- NEW YORK, June 17, 2024 - Asia Society New York hosts the screening and panel discussion of the film "America’s First Guru,” a PBS special documentary about the legendary Indian monk Swami Vivekananda's experiences and impact in America. The panel speakers include filmmaker Raja Choudhury and Swami Sarvapriyananda, minister of the Vedanta Society of New York. Dr. Mukesh Prasad of the Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute at Harvard University and Diya Radhakrishna, Arts and Culture program officer at Asia Society, moderate the conversation. 🙏 to true Guru teacher of Advaita Swami Sarvpriyananda only sad we are still in bondages of who we are born as body consciousness. Swami is true reformer true teacher of today time . True Guru because of him also Intrest in Veda you see in humanity 🪷
I felt bad that Swami Sarvapriyananda was hardly given any chance to speak being invited as a panel speaker.

Sanatan Dharma and religion concept are not same. Hindu Muslim Christian jain Sikh Budhism Islam are not same. Adi Veda which is from nature, came to Earth Bharat by reaserch of Vedic rishis Param yogi Brahmagya . Hindu India name given by foreign invader's. Sanatana Bharat.
I watched the full documentary, and it was wonderful, but I wish they hadn't used an actor (or maybe this particular actor?) to portray Swamiji. He was so unable to capture the spirit of Swamiji, and it was almost painful to watch his ego-inflated, soulless performance.

An orange fancy dress outfit - impressive. America’s unspoken Guru is towards his last years, and has contributed Breakthrough mental health and accomplishment all around the world. He is Jack Rosenberg, A.k.a. Werner Earhart, who founded Landmark worldwide. Certainly, it transformed my life.

The word " Guru" itself is eastern in its origin so the very first Guru that brought the concept of Gurudom to west cannot be a westerner !
