literally anything and everything is more painful. For instance, yesterday i removed the battery tray... 2 bolts snapped and the nutplate for the clamp rusted out. Time wasted and a trip to the hardware store classic.
Same way coming out. just make sure to have one lined up when you put it back up there. If you ever get on bolt in you can have the whole thing spin to the others (only hand tight at first). Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
I'm planning on swapping my current 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee broken transmission to a remanufactured transmission. Do I need to program the TCM? This is going to be a stock to stock transmission.
What a pain in the arse. I have to replace my flex plate starting today. So many bolts and wires. I did an old Oldsmobile 350 tranny in about 2 hrs around 1980.
This one was not 4x4. but, it would be the same process except there will be another shorter driveshaft coming out of the transfer case going to the front wheels that would have to be removed. So an extra 8 bolts not to bad. Hope this helps!
I have a 2005 I just bought and a few hours of having it I started having problems with it getting stuck in third. Is there anything besides the transmission that you could think of that might be causing this, like fluids need to be changed ?
I hate to hear that. But, start with the raiser to fix stuff like checking your fluid level make sure you have enough in there. Also, check the color and smell of it smells burnt. Let me know what you’ll find. I wish you the best! Thanks for watching!
No, the transmission was shot needed to be replaced. If yours is just losing fluid just look around for the problem could be a simple gasket problem. Thanks for watching!
Listen bud, it was one of my earlier videos. So it is a bit dark on some spots. But, you should still be able to see how to do everything related to the job. As far as face palm emoji on the trans lines please tell me what I did wrong? I literally just rewatched it and instead of focusing on the lines I jump to a few more things that needed to be took off. But I take the lines off easy?
Wish the clip was brighter , it'll be the best trans removal so far ... stil it's very very good informative sir ... thumb up
Ya I’m always trying to improve. Thanks. Thanks for watching!
Great video saved me 2k you rock brotha
Awesome! Always love to hear that I could help save someone some money. Thanks for watching!
Awesome thanks ill be trying this tomorrow. On the ground of course.
Racks make life easy but you can do it! Good luck!
Is there a difference when changing transmissions on a 3.7 liter vs a 4.7 liter?
I believe it’s the exact same. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
More light! Can't see half of what you did, especially the tourque converter bolt removal which is why I watched this vid
I apologize I tried to use the GoPro on this one did have a ton of lights ready. But, I feel it was pretty well shown. Thanks for watching!
that was the worse for me other then the rusty exhaust bolts
Good job It would help to use a tree light frees up that other hand
Ya I’m always trying to improve my videos. Would you recommend the Milwaukee one or do you have one you do recommend? Thanks for watching!
Good job! Love the new camera work too!
Thanks!
Must be nice to turn bolts that haven't spent over a decade in Cold North winters so jealous
Ya, I’m not envious of all the rust the north has to offer. I bet exhausts up there are horrible to work on without snapping.
literally anything and everything is more painful.

Wow, ya that’s crazy.
How did you go about installing the torque converter bolts back onto the flex plate?
Same way coming out. just make sure to have one lined up when you put it back up there. If you ever get on bolt in you can have the whole thing spin to the others (only hand tight at first). Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Good video bro. Wish it was a 4x4. I'm going to drop the transfer case first
Thanks! Ya usually when doing 4x4 I just take off the front driveshaft and still drop it the same. Thanks for watching! Good luck!
@@JunkyardJunkie thanks for the reply have a great day man
You too bud!
What size bolts hold the transmission to the engine?
I don’t remember off the top of my head. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!
It’s good I Appreciate it, is there any way I can send a picture to you to confirm the bolts I need?
The easiest thing to do is call up your local dealer and they will make sure you get the correct factory bolts.
Best to drop the whole subframe and change the trans
Have to disagree with you boss man. This isnt front wheel drive it’s got one cross memeber from coming out. Not a bad job.
I'm planning on swapping my current 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee broken transmission to a remanufactured transmission. Do I need to program the TCM? This is going to be a stock to stock transmission.
No, that should be a straight forward swap. Thanks for watching!
Did you have to do any programming with the scanner after you replaced it or did everything work just fine without any re-programming
It worked perfectly without needing to program anything.
What a pain in the arse. I have to replace my flex plate starting today. So many bolts and wires. I did an old Oldsmobile 350 tranny in about 2 hrs around 1980.
I hear ya. But I’m sure you’ll knock this one out pretty easy. Let me know how it goes. Best of luck! Thanks for watching!
Is it the same for a 2008 Laredo
Yes
Was this a 4x4? and if not is it harder or easier than this?
This one was not 4x4. but, it would be the same process except there will be another shorter driveshaft coming out of the transfer case going to the front wheels that would have to be removed. So an extra 8 bolts not to bad. Hope this helps!

Did you do this because of spilling transmission fluid?
No, the transmission was shot needed to be replaced. If yours is just losing fluid just look around for the problem could be a simple gasket problem. Thanks for watching!
What engine/trans does this jeep have?
4.7L I believe. but, don’t hold me to it. it’s been a while since I worked on it.

Stopped watching the darkness when I seen how you removed the trans lines. 🤦🏻♂️ it's a jiffy tight fitting takes 2mins to pop out.
