mourned/reflected. Piece to him and his family.
Jimmy Chanbers Can I please just ask your logic here? Liberals are the ones pushing for racial respect and rallying for poc characters to be played by pocs.
@@gotmybootyout5793 Indeed. I have no idea where the Chambers' and Caspar's of the world do their research, what they listen to, how they come to believe the complete literal opposite of reality in so many cases, like this one. Complete nonsense. One begins to think that this type of thinking has been repeated by rote. As if these are no longer rational people but robots. Repeating the same uninformed, extremist "bullet points", because someone has pulled (and continues to pull) a certain trigger in their minds that has been installed by their cult leaders. Are you familiar with a comic book character---a very old one---called Bizarre-o? Not sure of the spelling, but this was a character who originally appeared in Superman comics in the 1950's, as Superman's exact opposite. If Superman did a good deed, Bizarre-o Superman would do something evil. If there were really smart things to do in this world, the people of Bizarre-o world did stupid things...I think you can guess where I'm going with this. I always remembered the lesson of those stories was to do good in the world, like Superman did. To fight for the underdog, to support brotherhood among all people, and to help those in need. And I continue to try to listen to people now who are trying to do the same thing...and help put an end to the "Bizzare-o" world we are in danger of becoming.
@CASPER 12345 Where (specifically) do you get these ideas? Give a number of examples, and expand, (in detail, if you can). What do people dislike? What are the "things" that liberals do not like? And, conversely, what do liberals actually like?

Thank you for giving the person behind a character many of us loved from “one flew over the cuckoos nest” life, when a lot of us didn’t know a thing about him. From Uk 💜
His unbelievably charismatic debut in cuckoos nest never leaves us. I have thought of his presence in that film and in Josey wales over and over and over again. It’s amazing that his charisma and talent were able to rival Nicholson and Eastwood. I can’t think of many situations where this has happened. Nicholson and Eastwood are so intimidating to go up against. Samsons face was beautiful and intense. I think about him often due to the power of his presence but knew nothing about him until watching your film. Thank you for all your hard work and for drawing attention to artists.
Really, really liked watching this guy in the movies and on tv.Didn't know he was an artist. He is missed. Grass Dancers are interesting. Back in the oldies while the tribes were traveling, at the end of the day the leaders sent out the young men to select a campsite and tromp down the grass for the night. Being young, their dancing got competative, whirling and stomping, sometimes copying the prairie hens. Grass dancers wear more traditional dress and decorations, not the neon colors of the Fancy Dancers. They are the best at the Pow Wows.
While working in New Mexico bank vaults, I met a young Indian dancer. He was often allowed time off, away during 'ceremonies'. His job in the vault swapped out full bags for empties and balanced the coin count, labeling the denominations into log as fast as the automated counting machines spewed the coins. When he was a little behind on the routine, he often remarked that the vault had "Too many chiefs and not enough Indians" :)
Great and fantastic actor! Mr. W.W.S. was a man amongst men! Respect! Salute! God bless his soul forever. Rest in glory. "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" is, was and will always be a cinematic movie masterpiece!

Jerry, My husband and I first saw this movie when it was originally released in 1975, it was the best! (Sonny) Will played such a memorable role in the movie. The ending scene when Will, as "Chief" Bromden, symbolically sets his friend McMurphy free after his lobotomy by saying, "I wouldn't leave you here like this" and suffocating him with a pillow, then himself escaping the mental institute by ripping the hydrotherapy stand from the floor and throwing it through the window and climbing out to his freedom... ...we lived a thousand lifetimes through that one scene. Bill G well said. Mr Skinner is a heck of a good narrator.
His voice makes me feel comfortable...almost like listening to my grandfather. I feel like mr skinner would be a very interesting man to talk to
This what's another one of your wonderful stories thank you again Jerry
I think Jerry does a lot of research to present his biographical videos. I've watched several and look forward to viewing as many as possible. I've read a lot of autobiographies & biographies and the primary thing I've learned is that everybody shares the same sort of struggles in life. We are only temporary residents here and should learn to take care of ourselves and those around us.
Just blows me away how people can dislike this, shit is factual and to the point. I simply enjoyed it and mourned/reflected. Piece to him and his family.
Amen
They are liberal whistleblowers
That was a beautiful tribute and life story for Will -Sonny- Sampson.

Will Sampson is my kids' great-uncle. Their grandmother is Norma Jean Sampson. He'd passed on by the time I started visiting my late mother in-law at her house on Will Sampson Rd in Okmulgee, OK. His mother, Mabel lived next door. I remember that she had Sonny's pictures all over her walls because she was so proud of him. Thanks for the interesting video. I've heard a lot about him from family over the years.
Melody, thank you so much for your comment. I went to miss Mabels home on will sampson road in search for information. Everyone was very helpful. Thank you again and hope your family is doing well. Jerry
Thank you Melody. Your words add so much to Jerry's video.!

You said it so well, he did have charisma and a strong presence. I always thought he was very attractive. -Linda (vangogo).

How fascinating!im glad they keep old traditions alive.
Oh, that's very interesting to know! Thanks for sharing. :-)
I heard he was also a shaman too.

God bless his soul forever.

@@anitafloydsarratt7487 I knew Sonny personally and I can tell you he had a great sense of humor. He may have played many serious, stoic characters in his films, like Ten Bears, but behind the scene he was always making everyone laugh.
