I’m so appreciative of the fact that you’re being honest about the first night being rough. I watch so many of these videos and they just say “last night was amazing!” I want to hear how bad the bad nights are!,
It was hard! The second night too honestly. Now we’re mostly just struggling with daytime naps. He hates napping, haha!

As far as I am concerned I hear so many things about bad nights and bad postpartum experience. Rarely people talk about the positive or the amazing... It makes me afraid of giving birth and what comes after that, even if I'm still happy and excited.
@@deiapavaloi4954everyone doesn’t have a bad first experience mines was wonderful i think people too easily are influenced by what people on social media say now days
For my (4 babies, 1 on the way) the first 2/3 nights have been pretty chill apart from waking up to feed them. The days and nights after that is when the hard stuff begins but that's my experience. Every baby is different.
First I just want to say it's so nice to see the Dad so happy and involved, you usually don't see how excited the dads are in these videos and he was so happy and excited. He's going to be a great dad. Second the nursery is so beautiful I love it you did suck a great job it's gorgeous. You two are great parents already and look so happy, baby Rowan is the cutest. I can't wait to have my baby boy i'm only 8 weeks now via IVF and i'm so excited to have a boy.

@@stephaniedeklerk5754 I'm wondering the same, I was under the impression that the earliest you can find out is after 10 weeks with a blood test but it's even longer through an ultrasound (I'm 22 weeks pregnant and found out the sex at about 15 weeks)
If you genetically test the embryos you know straight away
I should clarify they don’t test for gender but for normal numbers of chromosomes. Knowing the gender is just a side effect
Never watched your videos before but I’m totally hooked now. We are preparing for our first baby and I love the rawness of this video. I get tired of seeing these perfect videos of everyone with their newborn and not sharing the reality. Also trying to see what it’s like with covid. Thanks for this 💗

As a secondary comment, I wept at each little introduction to his new bedroom. Like you've been containing your excitement to do the room reveal to him for your whole life. The love pouring out of those vocals.
Aw absolutely! I was SO excited to finally have him home in the space I had been “nesting in” and preparing for him for so long!

Hes cluster feeding to bring in your milk.❤ it gets easier, just give it time. The first few days are the hardest .

@@MeganAcuna good! It takes a few days for your milk to fully come in for baby. Always remember never get discouraged because it isnt going how everyone else says its suspose to, every baby is different, every mothers bodys are different

With swaddles, my son hated it but he liked the ones that are like a sac with velcro straps. LIFE SAVER.

Today I’m 4 days over my due date and I’m so excited but I’m getting really impatient I just want my little princess to come out, as the days pass the more anxious I get I hope she’s here soon, I have my stretch and sweep tomorrow to see if that’ll help but I honestly don’t think it will, wish me luck and pray that she comes soon please 🥺❤️ also you’re amazing parents and his room looks amazing!!

Literally birth was NOT the worse pain I’ve felt in my life. I worried for nothing. Waist down I was completely numb from the epidural . The pushing part was so easy . Best experience ever 💖

You didn’t feel pain cause you took medication, try it without the epidural.

@@xavierkramer4056 it’s natural, many women go the natural route, it’s all about the position you’re in an mindset when giving birth to ease the pain.
Also many women develop back pain after getting the epidural needle. So it’s all about preference. A long term for ever back pain or a few hours of labor pain.
@@meeksw455 no shame in wanting epidural. Doesn't make moms who took that route any less amazing and powerful. I took epidural and my back feels completely fine. The most important thing is that mom is in the best state of mind possible so that she delivers a healthy happy baby.

This may be super irrelevant now (being 11 months ago).. Ive recently learned with my baby that lip smacking indicates acid reflux and can cause a ton of fussiness. May be diet related in breast milk as well as stomach underdevelopment. Hopefully this helps someone! Upright feeding and holding baby upright after helps a ton as well as trying to eliminate things out of diet that may be big triggers or super acidic.. such as: caffeine, dairy, acidic drinks, acidic meats.

Babies love when they’re on their belly they sleep much better and pushes out the gas while you can watch them, put them on their belly and they will fall asleep, and when you bring them home like that, they have to be swaddled and covered with a blanket to sooth them too

Y’all are so cute. I can remember times when I was up all night with my daughter because she was cluster feeding. Just remember to sleep when he sleeps. It’s so hard at first and there were times when I would cry too but it definitely gets easier. 💗💗💗

Oh Daddy....when you sang Love You Forever at his birth I cried as that is the book I read to my Grandchildren and now my two Great Grandchildren. When the two of you showed Rowan his room and I saw the book amongst the others I teared up again. Baby Rowan is such a lucky little boy. CONGRATULATIONS

You did awesome. Rowan is such a handsome little boy. Your rabbit that was on the couch reminds me of my dart rabbit that I had. His name was Gable for Anne of Green Gables and he was called Gabbie. Same type of colors white body and black ears and tail. He was my library pet when I was the media specialist at the primary school where I taught. He was such a sweet rabbit who loved being around my students. I gave him to of my students who are sisters when I was moving to a different state. They had cared for him whenever I had to go out of town and loved him as much as I did.

Your first night home with Rowan sounds exactly how mine was with my Son. It's so scary, upsetting, frustrating, perplexing, overwhelming, you know! LoL there needs to be a manual or Siri should help with some suggestions. It's the least she can do, right? LoL I'm sure it's better now. Congrats y'all!! 🎉👣🎊👣🎉👣! Rowan is sooo handsome. Oh ya! The first few months are going to feel like it flys by! Then you will blink and he's 5. Another yawn and he's 10. You decide to take a nap...he's 15. Finally, you blink again, he is 20 and off on his own. Life really does fly by. My best advice for y'all is to slow down so that you can take it all in any chance that you get. He is only little once y'all. Enjoy this! I never understood why parents say, “when you get hurt, it hurts me more than it hurts you.” But now, I finally understand🥺. When your baby started crying bc he got a shot on his little foot, I imagined that baby boy as mine.. you know how I would feel if I was in your shoes.. & ouch🤕it hurt. I started crying. It hurts seeing your child get hurt.. I now understand where my parents were coming from this whole time🥺🥺.

I'm catching this video late but yes! I used to feed my twin sister cornflakes while she pumped and I would do the night shift so she and her husband can sleep. New baby is always a crash course on family life.
