    Thanks for sharing. I’ll have to make that one next. I’ve made the cheesy chicken and rice a few times. Been wanting to make the chili. Just haven’t gotten around to making that yet.

    Made this last night. Amazing. Cooked perfectly. I set a first timer for 25 minutes. When the timer was finished I went back and checked the time on the multi-cooker then I set a timer for the remaining time on the multi-cooker. I found the key is to let the steam pressure out as soon as the cooker beeps, then open cooker and let set about 10 to 15 minutes with the lid half off. Thanks for the fabulous recipe! Looking forward to more dishes from my Crock-Pot Multi-cooker!

      Hi Jami! So glad you liked it! The spaghetti wasn't burnt after cooking it for 25 minutes? Or do you mean you let it sit to thicken up that long? Would love to know! Thanks for the comment and for watching!

      @@crockpotempire the cooker heating up time was 25 minutes. I set the first timer so I could check the cooker to see if the steaming time had started. I steamed it for the 8 minutes suggested, might do it 7 minutes next time because I think the carry over cooking that occurs as it sits will make it more al dente. I let it sit for at least 15 minutes.

    • @jamibishop7208

      I made sure that I released all of the steam pressure as soon as the 8 minutes was finished.

    I skimped on the water to avoid the initial soupiness and ended up with a few spaghetti clumps as a result. I think two jars as stated in the video are the right thing to do.

      I used less water the second time I made this because with two jars there was just too much sauce. (Not all the water evaporates.) However, one of my daughters loves pasta with extra sauce so it was perfect for her!!

    This is a great recipe! But how long would you cook the pasta is you were not making spaghetti and meatballs?

      @crockpotempire  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Erika! Good to hear from you and great question. You must have telepathy because I was literally just thinking about this last night!!!! My son has been wanting plain spaghetti noodles every day in quarantine! LOL
      I have been experimenting with this and will definitely do a video because there are a lot of variables. If you just do PLAIN spaghetti or shells the time is 3 minutes with a natural release for 10 minutes to keep spewing from occurring! 5 1/2 cups of water per pound of pasta with no sauce. If you want to add sauce to the spaghetti like in this video it is only 4 1/2 cups of water and a jar of sauce for 16 oz. Hope this helps and that you stick around for the pasta video! Stay well!

    Can I use fresh meat balls from the store and what would be the different timings please? I would appreciate your help on this one.

    • @crockpotempire
      @crockpotempire  4 роки тому

      Hi Bernie! You absolutely can use fresh meatballs, but they need longer cook time than frozen obviously! So, in order to make sure they are cooked through you will have to brown them first. Raw meatballs take about 12 minutes and the pasta only needs 8 minutes. Give them a really good sear in some olive oil on sauté mode for about 3 minutes without moving. Then rotate and let sear for about 2 minutes until each side is browned and they should be just fine! Then follow the directions on this video. You can also watch my Homemade Meatballs video to help you with the searing! Just make sure they reach 165 degrees internally after cooking! Bon Appétit!

      Anne Jones I’m so sorry to hear this, Anne. I test these recipes multiple times and many in our CPE community have had this turn out great. It’s all a perfect science to the amount of sauce/noodles/water and all of the exact measurements are on my blog. The link is in the description box and if you want you can always cut the water down by a 1/2 cup. 💖

      It is considered cooking because the food was not cooked before it went into the pot and cooked when it came out. Not everyone has time to make sauce, meatballs and spaghetti at suppertime, so using store-bought items helps them. I make meatballs and freeze them for later use, but many people are quite satisfied with meatballs from the supermarket. Other people do not like their own food as much as store-bought food. What others eat is of no consequence to you.
