A lot of people on my recent (17th Dec) Cunard Queen Anne cruise walked around in bathrobes to go back and to to the pools, they used buffet to take food or drink outside
Most people I watch clearly state when they get a paid promotion or are invited to the travel event. I appreciate the honesty. No robes in dining areas ever. Shoes are a must.
Yes they should let us know because I want an unbiased review and I don't think that's possible when the influencer is on a free cruise. Bathrobes are not for public areas.
Yes influencers should disclose when they get free cruises. I’ve seen many MSC yacht club cruises lately I know are sponsored but that was never disclosed in a way that was apparent. I figure most cruises influencers go on are sponsored. As far as bathrobes go I never eat in the buffet on cruise lines for many reasons, over crowding, poor food choices, no service, rude passenger behavior ect. I always eat in the MDR or a paid resultant or room service.
Me personally I don’t feel like influencers should disclose if they were offered a free cruise or product if they don’t want to. As far as the bathrobe in the buffet and no shoes you are not at home it takes 2 minutes to throw on a Tshirt and some shorts and flip flops. Please do it!
Ugh scammers make me so mad! Bathrobes in room only! Yes anyone getting free cruises should be disclosed! Also I've seen that pic of the lady in buffet, I think she does have on nude colored shoes but no robes out of your room!
I’m on vacation as long as you don’t show up to the main dining room in a swimsuit or a banana hammock I don’t care🎉 Yes influencers should. ANY time I get free to me stuff I tell my viewers
Story 2: Absolutely they should. Particularly those cruise UA-camrs who are also travel agents. People aren’t stupid, the conflict of interest/bias does tend to shine through when they gloss over obviously negative stories related to either certain lines or the industry. Transparency is also a form of respecting the judgement of your viewers as well.
Influencers should say if they are on a free cruise. It is human nature that if the cruise line is paying your way you would be less likely to criticize the cruise line. I really have a problem sometimes when influencers do sound like they are doing a commercial for the line
My FEELINGS about a Crews Ship or a Line are My Own and not for Sale , But I can see some others Using the System. I'm with You on that ...Cursing is a Place to DIAL -it-Down But there is a Limit ...Even the Buffet ..
It’s totally inappropriate. In fact I’ve been on a cruise when On of the officers or upper level cruise staff member stated over the PA system that the bath robes provided by the cruise line are not to be worn only while we are in our cabins or private balcony.
First if you have a T-shirt and shorts on I see no problem.Might be cold fine, shoe is a must. 2 I follow lots of cruisers you can tell when it’s a paid trip because they are all on the same ship in a small amount of time
Here is my take on influencers... right now MSC is giving away cruises in the Yacht Club. The influencers all seem to say my thought are my own. But they all seem to be following a script... what am I going to have a butler do... how can i go back to regular cruising... almost line for line. And I think that some creators do a great job with disclosure but still fall into this trap. But I watch UA-cam videos to gain data and insight, not to follow any one creators' recommendations. So I like a more clear disclosure. There are a couple of creators who typically pay for the cruise but get freebies on board, but are so transparent that I do not mind. On the other hand, creators on junkets seem to be disclosed only in passing. I loved one vlog series where one creator busted the 'junket's' special handling and privileges... So even if the junket goers disclose they are getting freebies, they are not getting an experience open to others.
I paid a $1000 for my robe and it’s going everywhere I go on that cruise. I’m enjoying myself so I could careless what others have to say. But put on a pair of shoes or slippers 😂
I mean while I would never wear a bathrobe around, it wouldn’t upset me or I wouldn’t be bothered if I seen other people doing it. We’re all on the cruise to have a good time and enjoy our vacation so if that’s one of the ways they wanna enjoy it. I don’t see nothing wrong with it.
If the paying passenger isn’t exposed, it’s exactly NONE of your business. Focus on your French toast and your AARP. If the cruise line is charging $6 for water, I can assure you that ambience isn’t part of the package. 😂
Bare feet.. heck to the NO! Bathrobe, I honestly don't see much difference between that and a bathing suit cover up. Just as long as they got something on under neath it.
Bathrobes are alright (as long as they stay closed!). Footwear, and more than socks, are an absolute must. Influencers should disclose if they are on a free or heavily discounted cruise. Stay transparent.
Newbies definitely need to be warned about this scam! All the guys (influencers) I watch usually pay for their own cruises, and are very open about the rare occasion when they catch a freebie. That's the way it should be! The bathrobe, I wouldn't, but have no real problem with the idea, especially before 7am. However they should at least have flip-flops or cute slippers on.
Personally idc what you wear anywhere on the ship as long as you are not naked. What you wear is not going to affect me getting my food, sitting down at a table and enjoying it.... but it will give me something to talk about!
When it come to bathrobe and no shoe, it a big NO NO. Without shoe in non pool area glass chip plate chip debris on floor etc can injures yourself. They should enforce no shoe no food policy in those area. Also floor may have chip or nail may pop up as well. Bathrobe is part of sanitary safety. This is why multiple cruises are getting nori virus and other sickness as well. These are public places and we need to have these area as clean as possible. If they don’t like it do it at home.
YES, influeners should always be upfront and honest about all the freebies, perks, and bonuses they receive. NO, bathrobes, including PJs, and barefoot, are not appropriate in any of the dinning areas. Grow up people, if you don't want to get dressed, then order room service.
So happy you asked about the bathrooms in the buffet. I find it interesting. The dichotomy that exists with this. If I want to walk in in a thong bikini and eat, I’m more than welcome. But if I wear a spa robe in between appointments, I’m asked to leave. If I take the spa robe off and just have my underwear on, I’m good to go. I think it’s not convenient my husband. I spend a lot of time in the spa when we cruise, which is monthly and to have to go back-and-forth to change to go eat them back again to change for the next appointment. It is incredibly frustrating, especially when I see women there with hardly any clothes on.
The standards have certainly dropped, he should have been told to at least wear shoes, no need for that, so what happens when he drops a hot coffee cup onhimself is he going to blame the cruise line, I've never seen it on the cruises that I've been on. Ridiculous!
Do you honestly think even if they disclose receiving a free cruise the Influencers would be Honest?? Not really, because they want to be invited back to sail again for free!
I think they're fine to walk to the spa, the pool and anywhere outdoors or on the way to outdoors or back. I don't think it's cool to lounge in the public areas with the robes. It also wouldn't be so bad if they didn't want to come into the buffet in their swim suit; so they grab their food in the robe and go back out to the pool. I would not sit around anywhere in public areas in a robe however. That all being said, it doesn't affect me in any negative way to see it, I just think it would be strange. And yes, no shoes is very very strange.
It's my understanding that there is a new FTC crack down going into effect February 2025 focusing on false endorsements, the Influencers and the brands they represent
You don't have to tell anyone about what you have received. They worked to get that free cruise. You gotta look at it like a bonus from another job.and...HELL NO TO BATHROBES IN THE BUFFET!! people just wanna push the boundaries. Bordering on stupidity.
Bathrobes should be banned in the buffet. Reminds me of Pajamas that some kids and adults that I have seen at a hotel free morning breakfast. Seems our younger adults are trashing our society.
I prefer not to see bare feet and robes at the buffet but I am much more bothered by the lack of hand washing and the food touching. I simply steer clear of the entire scene. A definite yes to full disclosure in terms of cruise influencers. That said, I feel like it is pretty easy to weed out those videos that are clearly paid for. If a channel never has a bad thing to say about a particular cruise line, take everything they say with a grain of salt.
At the buffet, I don't care what others wear. It is none of my business. I would prefer a bathrobe to the outfits that some women wear which are essentially a skimpy bra and panties. The no shoes grosses me out a little but still is no skin off my back. Cruisers in general love to complain about others who do not live up to their standards. Who cares? Enjoy your vacation and let others do the same.
No, people need to have some decorum. That’s what wrong with the world. You need to start behaving and acting like adults. We live in this world together so behave.
Do you honestly think even if they disclose receiving a free cruise the Influencers would be Honest?? Not really, because they want to be invited back to sail again for free!
Cruise News: STOP Doing This in the Theatre on Your Cruise! ---> ua-cam.com/video/eCm711JzG10/v-deo.html
No bathrobes in buffet!
No bathrobe in the buffet and shoes are a must!
Yes, influencers need to disclose any and all types of incentives, over $100, provided by any cruise line. Incentives can twist opinions!
If you want to stay in your robes for breakfast , then order room service.
Transparency, that is the best way. No robe anywhere on the ship, for your cabin only!😊
A lot of people on my recent (17th Dec) Cunard Queen Anne cruise walked around in bathrobes to go back and to to the pools, they used buffet to take food or drink outside

Thank you for your comment
Full transparency. Definitely shoes are a must
Yes they should let us know because I want an unbiased review and I don't think that's possible when the influencer is on a free cruise.
Bathrobes are not for public areas.
I think there should be a dress code for every restaurant, which includes the buffet.
No bathrobes at the buffet. Inf
Yes! They should disclose if they got a free ride! Ban the Bathrobes at the Buffet!
Also, cruise lines need to enforce rules…
Restaurants would not allow or tolerate that behavior!
Me personally I don’t feel like influencers should disclose if they were offered a free cruise or product if they don’t want to.
As far as the bathrobe in the buffet and no shoes you are not at home it takes 2 minutes to throw on a Tshirt and some shorts and flip flops. Please do it!

Yes, they should say
Bathrobes in the buffet? Come on.. Standards!!!
They shouldn't be allowed with no shoes
No robe in the buffet!!
Bathrobes should be left in the cabins.
Absolutely not!!
Your bathrobe needs to stay in the cabin. Mines coming along with me to the buffet 😂
Bathrobes are to be worn in the cabin period
I don’t care about the robe but put shoes on please. Shoes are needed for safety and hygiene.
Its assumed that Influencers who seem to constantly support the lines stance on issues are being "paid"...whether they disclose or not is immaterial.

Yes, disclose the paid promotion. It would be good to see cabins and amenities that most people can’t afford 😊
Yes. The people I follow all let us know if they were comped or not
I use the bathrobe from the cabin to the spa…Get strange looks…
No, haven't heard about the scam. No to bathrobes in any eating area. Yes to letting people know you're getting paid or getting a free cruise.
No bathrobes in any restaurant.
No bathrobes in Dining areas
If the paying passenger isn’t exposed, it’s exactly NONE of your business. Focus on your French toast and your AARP. If the cruise line is charging $6 for water, I can assure you that ambience isn’t part of the package. 😂
Stupid is as stupid does! NO bathrobes anywhere but in your stateroom!
For the money, these huxters charge you for sailing on a boat. With some decent food, you should be able to do whatever you want.
some people have no upraising! NO! dress like you have some sense!!!
Bare feet.. heck to the NO! Bathrobe, I honestly don't see much difference between that and a bathing suit cover up. Just as long as they got something on under neath it.

Not allowed in restaurants, shouldn't br allowed onboard in dining venues.. think Room Service!! 😆
Ugh, not in a food area
It's my understanding that there is a new FTC crack down going into effect February 2025 focusing on false endorsements, the Influencers and the brands they represent
Bathrobes should stay in the cabin. Except when I watched 4 young women who jumped in a glass lift and opened them for a flashing photo🤣
absolutely not!!!
I think bathrobe is totally inappropriate. Order room service or get dressed first.
Or spend some time in the casino and you'll get a free cruise too.
No
Bathrobes don’t bother me, or the bare feet. I see people barefoot with swimwear straight from the pools in there. No big deal.
You don't have to tell anyone about what you have received. They worked to get that free cruise. You gotta look at it like a bonus from another job.and...HELL NO TO BATHROBES IN THE BUFFET!! people just wanna push the boundaries. Bordering on stupidity.
The usual suspects!!! No robe in public!!! No shoes🤢🤢🤢🤢 NO SURPRISE AT ALL!
Bathrobes should be banned in the buffet. Reminds me of Pajamas that some kids and adults that I have seen at a hotel free morning breakfast. Seems our younger adults are trashing our society.

No no no no
Are these the things we should even be bothered by or talking about involving the cruise scene? Really?
Bathrobes are not for war
I don't care about a bathrobe, it's the bare feet that bothers me. That bathrobe covers more than many bathing suit cover ups do.
no bathrobe in the Buffett. you are not at home my friend. wear something else.
Robes need to stay in your room, worn or not.
Get - Toe
At the buffet, I don't care what others wear. It is none of my business. I would prefer a bathrobe to the outfits that some women wear which are essentially a skimpy bra and panties. Free cruise? ehh, who cares and it's no one's business! BTW, would anyone walk into McDonalds or Denny's in a bathrobe and bare foot??
No class
Do you honestly think even if they disclose receiving a free cruise the Influencers would be Honest??
Not really, because they want to be invited back to sail again for free!
No class
