Having just discovered your wonderful channel some compliments are in order. First and foremost, the actor who plays you. Terrific. Then of course the camera operator who doesn’t miss a shot. The script writer who provides just enough, but not too much. Also the chef, even if it’s just hot water in a bag. And the makeup person who must insist you always smile and never complain. I’ll be doing some catching up and wishing you safe travels, and thanks.
When you are in the Pennines take care around circular depressions which could be grassed over mineshafts, bell pits or potholes. Humps are often grassed over spoil heaps from lead mining.
Liam, you beauty! The year with you and thousands of viewers with some great, traditional video footage. The return of the pink shoes, teeth brushing (x2), tea making (x2), one pan cooking, a banana for breakfast (in much better condition than usual!), the tent that looks so frail, a philosophical look at life ... thank you, don't change anything!! Greetings from Cape Town!
My husband (pictured) and I have been watching many of your video adventures. Your attention to detail in video and explanation is excellent. We love your attitude. You are doing beautiful work! We very much appreciate you sharing your experiences with your viewers. Godspeed Liam!!!
Cheers Liam. I'll give Tumbet a whirl - my usual go to camping stove meal is stir-fry with pre-cooked noodles which is quick and easy and also gives you some vitamins - important if you're on a long trek.
Tumbet comes from Mallorca , normally served with pork but you can eat it with anything , burial ground the hump that you slept on .. don't know but maybe ..have fun
Hi Liam, The reason the sound was so clear that morning is probably due to something called a temperature inversion (warm air traps cold air)… you may also smell things from far away when this happens, very much enjoy the videos!
Recommending The Walker's Guide to Outdoor Clues and Signs by Tristan Gooley. It describes this and numerous other natural things to discover during walks.
That's really interesting. This happens to me a lot on hiking trips too and I had no idea why. I just googled it to learn more. Thanks for educating us hikers 👍🏼
Beautiful! I'm jealous because I'm at 1,060 metres, covered in snow, which most likely won't melt for another few months. Thank you for sharing the great outdoors!
I went for a walk at this exact same spot on the 4th January. Beautiful area of the peaks, and I basically stood just down the hill from where Liam set up camp in the video. It's a small world.
@@finn3224 I recognise the cement works (chimney tower), and could tell Liam was looking over to Lose Hill at 6:07. Look for a circular opening on Gmaps to the left of Ladybower Reservoir.
Those boots are a bit....bold 😂 amazing sunset and beautiful night sky! Just had my dinner and seeing your dinner has made me hungry! Winter camping isn't my cup of tea tbh, not so much becaaue of the cold but because the hours of daylight are so few. Great video lad 👍
Have an amazing year dude, just got back from a trip to the Brecons. Very wet and very windy but a great way to start off the new year. See you on the trail!
I thought that too 😬. Like one of those ancient celt mounds. Well he never leaves any mess anywhere he goes does he, he's ultra responsible, so I'm sure it'll be fine if he did.
Great find mate! Always love watching your videos, find them very relaxing. Had a little look into Tumbet and turns out it’s a traditional Majorcan dish, will definitely be trying it out myself soon!
Great stuff!!👍👍, Found your channel recently and watched a few of your video's, I'm going to get round to watching them all soon, I've been motorcycle camping for around 40 years now but not a lot in the last decade, the missis isn't keen anymore which is fair enough but watching your video's has inspired me to start getting the tent out again on my own, I'm ashamed to admit that I bought a new tent in the summer of 21 but I've yet to use it, this is definitely going to change this year. Thanks again and keep up the great work. Well appreciated here.
I absolutely adore your videos, Liam! I am chronicly ill so unfortunately, I don't think I could do this (I'd give it a good go though as I love walking and being in nature) Your videos really help me when I have my flair ups. I was struggling to sleep last night, I watched a few of your van videos and some of your camping videos, and it made me feel so cosy. Please keep up the amazing content, and thank you so much 😊

Hi Liam, firstly a happy new year to you. Great little film as per usual mate, looked like a great hike and camp, keep them coming they are our little trips out into the wild. Cheers Glyn.
I believe that hill you camped on is actually an ancient burial ground. Ive camped in the woods around it, but having been told that fact, it was as close as i wanted to get!! XD Just watched your Canary Islands vid...awesome. I want to do that :)
@@ziggysawdust5407 Just what Ive been told, and im quite interested to do a bit more research into it. I've heard there have been ghost sightings around there (not a big believer in that though, but..........)
Great videos Liam... just a thought, maybe you could give a quick talk on the history of the area you’re in? Battles, Roman roads etc.. Keep up the good work though mate 👌
You should walk the jurassic coastline this spring in Dorset... you could start at Portland and walk to Beer... the beaches are amazing and the cliff walks have great sunsets with views of the sea... You would pass through Lulworth cove and Durdle door which are stunning :)
Ace mate. Should do the Raad Ny Foillan on the Isle of Man, 90 miles of breathtaking coastal views in a giant loop around the Isle. Should look into it, make for a great video 👍🏻
Tip, fry the meat a lil first to brown it then put it aside. Cook veg as you did then put meat back. At the very end put tomatoes because otherwise it'll virtually stop the meat from cooking through. If you can carry it, put a lid to simmer, saves loads of gas. Voila.
Another amazing video, so relaxing to watch. It looks like you camped on an ancient hill fort or motte and bailey and the trees are where the moat would have been, just a thought.
I know that spot well. Bit of a trek to get up there but worth it with the views from the side of the forest. I was out on Stanage Edge that day and have never seen so many people out there! Never wild camped on the hill though. Assumed it wasn't flat so glad you found a spot
You are doing an awesome job with the videos, you are giving me so many ideas for new adventures. Thank you. Will you be coming to the USA for some hikes anytime?
Hi Liam, great vid as always mate. The building you point out is the cement works in Hope. It looks like you're above Edale. I go mountain biking up there. Great spots around there to wild camp, but can get very busy, especially in summer.
o man that food looked really nice made me feel hungry lol happy new year fella look forward to whats to come from you this year hope its a great year for you much respect
Nice views looking over Lose Hill there :) I hope you are planning some UK hikes this year? You really are an inspiration, walked the Gritstone and Sandstone trail last year, planning the Limestone way for as soon as the days are a bit longer and the paths a bit less muddy.

The Timelapse part was awesome 👏
What a find! I wonder if it was a fortified settlement in ancient times.
Perfect time lapse of the night sky and beautiful sunlit trees.
yeah or a burial mound
It looks too denuded to be a cairn, which were often built on hilltops, I’d guess it’s an old hill fort. I’d love to go and see for myself.
